 About the fonts...

Californian FBThe font is originally designed as California Oldstyle, by Fredric W.Goudy in 1938, for University of California Press. In 1999, assistedby Richard Lipton & Jill Pichotta, David Berlow designed the blackand the text and display series.

As the alphabet is about musical instrument, I expect the font is

consistent with the elegance of music, and preferrable looksclassic(though many of the instruments are seldom used in classicmusic). Besides, I thinks the font should be a bit solemn and clearto balance the irregular shape as well as colors of the images of instruments. Therefore I picked this typeface.

Edwardian Script ITC The Edwardian Script font family is designed by the typographerEdward Benguiat in 1994.

In choosing typeface for the title of the alphabet, I felt theCalifornian FB appeared to be a bit boring, and something more

flameboyant might be better. But still, the font should be classicand elegant. Edwardian Script seemed to be a proper choice, andsince I just use it for the title, its poor readability may not be aserious problem.
