*Before I start… I am in no way a writer and I don’t even think I can write this well but Taylor wants me to write it or else I don’t get story updates. Ill update daily (maybe) and if I don’t well get over it so yeah onward with the story and let’s see how horrible this is*

Chapter 1: Pyro’s POV

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP… I smacked my alarm and pulled myself up. I took a quick shower and pulled on some clothes before heading downstairs for breakfast. “Good Morning Mom, Morning Dad,” I said. “Good morning son,” they beamed. Why are you guys so happy?” I said as I walked over to the fridge and pulled a juice out of it. “Because your father got a promotion!!” “Oh that’s cool,” I said even though my parents could probably see the clear disappointment on my face. I actually didn’t think it was cool. I hated my dad’s job, he was never home. “So do your hours change?” I asked. “Just a little bit, I’ll be home for dinner daily now.” The thought of that made me happy. My dad is 6’1” with blue eyes, low cut black hair and caramel colored skin. My mom seemed to be the opposite. She is 5’3” with chocolate colored skin, long black hair with brown highlights and sea green eyes. Every time I look at her eyes I can almost smell the ocean water.. By the way, my name is Pyro. I’m 16 years old and a sophomore in high school. I’m 5”7 , 135 pounds and have a kind of an athletic build. I’m about the same color as my mom and have blue eyes and short black hair like my dad. I gave my German Shepard Macy a few belly rubs before grabbing a muffin, my backpack, my keys and heading towards the door. “Wait,” my mom said. “Don’t leave your brother.” I rolled my eyes. “Do I really have to take him?” “Yes now wait for him.” “STEVE YOU HAVE 3 MINUTES TO BE IN THE CAR BEFORE I PULL OFF SO HURRY UP!” I yelled up the staircase before walking to my car.**************************** TIME SKIPS 2 MINS*******************************

He’s lucky he showed up because I was getting annoyed. I was texting as my brother Steve got in the car. He was such an innocent person but he didn’t look like it. Steve is 10. He looks like the boy, short and vampire version of my mother with his green eyes. I’m not going to say I hate my brother but his presence makes me want to dump him in a river. “What took you so long? I asked. “I was obviously getting ready.” I ignored the attitude in his voice and started the car. We rode in silence. After what seemed like an eternity of awkwardness we arrived at his school. “Alright, were here,” I said. “Aren’t you going to tell me to have a good day like mom does?” “Have a good day, get out,” I said as I pushed him out. “I’m telling mom!” He yelled at me. “Cool story bro, tell it again” He glared at me with his green eyes before walking away. Feeling accomplished I drove away with a smirk on my face.

Chapter 2: Lup

School. Not exactly my favorite place. The place was dirty, the buildings were old and a lot of the people were jerks but there was only one more week left until I was free for summer. I loved the last week of school so I couldn’t help but smile as I pulled into the parking lot. I got out of my car and grabbed my backpack from the backseat before heading well… further in. My school is an outside campus, in case you didn’t catch on. I headed to building twelve where I found my friends. “Hey Jamiehh, Taylor, Rachael, Arleehhh” I said. “Hey Pyro,” they said simultaneously. My friends and I have nicknames for each other. These are the only names we use. That is why a lot of people don’t want to be friends with us. I went by Pyro and nothing else. I got my friends, teachers and even family to play along. In a way I felt popular because everybody knew who I was and knew to avoid me. I’m not a loser though. I have more friends than just these four; I actually sit at a lunch table with about 10 of my closest friends. I guess we were considered the weird group, but we didn’t care; weird is the new normal, being normal was boring. “Hey Pyro, did you do Ms. Yam’s homework?” Taylor asked. “Yup,” I replied. “Can I see it?” he said smiling with a hopeful stare. Typical Taylor; He was always the type to not get his work done, well in science anyway. I gave it to him before engaging in a conversation over The Hunger Games. “Are you guys team Peeta, or team Gale?” Rachael asked. “TEAM PEETA!” Jamiehh exclaimed. “I haven’t read it,” Arleehhh stated. Rachael stared at Taylor and me expecting us to answer. “Team Katniss obviously,” I said. Taylor looks up from the homework paper and said, “Team Effie of course.” We all stared at him. It was a questionable answer, but I decided to ignore it. The first bell rung warning us that we had ten minutes to get the class. That’s when we each gave quick “goodbyes” and “laters” before heading to our first periods. First period went by, second went by, and third went by until it was time for communications class where I was reunited with my best friends. We said our hellos and engaged in a casual conversation that was… special to say the least. When the bell rung we all took our seats as our teacher came in and greeted us. Our teacher used to be a reporter for the local news and she decided to give it up and teach English/communications to us. “Hey guys, pull out your laptops, go to SchoolSpace and download the document for your final news stories.” she said. Groans were so loud (including mine, excluding Jamie’s) that they were probably heard across campus. “Lupppppp,” Mrs. Martin said causing us all to laugh. “These aren’t going in the newspaper but I just want to make sure I taught you guys well before you leave me,” she said still smiling at her joke. More school goes by, lunch, blah blah blah and then there is seventh period. Let’s just say my brain is dead for the summer.

