After school supervision Parents are reminded that supervision at school concludes at 3:55pm. All children should have been collected from school by this time or departed by their regular means (bus, bike, walking etc.). Students attending dance groups in our school hall should NOT be remaining at school and waiting for dance to start at 5pm. It is not appropriate for primary aged students to be left unsupervised for this period of time. Children who are waiting after school are reminded that they are still under the direction of teaching staff and should remain in the areas supervised by teachers. SRC NewsClean Up Australia Day 2014

Weather permitting, students will participate in this very worthwhile event on Friday.Students will clean up within and around the school grounds, as well as venturing out to the soccer fields. All students will need to wear a hat, covered shoes and have gloves (one will be provided if not) and a bag to collect rubbish.Staff will be on the look out for those students who put in a really big effort, they will receive a certificate to mark this event.

Term One Entertainment NightThis week the students voted on the short list of movie choices for our first Entertainment Night of 2014.Voting has been counted and the most popular choice was ‘Epic’, you could come along as a whacky botanist or wear green to hide out in the forest.

This term we are trialling a new night of the week for Entertainment Night, so put aside the evening of FRIDAY 7 March from 5.30 pm to 8.00 pm so you can join us.

The entry cost remains the same; $5 per student or $12 per family, this includes a sausage sizzle, drink and a treat. Please send along a plate of ‘yummies’ for us to sell. Sending spending money with some change is always helpful.

We look forward to having a great night. Tracey TebbuttSRC Patron

Year 3/4T NewsOn behalf of the class I would like to extend our thanks to the Turner family who have

supplied us with the base boards for our next craft project. It is wonderful to have the support of David and Marites, as the timber was specially cut and milled for us. Wow!

National Ride 2 School DayWednesday 19 March is National Ride 2 School Day for 2014 and excitement is mounting as we get closer to the day.Children will be discussing safety procedures about riding to school on the weeks leading up to the day. On the day we will celebrate and share our experiences, we will also discuss any issues that occurred as they travelled to school. The children will also be participating in a colouring/design competition. Data will be collected and sent to the organiser of National Ride to School Day for nationwide collation.

A few reminders for the day include:• School gates will be open as normal to allow parents and students to walk, ride or skate.• Riders/skaters to wear helmets.• To ensure security of the bikes and scooters, students are to place their bikes on the bike rack.• Parents can assist by riding or walking to school with their children to ensure safety procedures are followed.• Students who travel by bus can also get into the spirit by ensuring that they follow the safety procedures needed for safe bus travel.
