Öko-Tex Standard 100 yoga mats

High density foam with embedded polyester fabric for stability and durability. The matsare free of phthalates (softening agent), environmentally friendly and have Öko-Tex 100 Standard certification, which means they are skin-friendly for small children and babies.Durable and hard-wearing mats suitable for yoga schools and also for advanced practi-tioners. The weight of the mat with the conventional size of 60 x 183 cm is ca. 1 kilo or ca. 1.62 kilos. Both sides of the mats can be used. The mats are produced in Germany. Machine washable up to 30 degrees Celsius.

Attention! The black version of the Premium yoga mats is currently undergoing Öko-Tex certification and is „not yet“ distinguished with the Öko-Tex 100 Standard, product class 1.

Classic sticky mat with anti-slip surface. Soft vinyl foam with a thickness of 4 mm or 6 mm. Weight of the mats ca. 1.1 kg or 1.5 kg.Embedded polyester fabric for stability and durability. High quality exercise mat made from thermoplastic elastomer foam (TPE) with excellentmoisture absorption. Well suited to Pilates and gentle yoga styles. With velvety soft, very grippy surface. TPE foam is environmentally friendly, hygienic and allergy free. Up to 100% recyclable. The mat has a weight of ca. 1.2 kg.

Yoga mat PLUS

Hard wearing mat made from a rubber-PVC mix. The high density makes for a robust, extremely tough and durable mat. Very well suited to yoga and fitness studios. Stays well in place on the floor during dynamic yoga exercises. High levels of grip prevent slipping on the mat surface even when perspiring. reversible sides.

We have our mats tested for residues by the SGS Institute laboratory at regular intervalsto ensure that the levels of softening agents, colourings and heavy metals are harmless in accordance with the (EC) REACH ordinance. The test report can be requested at any time.Please note that the level of grip provided by the PVC and rubber yoga mats is reducedby exposure to perspiration or moisture as the material is not absorbent and so a thin film of moisture or oil can result in a loss of grip.

Yoga mat Wool

Well suited for slow, gentle yoga exercises and passive exercises in the prone position.The all-natural warming wool surface protects from cold floors and the width enablesarms to be laid to the side on the floor. Materials

We use exclusively high quality and hard-wearing materials for our medita-tion cushions and sitting cushions. The cushions are mostly fitted with inner cushion, the covers are removable and have a label with care instructions.

Meditation Cushion

Filling

The inner cushion can be opened via a zip fastening to adjust the amount of filling. We use only natural materials such as buckwheat husks, spelt husks (from certi-fied cultivation), kapok fibres and coconut fibres to fill the cushions.

Colours

A colour chart, which shows a closer ap-proximation of the original colours, is embedded on page 17. For space reasons there are no colour names listed for a few of the articles. With the help of the colour number you can find the corresponding colour in the colour chart. Please speak to your dealer or contact us directly if you have any questions regarding the original colour chart.

Yoga croissants

This crescent-shaped meditation cushion is suitable for sitting with crossed legs. Through its ergonomic shape the pelvis tilts forwards and the spine remains erect, crescent-shaped, cotton twill cover, zip fastening underneath, buckwheat husk filling, with inner cushion.

Classic yoga – small

The lower version of our classic round meditation cushion. At the request of many of our customers, with a low height of just 7 cm, with transverse running zip fastening underneath and carry strap, round, cotton twill cover. Yoga towel

The hand towel serves as an extension of the yoga mat. On the underside it has silicone dimples that prevent slipping. It absorbs perspiration and moisture and provides a ple-asant, soft, dry, hygienic and grippy base. The ideal companion in the yoga studio if you do not like to practise on other people‘s mats.

Care: Washable up to max. 60°, please only wash separately with only a little washing powder (around a third of the normal amount), do not wash with fabric softener as otherwise the absorbency can be reduced.

Yoga bolster – round

Ideal for stretching and breathing yoga exercises, e. g. laid lengthwise under the spine, supports the stretching of the ribcage. Perpendicular to the lower back it eases the lif-ting of the pelvis and relieves the lumbar vertebrae. It is also suitable simply for sitting. Who we are

LOTUS DESIGN® was formed in1986 as a branch of Nyingma Zen-

trum Deutschland e. V, a non-profit organisation for the promotion of

Tibetan Buddhism. Initially meditati-on cushions were produced, for inter-

nal use and for sale in the association bookshop. Soon after the cushions were

also sold to other meditation centres, eso-teric bookshops and furniture companies.

Since 1994 LOTUS DESIGN® has been an inde-pendent company, a subsidiary of Nyingma Zen-

trum Deutschland e. V. Over the intervening years the range of products and the turnover has increased

steadily, so that today we are able to offer a wide selection of goods for yoga, relaxation and therapy throughout Europe.

Meanwhile eight permanent employees take care of the smooth and rapid processing of your orders and their shipment throughout Europe. We were

able to attract two of our young colleagues through the support of the vocational training centre of the Michaelshoven Diakonie [welfare organisation] in the Rodenkirchen district of Cologne, and were able to open up a new professional perspective for them in our company by means of supportive integration.

Manufacturing and quality „We pay attention to quality and to social responsibility!‘‘

The manufacturing of our products is carried out almost exclusively in recognised disabled workshops in Germany. For example, the leather workshops, that for many years now have been sewing meditation cushions, sleeping pillows etc. in various different shapes and colours for Lotus Design® and Lotus Natural Sleep®. The experience and high quality awareness of these operations ensure long-lasting products. We are constantly striving to use only natural high-quality materials wherever possible in our development and manufacturing. We strive constantly to improve the quality and selection of our goods and because of this we are grateful for any suggestions.
