Proximity to business partners and customers is important for success. This is especially

true in the music industry, where delays in product submissions are often deal-breakers.

Based in San Francisco, Epiphany Music faced a familiar challenge, as the major hubs of

the music industry are in Los Angeles and New York City. The physical distance between

Epiphany Musics office location and their target customers was threatening thecompanys growth. Not only was it time-consuming to mail or courier sessions

recordings to major labels, it was expensive, too, with overnight shipping costs climbing

above $100 a day.

Sharing content with clients anywhere

account. They simply click a link provided by Epiphany Music, quickly upload large media

Accessing and syncing content improves efficiencies

YouSendIt is a critical component of the office workflow at Epiphany Music. Often

Newburgh will send up to 300 WAV files that have to be bundled together and shared

through multiple cycles of editing, mixing and mastering. When the post-production and

editing work is completed on a sessions recording, Newburgh shares the content with his

audio engineer who mixes them. Then the audio engineer updates the wave files which

are instantly synced to Newburghs computer for review and approval. Newburgh then

shares the audio files with the mastering engineer, who finishes the mix and sends it back

to him immediately using YouSendIt.

Signing contracts on the go

In addition to sending, sharing, and receiving high-value content, Newburgh also uses the

YouSendIt e-signature feature to sign major contracts. Instead of receiving a contract,

either in person or by mail, Newburgh receives them electronically. He reviews the terms

of the agreement online and then simply signs the contract using the YouSendIt mobile

app. Its even easier than signing for a UPS packageI dont even need a pen, Newburgh

says. I just read the contract, sign it, and send it back on my iPhone. I no longer have to