Chapter 3: IDONTKNOWWHATONAMEIT

After Taylor scared me for life and me equally doing the same, I hopped in my car. When I got home there was a light blue 2006 Mustang GT that I didn’t recognize in my spot in the driveway. I stared at the car as i unlocked the front door. “Hey, whose car is that?” I said as I walked in still looking in the direction of the car. I turned around and saw my sister standing in the middle of the living room as if waiting for me. She ran up to me and smothered me with a hug “Hey Pyro I missed my little brother,”“Hey Alicia, home for the summer?”“Of course, when do you get out?”“This Friday, where’s mom and pest?“Making dinner in the kitchen, and Steve is in the backyard with Macy”“So when did you get a Mustang GT?”“I used a bit of scholarship money,” she admitted“Dad won’t be happy about that and mom won’t be happy that you got a Mustang,”“I know but they can’t control me”My mom LOVED Mustang’s, I believe that she would trade one of us for a Mustang. My dad on the other hand was really obsessed with grades and making sure we were doing well in school. My sister was the smartest one out of all of us and got straight A’s. She got a full ride scholarship to Harvard University. I didn’t think you could access all of your money like that. I walked into the kitchen and my mom was furiously chopping celery. I knew at that moment that she was mad over the Mustang“H- Hey mom,” I said hesitantly“HOW COULD SHE GET A MUSTANG AND NOT THINK ABOUT ME, SHE KNOWS I LOVE THEM!” she snapped while still holding the knifeI stared at her wide eyed before saying, “Put…. The knife…. Down.”It was an awkward dinner that night which consisted of steak, mashed potatoes, and broccoli, but at least my dad was there and I knew that Steve was happy about it too. “So how was school today?” my dad asked breaking the awkward silence. “Mrs. Martin told us to lup,” I replied trying to keep a straight face. “Okay, whatever that means.” “Mr. Johnson told us about how 6th

grade might be scary,” Steve said. “Don’t worry it won’t be scary, Pyro can help you get through it,” I hope he’s kidding.**************************SKIP POINTLESS CONVERSATION********************The rest of the school week was pretty fun. I was ready to say goodbye to my sophomore year for good. When the 7th period bell rung, I said goodbye to all of my friends before going to my car and heading to my brother’s school. I don’t understand why he decided to stay back on the last day of school, but I decided to go with it. Lately, I’ve decided that I’m going to attempt to as nice to my brother as possible. I decided this on my own… who am I kidding my dad told me I had to at least try or he’s taking my car keys. I pulled up in the parking lot and he was there waiting. He put his stuff in the back and climbed in the back seat. “So how was school today?” I asked forcing a smile. “It was pretty fun,” he replied seeming interested “We had a party and I have a bag of candy!” “Ok I can tell you’ve had too much sugar, so just pass the bag to your big brother that picked you up on the last day of school,” “Yeah I’m going to pass you the bag because you’re so much better handling sugar,” he replied smirking. I laughed because he actually had a point. I guess Steve wasn’t so bad after all. When we got home I grabbed a snack and headed up to my room. I walked in and Macy was taking a nap on my bed. “Lazy dog,” I

muttered. I walked over to my desk and found an envelope with information on it. I picked it up but something was obviously in it so I opened it and found a letter inside. The letter said:

Dear Pyro,I have a proposition for you. If you choose to accept it I have an opportunity that

I’m sure you can’t refuse. If you choose to see what the opportunity is, come to 4569

Warehouse St. at 10:00 AM tomorrow morning. I hope to see you there.

Well that was awkward and no one else was in the room. Tons of questions went through my brain. Who is that? What does he/she want with me? How did he/she know where I lived? How did he/she know my nickname? Should I go? I stood there in that spot for at least 30 minutes trying to make sense of what the letter was saying before deciding I should go. If this person got all of that information then I shouldn’t ignore them.

