Integrating Literature with Math, the students designed and built a model of a bridge using waste material. Social Skills - Created a story portraying transition in a relationship from foe to friend. Science - Researched on five different kinds of bridges, both physical and metaphorical ! Physical Education – Learnt that one can better athletic abilities by learning appropriate techniques

Bridging the gaps …

The students read, analyzed, and shared their reviews about the famous novel and viewed the film as well. ‘Bridge to Terabithia’ by Katherine Paterson

They ‘tweeted’ about interesting events that took place in the story, made diary entries, analysed different characters and their traits, drew comparisons and designed interesting and innovative book covers along with eye catching film posters.

Every child gave a different ending to the story and wrote a summary of the novel as well. They compiled their work as a beautifully illustrated booklet and presented it as a final product.

Students effectively used graphic organizers to graphically represent their understanding of the story. Charting details helped them explore and apply meaning to multiple perspectives.
