Memorials at Our Lady of Solace

One of the finest ways to remember family, loved ones and friends (whether living or deceased), or encourage prayer for a special intention as well as provide support to our parish is through a memorial. Memorials are daily, monthly, or perpetual.

DAILY MEMORIALS: Mass Intentions You can schedule daily Mass intentions during office hours in the rectory during the week, and in the church’s Shrine Shop on Sundays following each Mass. The suggested donation for each weekday Mass intention is $15.00, and for each Sunday Mass intention is $25.00. Each intention is also published in our parish bulletin.

MONTHLY MEMORIALS Our monthly memorials are recorded in both the parish Mass Book as well as the church bulletin during the month for which they are requested. The suggested donation for each monthly memorial is as follows:

PERPETUAL MEMORIALS THE TREE OF LIFE.

The Our Lady of Solace Tree of Life is a perpetual memorial that provides a sponsored memorial that also in turn supports the recent renovation and restoration of the church sanctuary (new altar, new pulpit, new floor; restoration of the tabernacle, Holy Trinity Apse, marble altar rail). The cost of each brass leaf on the is $250 and is engraved with the requested intention. Payments may be made in one lump sum or through an installment plan.

PEW SPONSORSHIP

Our pew sponsorship program provides permanent memorials to be affixed to the pews in our church while sponsoring the rebuilding and replacement of the church floor. Pew memorials are still available; the cost is $500 for each short pew against the walls, and $1,000 for each long pew down the center aisle. Payments may be made in one lump sum or through an installment plan.

THE HOLY FAMILY MEMORIAL GARDEN

This most generous and beautiful devotional gift that reminds us of the beauty and necessity of family life is situated at the north side of the church in the arcade and is seated in a garden plaza consisting of tablets of polished marble and memorial bricks. Anyone wishing to memorialize a loved one (or loved ones) can request the engraving of one or more of the stones. The suggested donations are $1,000 for each large polished marble and granite tablet and $200 for each red brick. To obtain a memorial, please contact the rectory during regular office hours.
