WelcomeWe are very glad to have you worshiping our gracious God with us today.

Flowers The sanctuary flowers are given today to the glory of God

in memory of ruling elder James Morris Clark.

To Our Guests,We especially welcome you today! More information about our church is available on our website at firstpresaugusta.org.

Spiritual CareIf you would like to speak to someone about what it means to know Jesus Christ or you have any spiritual need or question, please use one of the prayer cards in the pew rack to contact one of our pastors. Our church elders are also available to speak with you. An elder will be standing next to the pastor following the service.

Children’s Check-inWe are committed to the highest level of protection possible for the children placed in our care on Sundays and at all church events. For this reason, we require parents of newborns through fifth grade children to check in their children before they go to the nursery, Sunday School, Catechism, Children’s Church or any other children’s activity. Several kiosks are available in the Welcome Center. The process is quick and easy, and volunteers are available if you need assistance checking in.

Children’s WorshipWe offer a specially designed program for children in pre-k through fourth grade during the morning services. A leader will escort children from the sanctuary to their classrooms during the hymn of preparation. Parents are welcome to accompany them to observe where to pick them up after the service. Parents of children in pre-k through second grade are asked to pick up their children following Sunday School or the 11 a.m. worship service.

Nursery Nurseries are provided for infants and toddlers during the worship services and Sunday School. We also provide a Mother/Infant Room located beside Nursery 1 which is equipped with live video feed of the worship services. Ushers are available to direct you.

Additional Seating Additional seating for morning and evening worship services is available each week in St. Andrew’s Hall.

As stewards of God’s resources, we try not to print an excess of bulletins. We invite you to bring this bulletin with you when you return for the evening service.

†The Call to Worship .........................................................................Revelation 15:3-4Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the ages. Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy.

All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.

The Lord be with you.And with your spirit.Let us worship God!

Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;naught be all else to me, save that thou art—thou my best thought by day or by night, waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise, thou mine inheritance, now and always:thou and thou only, first in my heart,High King of heaven, my treasure thou art.

High King of heaven, my victory won,may I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heav’n’s Sun!Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, still be my vision, O Ruler of all.

The Response—A Little Child the Savior Came ....................................................Quebec

(Sung by all)A little child the Savior came,The Mighty God was still his Name; And angels worshipped as he lay,The seeming infant of a day.

He who a little child beganThe life divine to show to man,Proclaims from heaven the message free,"Let little children come to me."

O give thy angels charge, good Lord,Them safely in thy way to guard;Thy blessing on their lives command,And write their names upon thy hand.

O Thou who by an infant’s tongueDost hear thy perfect glory sung,May these, with all the heavenly host,Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

†The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

The Assurance of Pardoning Grace .............................................. Colossians 1:13-14For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

The Corporate Confession of Sin

O God, it is your chief plan for my life that Christ be more glorious and dear to me than anything or anyone. Yet I know that I love him too little and live for him poorly. Help me to worship him in all that I do and to seek him every day. Most merciful Father, renew my heart that I might turn from my love of this fading world and find myself more firmly rooted in the love of my Savior. May your gospel mercies be my first delight and the beauty of your Son my daily song! Hear my prayer gracious Lord, that I will desire nothing but you forever more. Amen.

The Offertory—My Worth Is Not in What I Own .....................Getty and Kendrick

Words and Music: Keith Getty, Kristyn Getty and Graham Kendrick | ©2014 Getty Music Publishing and Make Way Music

My worth is not in what I ownNot in the strength of flesh and boneBut in the costly wounds of loveAt the cross

My worth is not in skill or nameIn win or lose, in pride or shameBut in the blood of Christ that flowed At the cross

I rejoice in my RedeemerGreatest TreasureWellspring of my soulI will trust in him, no otherMy soul is satisfied in him alone

As summer flowers we fade and dieFame, youth and beauty hurry byBut life eternal calls to us At the cross

I will not boast in wealth or mightOr human wisdom’s fleeting lightBut I will boast in knowing ChristAt the cross

*†The PeaceThe peace of the Lord be with you always.

Offertory—Little David, Play on Your Harp ...................................................... Bailey

African American Spiritual | Arr. Lynn Shaw Bailey | ©2009 Choristers Guild

Little David, play on your harp, hallelu, hallelu.Little David, play on your harp, hallelu. Now David watched his father’s sheep And play his harp to help them sleep. He played his harp and sang with joy, God’s faithful child and shepherd boy. Goliath dared him to a fight While every soldier shook with fright. That giant stood so big and tall ‘Til David’s sling-shot made him fall. Though David grew to be a king, He loved to play his harp and sing.He played his harp and sang for joy, God’s faithful child and shepherd boy.
