New Managing Partner Anne Kennedy has taken on the role of the firm’s new Managing Partner as of January 1, 2011. New Director of Knowledge Management Helen Ferrigan has joined the firm in the key role of Director of Knowledge Management. Helen previously practiced law at a leading national law firm with a focus on corporate taxation and dispute resolution. As a result of Helen’s practical legal experience, she is very skilled at creating detailed research memoranda, providing general research advice and preparing legal opinions and written advocacy. Helen is responsible for developing strategies and initiatives that facilitate knowledge capture, organization and sharing, such as the firm’s precedent system and research bank for more cost-effective and efficient delivery of client services. New Commercial Litigation Lawyer Marc Whiteley has become a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice. Marc joined the firm after serving a year in a judicial clerkship with the office of the Chief Justice at the Ontario Superior Court. New Labour & Employment Lawyer Jeffrey Percival has become a member of the firm’s Labour & Employment Practice, joining us from the Toronto offices of a national law firm. Jeffrey’s experience includes advising management on diverse labour and employment matters such as collective bargaining, grievance adjudication, WSIB claims, and complaints under the Ontario Human Rights Code. In addition to an extensive history with a variety of commercial and civil litigation matters, Jeffrey is fluently bilingual in English and French and holds a Master of Laws degree in Securities Law. New Wills, Estates & Trusts Lawyer Lisa Sticht-Maksymec has joined the Firm’s Wills, Estates & Trusts Practice. No stranger to the Region of Peel, Lisa practiced in the areas of Estate Administration and Estate Litigation at another major Peel firm prior to joining Pallett Valo LLP.
