Technically it isn’t a mountain, but there as a variety of different level paths and hiking, and climbing challenges. Not really stroller friendly. But a great park for groups of varying skill levels.
There is a variety of terrain. Rock, mud, forest paths…bring your hiking boots. There are some wet spots, but they are avoidable. There are steep and flat trails depending on your ability and drive.
Although there are rock faces you can climb this picture shows a typical trail.
There are some beautiful, easy walk paths throughout Wilson Mountain don’t let the “Mountain” part scare you
The area is small enough that if you let your kids choose the path and you get lost….it’s not a big deal
Pretty easy navigation, these climbers are 9 and 11 respectivelyand have been hiking for a few years
Sometimes you will come across someone else's Geocache boxBe respectful and leave it for the others…..better yet leave some thing in the box
This is a cool rock decline that Is a
great opportunity for parents
and children hike together.
I suggest hand holding for thefirst few tries.
