Exhibitions 2015 Until Sun 19 AprilHistoric Photography Uncovered This exhibition traces the evolution of photography, as a scientific process, a social record and a medium for artistic expression. Funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
Sat 18 April – Sun 4 OctoberFragile? A major exhibition showcasing the beauty and diversity of contemporary ceramics, with works from the Museum’s collection shown alongside exciting installations commissioned
from Phoebe Cummings, Clare Twomey and Keith Harrison. Test out some of the works by walking over them or playing your vinyl collection!

Welsh-born Chalkie Davies worked as Staff Photographer at the New Musical Express (NME) from 1975-1979. He photographed musicians like Elvis Costello, David Bowie, Paul McCartney and Debbie Harry. Also bands such as The Specials, Thin Lizzy and The Who.
This exhibition looks back at this much revered and influential musical era, including many works that have never been seen before.
