Prayer for Persecuted Christians Please join in us in praying this prayer for Persecuted Christians around the world Father in Heaven, you make your Sun

Shine on good and bad alike. Your Son Jesus Christ died

for us all and in His glorious Resurrection He still retains

the five wounds of His passion. With His divine power

He now sustains all those who suffer the persecution and

martyrdom for the sake of their fidelity to faith of the

Church. Merciful and mighty Father, do not allow Cain

to return again to murder helpless Abel, innocent Abel.

May persecuted Christians around the world remain, like

Mary, their Mother, together at the foot of the cross of Christ

the Martyr. Comfort those menaced by violence and those

oppressed by uncertainty. May your Holy Spirit of love

make fruitful the witness and the blood of those who die

forgiving. Amen.

Prayer Line

We have begun a "Prayer Line" here at St. Anthony's Parish. You may call our parish secretary, Regina Medina and explain to her, your prayer need, she will then call the next person on the "Prayer Line" who will, in turn, call the next person and so on. This is a way of guaranteeing that your intentions are being remembered in prayer.

Prayer Basket We have placed a basket in front of Our Lady's Altar,

in the sanctuary of the church. Please place your

written petitions for yourselves, your loved one, the

community and our world, in the Prayer Basket. Your

petitions will be remembered.

The Group meets in an informal worship gathered session to praise and listen to God. Praise is expressed in a number of ways: through scripture, teaching, songs, formal or spontaneous prayer, and silence. God speaks to those Charismatic gifts and personal sharing.

There will be no prayer meeting this Monday, July 13. We will resume on Monday, July 20th.

The English Prayer Group meets on Monday afternoon 1:30pm 3:30pm to in the Parish Hall. For more information, please contact Mrs. Mary Leite. All are welcome!
