“Ripley Believe It or Not, If You Don’t Get Your Act Together,

You Are Going to Hell!”you’re hoping to be like the thief on the cross and meet your Savior in just the last minutes of your life? Well thus saith the Lord, “I want you to give careful thought to this once again, “What is your life? A vapor that appears for a lit-tle while then vanish-es away.” [James 4:13-17]. Get your act to-gether or you are going to Hell! Set your house in order, and pray that you are found worthy to escape the tribulation that is coming upon the

What would it take for you to realize that it is time to put your house in order? That it’s time for you to get your act together! Oh, I know,

whole world. Warning after warning in Scrip-ture, telling you that the time is short; have sense enough to discern the signs of the times and see then that you walk cir-cumspectly, not as fools but as wise… [Ephe-sians 5:16]. I want you to know that Hezekiah was forced to reflect on all aspects of his life. He had to wrestle with the short time he had yet to live. He had to wrestle with what would happen after death. You see, death for all of us is just a breath away. And the nearer death is, the clos-er we are to answering to God for all we have said and done.”[2 Corinthi-ans 5:10]. California. She went to school in Rialto during some of her younger years. She is known for dancing at Pomona High and in a couple music videos by Master P and Goodie Mobb. She is also a mother to two sons. She moved to Chicago for six years and while there she won a reality show called “#Thehungriestrapper” produced by Stacey ‘Boss Diamond’ Gill where she walked away with $10,000 that she invested in herself working with a little bit of everyone from Chicago to California. She sacrificed it all in the height of her rap career when she moved back to California when her oldest son was off to college. While back in California, Mer-C continued to pursue her rap and pinup model career while doing shows in and opening acts for DJ Quik and Juvenile, just to name a few. She eventually ended up linking with Pomona Young and his daughter Ree Ree where together they created the Pomona Ladies Movement capturing

the attention of RMM Percy and Snoop Dogg. Both ladies were chosen to go on the “Puff, Puff, Pass Tour 2” along with legends from the Dogg Pound, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Warren G, Too $hort and several others. Mer-C came right off tour totally focused. She created her own clothing line for men and women titled, “No MerC Clothing” and “No MerB Kings Only.” Out of that she formed her own crew of Queens called the “No MerC Models” who were recently featured in “DBG” featuring Snoop Dogg and the “Don’t Fuck with Y’all” video which can be seen on World Star Hip-Hop. Giving back to the community Mer-C also works with a group of young girls she calls ‘Lil Ladies Motivating Little Girls to Stick Together.’ The purpose is to teach little girls to stay little girls for as long as they can. Female emcee Mer-C is WHAT IT DO! When I see an artist on their grind, especially a female, I must say “Salute.” I’ve been watching this talented young lady for a cool minute now. I see how serious she takes her music, image, and brand. A lot of other female emcees can truly take a page from her book. Below is more about this beautiful, fire spittin’ Queen. This Week’s Job Postings. Need a Second Chance? Apply Today!

Before we list the jobs, here is a scripture of encouragement. “Drawing Close to God”: What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you? 2 You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. 3 And

even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure. 4 You adulterers! [a] Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. 5 Do you think the Scriptures have no meaning? They say that God is passionate that the spirit he has placed within us should be faithful

to him. [b] 6 And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”[c] James 4:1-6 NLTNotice: These postings contains Second Chance Employer jobs, jobs for Felons and those who need a second chance. 70 Kilometer Bike Ride Raises Funds for The Salvation Army’s Path to

Prosperity Transitional Living Program SAN BERNARDINO, CA- When talking about San Bernardino, its reputation often precedes it. Words like poverty and crime roll off the tongue too easily. Then came the worst massacre in the United States since 9/11 and the City of San Bernardino was once again in the news. And the news was not good. Ray Anderson, a business coach by trade and Salvation Army advisory board member, knew the negative images of his city were indelibly etched in the minds of people around the world. Adding terrorism to the list didn’t help. He wanted to see San Bernardino celebrated, not mourned

or worse, ignored. On the eve of his 70th birthday, the wheels started turning. “We want to turn a negative image into

something positive and uplifting,” Anderson said. “I’m committed to a personal effort to demonstrate that one person acting in faith

can change the course of a family, a neighborhood and a community. (To continue reading, please visit www.wsnews.com).

Law Office of Zulu Ali Names One of the Best 10 Law Firms in California by AIOLC

Attorney Zulu Ali (center) and his staff

RIVERSIDE, CA- The Law Office of Zulu Ali in Riverside, California has been named one of the 10 Best Law Firms in California for Client Satisfaction in the areas of Criminal Defense, Immigrations, and Personal Injury by the American Institute of Legal Counsel (AIOLC). The annual list honors exceptional performance by California law firms in selected areas. The AIOLC is a third-

party attorney rating organization that publishes a yearly list of the Top 10 Law Firms in each state. Attorneys and firms selected to the “10 Best List” must pass AIOLC’s rigorous selection process, which is based on client and/or peer nominations and AIOLC’s independent evaluation of attorney’s relationships with and reputations among their clients. The law firm was

