Inspiring and Enabling Action for a Better World

Dear friends, 16 teams – 33 changemakers and representing seven nationalities, have been selected to advance to the next phase of our 2015 YSE programme. They move a step closer to effecting positive social change for communities in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, India, China, Thailand and Vietnam. Their social enterprises range from empowering artists with disabilities through employment, to providing safe transport solutions for women, to promoting environment sustainability by creating value from used items.

These 16 were selected from a total of 41 teams who participated in the YSE workshop we organised in Singapore from 18 to 21 March. They will next be mentored by McKinsey & Company business consultants, participate in overseas study visits to India and Malaysia, and re-group in Singapore in October to pitch for funding for their social enterprises. All 41 teams or 84 participants of this year’s YSE workshop join our global network of YSE programme alumni which has grown to 350 Changemakers since the launch of the programme in 2010.
