Salima interviewed Taisse and her friends: Salima: What did you like best this year at Joliot? -Student A: The trip to England! -Student B: Me too! -Student C: music on Fridays! S: When do you prefer having class: in the morning or in the afternoon? -Student A: I prefer the break in the morning… and the break in the afternoon… -Student C: For me, no class at 8! And a longer lunch break (until 2p.m.) S: What school subject do you prefer? -Student A: Spanish is my favourite class!!! I love Spanish, it’s my life! -Student B: Arts because I love drawing! -Student C: French because it’s the only course I really understand! S: What other activities would you like to do at Joliot? -Student A: I’d like to spend afternoons playing games with all the other students. -Student B: Me too! Playing games in the afternoon -Student C: I’d like to go on more school trips! S: What would you like to change at Joliot? -Students A and B: Nothing! -Student C: No more classes at 7:55!

Neima interviewed Djibril, Faharia and Espoir: Neima: What was your favourite moment at joliot? -D: My favourite moment was when I went to England, definitely! -F: when I went to the Laser Game with the FSE! -E: I loved going to England! … and Nadia interviewed Espoir… Nadia: Welcome to Joliot Times! Today we are going to ask you a few questions… so Espoir, how are you today? -E: I’m fine, thank you, and you? N: I’m fine thanks. What did you like best all these years at Joliot? -E: My favourite years were the 8th and 9th forms. N: When do you prefer having class? -E: I prefer having class in the afternoon because I eat at lunch time so I’m not tired. N: What school subject do you prefer and why? -E: my favourite subjects are Maths and Chemistry because I like numbers and I have very good results! N: What other activities would you like to do at Joliot? -more music! Learning how to play the piano or the violin N: What would you like to change at Joliot? -E: I would change the hours because I’m too tired in the morning… N: Thank you Espoir, good bye now!

D: My name is Keita Cheik Djibril J: How long have you been at Joliot? D: Since my 6ème so I spent 4 years at Joliot J: What club did you join? D: The technology club and the Drama club. I love the Drama club, I joined it in 4ème. Our show will be on Friday 22nd and I’ll play two characters: the puma and the narrator. J: What is your favourite school subject? D: It’s English. J: What are you going to do next year? D: I’d like to join either a European Class or a Drama school J: Have you ever been to an English speaking country? D: Yes, I went to England with Joliot and I enjoyed it very much. I love talking in English! J: What was your favourite moment in England? D: It was when we went to the beach. A: Where would you like to travel to? D: I’d love to go to the U.S.A, espacieally to California. I’d like to see Hollywood!! J: Drama school, Hollywood, California… D: I have a big dream… A: What would you like to do later, when you are a sensible adult (like us!) D: I’d like to be an actor J: Good! EUROPEAN CITIZENSHIP DAY AT SCIENCES PO

JOLIOT, as part of the European School Project, sent 4 pupils form 10th form to attend a European Day at Sciences Po in Reims. About 250 pupils took the road that day from schools all over the Grand Est to

participate in meetings about the future of the European Union. Their propositions?

-Learn many more different European languages, not only English, Spanish and German, and from an earlier age

-Having classes about the other European countries to get to know them better, classes about their culture, traditions, history, etc.

-Enabling teachers from other European countries to come and teach them in order to promote a real European culture
