My Experience Now I know the Signs A few years ago my parents and older sister, who live in Southern California, came to visit us for about 10 days. My Parents landed and went straight to the golf course on base. My Father, a retired Marine, has access so they like to advantage of the base facilities. My older sister who’s not into golf decided to stay behind and help out at the store. After several hours of working I bought my sister lunch and told her to use the back office to eat. I thought I would join her for lunch and when I went back to the office I noticed she was having a hard time eating the large burger, all the items were falling out of the buns. I asked if she needed help and her reply was, I’m tired I don't want to eat anymore I want to go home and sleep. I told her, Mom and Dad will be back in about an hour and you guys can go check in at the hotel and relax for the rest of the night. She didn't finish her meal and decided to use the restroom. After she came back her shoes were muddy, I figured she stepped into the plant bed, I asked her what happened and she was mumbling and got upset and said “I don’t know, I’m just sleepy let me go in the back and rest” as she was talking I sensed something was not normal and also noticed her facial expressions were....droopy. I called my parents and told them I was concerned, at first they blew if off saying she was just exhausted, she didn't sleep on the plane but I further explained her droopy facial expressions on one side and they said they were about 5 mins away and they will assess her condition. By the time they pulled up my sister was mumbling and not making any sense. I’ve never seen anything like this and I was really concerned. They took her to the ER and come to find out she experienced an aneurism!! To be honest I didn’t know what it was but after reading about it I’d say we were very lucky that my sister survived that episode. Her right lip is a little droopy but other than that she is all good...Thank God!! Now I know the Signs....Make sure you know them because it can happen to anyone, anytime and anyplace...know the signs and you could save someone’s life. What our members are saying about the made in Japan Straw Hat Wetsuit

*It is the best wetsuit ever. No break-in period, super comfortable, very warm and High Quality. You get what you pay for and then some. I stay out longer with no rash problems. Best warranty ever, hands down. Thanks Guys, Elton Y*The Straw Hat is the best surfing wetsuit I have ever bought. No chafing, no binding (especially under the arms). Makes paddling much easier. At first I was worried about the front zipper, but you can’t even feel it when paddling! Plenty of room at the throat area. Nice work South Shore! - Thomas K*This suit fits snugly and the zipper system does not interfere with comfort while paddling prone on the board. Very soft and Flexible. * Definitely a great investment. Great flexibility Keeps you warm, easy to suit up and high quality. Yes it is expensive, however, worth every penny as long as you take care of it and maximize it’s useful life. I am very happy and lucky enough to own one. *“Great Stuff!” Suit keeps you warm on those windy cold conditions. Well worth the money. -Denis Y.

Dryer sheets are Not Only for your Dryer1. Use it to dust your television screen. The anti-static chemicals in a dryer sheet will help to repel dust and lint.

2.Used sheets usually have enough fragrance in them to freshen up other areas in your home. Stuff them in tennis shoes, place them in closets, in laundry hampers and in pieces of luggage -- anywhere your house needs a little "refreshment."3. Have pet hair on your clothing? Simply wipe it off with a used dryer sheet! Also works great on cloth furniture too!4.Keep dust and other contaminants off your glass computer screen by

carefully wiping it with an old sheet.

5. Got a problem with mice? Find where they are entering your house and stuff the hole shut with a used sheet. Mice won't chew through the smelly material.

6. Place a used dryer sheet in the bag of your vacuum. Sweep your house, and, once you're done, the air will smell as fresh as your clothes do.

7. Is there a build-up of soap scum on your glass shower door? Simply use an old dryer sheet to eliminate the mess.

8. Use sheets to clean and polish the glass lens of your eye glasses. They're not recommended for plastic lens, though!

Member of the Month Andrew ReynadoThis month we have Andrew, a member that’s been coming in on a regular basis. He’s a real down to earth and genuine person. Andrew Thanks for coming in an taking the time to be interviewed for our Member of the Month section. Andrew could you please introduce yourself. A- Hey Dave! My born name is Andrew Reynado. My friends call me Drew, which you can also call me now! I am actually from Los Angeles, California where I grew up. Initially came to Hawai'i in 2006. Moved back to Cali for a little and had to come back here again in 2009 because I knew that this is best place to be!

D- Man you look like you are from here, how long have you been surfing? A - I actually never surfed in California, only went bodyboarding during the summers, where you can MAYBE, get away with just wearing only boardshorts...2 or 3 months out of the year, if your lucky. So I have been surfing for a little over 4 years now. D - What do you do for a living?  A- I work for a wine and liquor distributor here on the island, and sometimes have to travel for work on neighbor islands. I surf the South Shore. I work hard to pay the bills, and to pay for that nice board I saw the other day at shop. Too many boards and accessories to choose from, like a kid at the candy store!    D- I know for a while after you got your custom board from us you were missing in action, Kyle told me you

had a major accident in the water, what happened? A-Gosh Kyle got a big mouth! haha JK Kyle...all good! Yeah, it was early January 2012 during a North-West swell Makaha was big SNN Claiming 10-12. I surfed Tracks, its was breaking half the size. After catching a wave I was making my way out and a guy about 20 yards away kicked he board forward as he was bailing. As I ducked under the wave, he was right over me and when I came up his board hit my right eve and across my nose. That was super painful, my adrenaline was pumpin, my face felt like it was broke, I couldn’t open my right eye. I paddled in the people that seen it helped me out and I was rushed in an ambulance to Queens where I had my very first operation. Post surgery, reality hit me with news that I will not be able to see out of my right eye again. Accidents do happen. A matter of inches, a matter of seconds. It was nobody's fault. I just, always think that it could have been worse, and thank God everyday that I can still see, walk, and still surf today. Not paralyzed, didn't drown. Still can! I now use Sea Specs to protect myself but sometime I get blurry vision especially after the sunsets.

D- WoW!!! Well I’m glad your here today to tell us the story. Do you like traveling?  A- I do enjoy traveling, yet have only travelled within the United States and the Philippines. I have yet to go on a surf trip, but can't wait to go Bali, or even the Philippines, my motherland, I hear gets some good surf as well.

D- What do you do on your off time beside surfing? A- I try to make it to the gym, but surfing is so much more fun. I spend time with my girlfriend, go out, go eat and get fat! I enjoy good food, good drinks, good people, live music. I stay busy. Stay away from TV. I enjoy being active. Catch me on Instagram. Username idrew14. See what I've been up to!

D- Thanks Andrew and super stoked to have a member like you coming into the store!!!
