God makes an unconditional promise A Suzerainty Covenant It is also a b'rith olam, which is Hebrew for an everlasting covenant. ! God gives a sign of His covenantal promise The word God uses to describe His symbol is the word “bow” in Hebrew it’s qesheth. When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds. I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh. And the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. Genesis 9.15

Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father naked and told his two brothers outside. But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father’s naked body. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father naked. Genesis 9.22-23 ! What just happened?
