Friends of St Faith’s ‘Evening of Music’ On Page 3 of these notes is a poster advertising the musical evening being
run by the Friends of St Faith’s on Saturday 26th October at 7.00pm.
If you would like a ticket please buy it after this morning’s service, or
after the next two Parish Eucharists in October, or from the Church
Office. It looks to be a good evening of music performed by local people.
LIVE NATIVITY
How do you fancy taking part as a Shepherd, an Angel or a King in the first Live Nativity at St
Faith’s? It’s taking place on Sunday 8th December. Interested? Then please sign the list at the back of the Church on the Welcome Table. For further details please contact Mary Kells (01329 556 151 or [email protected]).
Live Nativity Planning Team The next team meeting will take place in church on Wednesday 30th
October at 3.00pm. Further details from Mary Kells.
Grounds Tidy-Up - rescheduled to next
Saturday, 19th October We took the decision to cancel the grounds tidy-up
planned for yesterday, as the weather forecast was bad.
We have rescheduled for 9.30am next Saturday, 19th
October. If you are able to give some of your time it
would be greatly appreciated. Please bring your own tools, and
refreshments are bound to be provided.

Sermons Printed copies of Paul’s sermons on God,
Government, Politics and Brexit (from 15th
September) and “Does your bank account
show you are a Christian?” (from 22nd September) are available on the
Welcome Table in the church. They are also available to listen to on the
church website. If you haven’t read, or heard these sermons, please try to
do so.
In “Does your bank
account show you are a
Christian?”, Paul highlighted
that at present 50% of the
St Faith’s community
donate 90% of the giving to
the church. This means
that the other 50% only
give 10% of the giving.
We would like to even this up! Please do pray about your response. Stand-
ing Order and Parish Giving Scheme forms are available in the south porch.
Traidcraft Stall - Advent calendars Today, Advent calendars are now for sale on the
stall in the Bulson Hall. Please do not leave it too late to buy, or order. You can order on the sheet
on the welcome table.
Thank you, Cecily Parkinson
Our Vision and Values Today Paul will be speaking about the vision and values of our church. You’ll
find enclosed in your Weekly Notes a sheet for you to put up somewhere in
your house, to remind you of our vision - and of the values we want to have
as a church. Please put this sheet up, and pray that we can be the church
God calls us to be.
Our vision is to be a welcoming innovative Christian community
of all ages and all stages of faith, nurturing spiritual growth,
and representing God’s living presence in our town.

Do invite your friends to come to our friendly and fun Bangers & Bonfire
event!
Also, would you like to help?
Do you have a fire pit and some fuel you could bring along, and supervise?
Would you like to make some seasonal cakes?
Would you like to be part of the refreshments team?
Could you supervise some games – apple bobbing, table football etc.?
If you are interested in helping, please contact Rebecca Parrett or Becca
Chamberlain (023 9200 6184).
Harvest Flowers Thank you to everyone who
contributed towards the
beautiful decorations last
Sunday. To produce such a
good display takes a lot
of hard work, and planning, for which we are
truly grateful. Once again, thank you!

who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen

Dear Father in heaven, we come before you as your children, longing to
be assured through your Spirit that we are and may remain your children.
We long to live to the glory of your name under the shelter and guidance of
the Lord Jesus in expectation of the great day which shall fulfil all promises
made to us. Strengthen us, especially in dark and troubled days. Help us
when danger threatens and when evil tries to make headway among us.
Deliver us from all evil, for yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory for
ever and ever. Amen.
--------------------
God of Mission, who alone brings growth to your Church,
Send your Holy Spirit to give vision to our planning,
Wisdom to our actions, and power to our witness.
