INTRODUCTION
The Athrodax Pre-vacuumed Wound Drainage System ‘PREVAX’ was
introduced in the United Kingdom in the early 1980’s. Athrodax was the first
company to introduce pre-vacuumed disposable wound drainage systems into
the United Kingdom. Previously the majority of wound drainage was carried out
using a glass bottled (non-disposable) system, although some of the accessories,
connecting tubes, drains etc, were disposable.
Today Athrodax continues to be a major supplier of disposable pre-vacuumed
systems, offering a comprehensive range of ‘Latex Free’ products in a variety of
types and sizes available at competitive prices.
Our disposable pre-vacuumed systems are regularly stocked by all NHS
