VBS GOES GALACTIC IN INVESTIGATING CREATION STORY
Prof. Ademola S. Tayo welcoming the children to the 2017 Vacation Bible School. With him were: (l –r) Pastor Theodre
Dickson, Pastor Opeyemi Oladosu, Mrs. Ruth Amanze, Dr. Victoria Aja, Prof. Sunday Owolabi, Prof. Grace Tayo and Elder
Israel Aja. Bottom: Some of the participants eagerly wait for the programme to begin.
T his year’s Vacation Bible School pro-
gramme built more than friendships.
It inspired a search into the galaxies to
discover Biblical truth on the creation sto-
ry.
It also provided more than 250 children
ample opportunity for spiritual growth, so-
cial interaction, peer bonding as well as
arts & crafts.
The event themed, Investigation Station:
Galactic Search, flagged off with a guard
of honour and over 60 non-
denominational friends in attendance.
Also present were the President/Vice
Chancellor, Prof. Ademola S. Tayo and
spouse, Prof. Grace Tayo, the Senior Vice
President Management Services, Prof.
Sunday Owolabi and BUHS Principal, Dr.
Bola Adebawojo.
Dr. Adebawojo was represented by the
BUHS Pastor, Pastor Oladosun.
According to the President, the pro-
gramme enjoys support because “our chil-
dren are the hope for the future of our
church.”
Lending her voice, Prof. Grace Tayo said
just as Jesus searched the
scriptures, the VBS is ex-
pected to enhance partici-
pants’ understanding of God’s
word through investigating
Biblical truths and nature.
“We hope that our children
and their non-Adventist friends
will learn more about God’s
love,” she said.
Pastor Oladosun and Coordi-
nating Pastor, Promisen Nwaka
encouraged the children to
build friendships and expand
their knowledge of God’s word.
According to the organizers, all
too often, fiction is sold as real-
ity as cartoons and evolution
theories become ready tools
for disseminating falsehood.
