Pres Laborte declared the meeting as quorum. The meeting started with a prayer led by Sec Abapo.

Review and Approval of the Previous Minutes Sec Tecson presented the minutes of the previous meeting held last 11 July. She

noted some corrections and grammatical errors. The Cabinet, then, unanimously approved the previous minutes.

Introduction of XU-URO Representative The XU-URO Representative was not available for the meeting but Pres Laborte

announced that Ms Kristine B Jamito was elected for that position by the XU-URO Community. Further, Ms Jamito will already be available for the next cabinet meeting.

CSG Expenditure Report for the Month of July Sec Banuag presented the info graphics of the July Expenditure Report and

distributed information letters to each department. These information letters state each department’s remaining budget for this semester. He also discussed to the body the total expenses for the month of July as well as the total expenses for each department for the month of July. Furthermore, Sec Banuag updated each department’s projects which were implemented and those incoming. He also added that the info graphics for this Expenditure Report will be ready after a week. The XUCPFA investigation is still ongoing but, according to Sec Banuag, XUCPFA will be handing CSG the percentage of the insurance fund.

University Intramurals Update Sec Neri presented the updates of the Intramurals according to what were agreed

from their last Committee meeting. He explained that the theme “The Xavier Cup: All in one Ateneo Spirit” was unanimously agreed on. He also said that this theme was inspired from the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Moreover, Sec Neri asked for more volunteers during the Intramurals because there is a need for more people to document the simultaneous events. This task was given to the secretary of DSecRep. The body, then, gave comments and suggestions regarding the theme. There are still some motions to change the tagline but the theme will remain. Sec Neri also announced that the Intramurals will start on 13 September and will end on 20 September. He also added that the advance games will take place on the holidays of August. Furthermore, suggestions for the Intramurals’ tagline will be accepted until 3 August.

XCCA Performing Arts Companies Overview Prior to Ms Detablan’s presentation, Pres Laborte informed the body that this

overview is for CSG to identify which activities can be partnered with XCCA PAC. Ms Detablan presented the overview of the nature of each company and their respective activities. It was decided that CSG will take part on the marketing of some activities of XCCA. Moreover, Ms Detablan presented to the body some concerns of the XU Glee Club regarding the equipment they need during performances in the university.

XU-URO Overview This agendum was skipped and will be discussed during the next cabinet meeting.

Advance Inventory and Archiving Program System Mr Noriga of DRS presented an overview of a more efficient inventory and archiving

system. He discussed to the body that this is a database to be used with LAN. Moreover, he explained the information and the system of this database to the body, including the registration of all organizations inside the university. After answering the FAQs about the database, it was suggested by the body that this proposal should be presented to CISO as well. Some queries and concerns from the body were also addressed by Mr Noriga but will be further discussed if a sample database will be tested first hand by the members of the cabinet. If this may push through, CSG will then present it to SACDEV-OSA.

Other Matters/ Announcements Sec Neri presented some audited and unaudited Liquidation Reports from the

Commission on Audit (COA). Some notes and instructions were attached to each report and were distributed to the departments in charge of these LRs. Moreover, it was explained that LRs should be put inside a brown envelope before submission.

Pres Laborte presented a letter from the Kuya Fish Campaign. KFC is asking for help from CSG regarding the need of volunteers. Some Japanese students will be visiting the city and they are asking for 3-5 volunteers to serve as translators to mediate conversations between the locals and the Japanese.

The 1st Le Maste Congress will happen on 16 to 17 August at the LimKetKai Atrium. A special meeting will be called for this.

Pres Laborte presented to the body that starting the next cabinet meeting, at least one national issue should be discussed. He also pointed out that it is a good medium of hearing the stand of the students.

Adjournment Having covered all items for discussion, Sec Meneses led the closing prayer. Pres

Laborte formally adjourned the Eighth Cabinet Meeting at 9:10 PM. The whole duration of the meeting was 1 hour and 25 minutes only.