founded by its owner and principal attorney, Zulu Ali, a Tennessee native, former police officer, and U.S. marine veteran, who was inspired by the work and legacy of civil rights attorneys Thurgood Marshall, Avon Williams, Jr., Charles Hamilton Houston; and other advocates and leaders of the civil rights movement. The mission and philosophy of the firm is to advocate for

changes in the law when the law is unjust. Although the mission and diverse makeup of the law firm subjects it to immense scrutiny, the firm continues to be inspired by its mission to preserve and fulfill the legacy of those leaders and advocates of the past who sacrificed to make a more just society. REDLANDS, CA- Carlotta Poole is a Redlander. She is born, schooled, and lived here most of her life. Following the death of her father, she returned to her childhood home and began to settle into typical Redlands life. Then a fire burned the brush in the open field near the freeway interchange area and across from her home. She then raised awareness of other

(hidden in full sight) issues and needs of the city. She walked through the neighborhood, knocked on doors, and asked neighbors what city issues concerned them. She collected a list of issues, names, and addresses, then notified City Officials of her findings. They responded to the information by visibly dealing with a frequently identified issue and the

city planned with Ms. Poole for a time and place where community members could meet with City Officials, raise questions, and share in seeking solutions. Ms. Poole again walked through the neighborhood, knocked on doors, prepared and distributed notices of the event which was held on Tuesday, July 25 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Redlands Senior Center.

NOTICE TO POTENTIAL BID-DERS: If you are considering bidding on this property lien, you should understand that there are risks involved in bidding at a trustee auction. You will be bidding on a lien, not on the property itself. Placing the highest bid at a trustee auction does not automatically en-title you to free and clear ownership of the property. You should also be aware that the lien being auctioned off may be a junior lien. If you are the highest bidder at the auction, you are or may be responsible for paying off all liens senior to the lien being auctioned off, before you can receive clear title to the property. You are encouraged to investigate the existence, priority, and size of outstanding liens that may exist on this property by contacting the county recorder's office or a title insurance company, either of which may charge you a fee for this information. If you consult either of these resources, you should be aware that the same lender may hold more than one mortgage or deed of trust on the property. NO-TICE TO PROPERTY OWNER: The sale date shown on this notice of sale may be postponed one or more times by the mortgagee, ben-eficiary, trustee, or a court, pursuant to Section 2924g of the California Civil Code. The law requires that information about trustee sale postponements be made available to you and to the public, as a courtesy to those not present at the sale. If you wish to learn whether your sale date has been postponed, and, if applicable, the rescheduled time and date for the sale of this property, you may call (844) 477-7869 or visit this Internet Web site WWW.STOXPOSTING.COM, using the file number assigned to this case 055112-CA. SAN BERNARDINO, CA- Good food and fine entertainment always seem to go well together, especially for San Bernardino Valley College student William Lacey, 26, of Highland. This master of the arts is not quite sure which one will win out in the end — his standout vocals or culinary prowess. Eventually, he would like to combine them at his own restaurant where he can train chefs to prepare Cajun cuisine, and maybe indulge his operatic side every now and again. Lacey is a natural classical aficionado. He has had three years of classical vocal training at SBVC, and credits his instructors for keeping him on track with his career and education.

A private voice class helped Lacey hone his skill, and one day after choir, he sang the national anthem for SBVC Music Department Chair Matie Manning Scully.“She looked at me and said ‘Kiddo, you’ve got a great voice. I would love to work with you.’ It started from there.” Lacey also performs regularly with choreographer Maura Townsend and her P r o j e c t 2 1 D a n c e Company. During Black

History Month, he sang his richly-layered baritone rendition of Paul Robeson’s “Ol’ Man River” as part of Townsend’s “Hope Through the Struggle” event held at San Bernardino Valley College. He said that Ms. Townsend, an adjunct professor at the college, has also been instrumental in giving him a creative venue for his artistic side. Sherri Bryant Performs Live This Saturday

WALNUT, CA- In March, you were introduced you to Gospel Sensation, Sherri Bryant, who had recently released her new single, "You Are Greater." This song took us through Sherri's personal journey from

fear to faith as she faced the possibility of losing her home to foreclosure. After seeing how God brought her through that time in her life, Sherri began writing and singing songs directly to God thanking Him for His incredible grace.

Now that Sherri's album is complete, she would love for you to join her and her friends at a concert celebrating our magnificent God and the release of her new CD, ‘True Worship’. Come with us as we take some time away from our busy lives to sing songs to God that come from deep down in our hearts. The concert will take place Saturday, August 5 at 7:30 p.m. at City Blessing Church located at 18901 Amar Road in Walnut. Tickets are $5 at the door.

Retail and Resource vendors welcomed. Featuring Tamara Ellison, Pastor Roseanna Campos, David Burrus, and Dr. Andrea King. Sessions are from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 16th Street Church located at 1601 W. 16th Street in San Bernardino. A red-carpet affair will be at 7 p.m. prior to the main service. Registration deadline is September 1. Tickets are $40 before August 18 and $55 after August 18. For more information please email [email protected].
