Widener’s volleyball and basketball teams play their home games at Schwartz Center. The fa-cility sports a weight room, swimming pool and classrooms for our student-athletes. The gym in 2007 had extensive renovations with new bleachers and new scoreboards installed. Reno-vations continued in 2008 with the gym floor resurfaced and the addition of championship banners. Also in Schwartz Center, the women’s locker rooms were remodeled in 2007 and the pool received a massive overhaul in 2008. A new wellness center was constructed adjacent to Schwartz Center and opened in 2006. Our athletics administration has its offices in the third-floor suite.