Chapter 4: Weird Place

I woke up at 9:05. I got up and hopped into the ceramic shower and turned it on. I quickly washed my hair and body before hopping out and drying myself off. I pulled on some boxers and t-shirt. I pulled on some khaki shorts and a Puerto Rico shirt that my aunt got me on her last trip there. I brushed my hair and teeth and put on deodorant. I headed downstairs feeling refreshed and I decided to make myself some breakfast. My parents were already down there and my mom was starting breakfast so I decided to help. “What are you doing up so early?” she asked. I decided not to tell her and lied, telling her that Taylor, Jacob, and I were going to the park. “Oh,” She replied. It was a bad lie but I couldn’t tell her that I was going to meet a random stranger. My mom and I made bacon, eggs, and pancakes. My parents and I ate in silence. After I finished I hopped up and headed to my car, saying goodbye to my parents as I walked out. I put the address in the GPS. About 15 minutes later I pulled into the parking lot of the abandoned warehouse. I walked to the front door but it was locked so I knocked on it. Knock Knock Knock… No answer… Knock Knock Knock… someone looked through the peephole. “May I help you?” The mysterious man asked. “Well I have this letter,” I started. Before I finished he opened the door and pulled me inside. He led me down a medieval looking hallway with torches on the wall. We walked for what seemed forever. I was nervous to be with this mysterious man in this mysterious hallway in the mysterious building. We stopped in front of a door marked Command. He scanned a card and the door opened. He motioned for me to go first. I went past him staring. Inside there was a big control room with tons of gadgets and electronics. Sitting at a table off to the side was a tall man, a petite woman, a brown haired teenage boy and a small, brown haired teenage girl with a Perry the platypus shirt. “Ah, thank you Jerald, now go wait for the others,” The man at the table instructed. Jerald nodded before Leaving, closing the door behind him. “Please sit,” He instructed staring at me. I did as I was told. Over the course of twenty minutes a blonde haired girl showed up and a slightly younger girl with a Darth Vader T-shirt came in, looking just as confused as I was when Jerald brought me in and left me behind.

The man instructed the two to sit down and stood up as if he were starting a presentation. “Welcome to Supapowa Brah Inc. My name is Jeffrey and this is my assistant Tasha. I invited you all here today because I believe I can make your dreams come true,” Jeffrey said. We all stared at him in disbelief. I decided to finally speak up. “Umm Jeffrey, unless you can make me the CEO of Apple I don’t think you can make my dreams come true,” I replied. “Before I explain this to you all I want you all to introduce yourselves to each other,” He said. Was he kidding? So he claims he can make our dreams come true and then he treats us like Kindergarteners. The tall brown haired guy stood up first. “Hi, my name is Killua,” Killua stated staring at us like we were supposed to already know that. The next one to stand up was the blonde girl. “My name is Raech and just because I’m blonde doesn’t mean I’m stupid,” she said. “Ok, well my name is Melena and I like Star Wars,” She said. I was the next to stand. “My name is Pyro,” I said quickly sitting down. The last one left was the small teenager with the Perry shirt. She stood up quickly and said “I’m Jade.” I could tell that she was an introvert and this many strangers was making her uncomfortable. “All right now that you are all acquainted, I’ll explain to you why you are all here,” he stated. “Like I said before you are here because I want to make your dreams come true. And by dreams, I’m referring to your dreams of being superheroes.” We all stared at him. I hadn’t wanted to be a superhero since I was seven years old. “Those feelings left when I left elementary school,” Killua spoke up. We all nodded in agreement “I understand that, but the feelings are still there. I mean come on, who doesn’t want to save the world? Just hear me out. I believe you five have the most potential to be superheroes, based on your personalities you guys would make a great team,” Jeffrey explained. “How do you know so much about us?” I asked. “I’ve been following your lives for years,” He admitted “I’m officially creeped out!” Raech exclaimed. “From the time you guys were born I was gathering information. I discovered you one day because one day I went to daycare to pick up my daughter. I noticed you five were the only ones left and you were all playing in the corner. You guys just seemed like… the material and now you’re old enough to take this chance,” We all stared at him. Stalker alert was going through my head. “We must have been really young because I don’t remember them or you,” Melena said. She had a hint of mystery in her voice. “Just give it a chance,” Jeffrey was begging more than insisting. We all thought about it for a minute. We finally decided that we would try especially since Jeffrey seemed to be really depending on our answer. “Alright,” He said no longer being able to hide the ecstatic look on his face. “Now follow me to the room where we will choose your abilities. We followed him back into the medieval hallway to a door marked Initiation. When we got inside there was a chamber and a board listing all the possibilities. “Okay so each of you choose an element and ability,” Jeffrey said. “Pyro you’re first, then Killua, Raech, Jade, and then Melena.” This was a hard decision but I chose the obvious answer. “My element is obviously fire and my ability is mind reading,” I said without thinking at all. Just the same Killua said, “I chose electricity and would love time control.” Jeffrey nodded as if he expected us to say that. “My element is wind and my ability should be transfiguration,” Raech said. “Ooo good one,” Jeffrey said. “I WANNA BE PERRY THE PLATYPUS!” Jade yelled before hiding her face in her hands. We all stared at her wide eyed for a second, but finally Jeffrey said, “We can handle that.” “I want the force and the ability of advanced sword play,” Melena said. “We can’t you the force but can give you the ability of physics which means you can control things and use force fields,” Jeffrey said. “Close enough,” She replied. “Alright each of you stand in one of the five chambers,” Jeffrey instructed. I got into the middle chamber. I was pretty scared and confused. I had to come to the realization that the next time I went home, if I ever did, I would have super powers.

Chapter 5: New Beginnings

I saw Jeffrey type a few things in the computer before he warned us that he was starting his machine. “5…4…3…2…1,” Jeffrey counted down. I felt like I was floating and then I suddenly felt pain course through my body. I felt as if I was being burned with the fire that he was gifting to me and that was probably what was happening. What felt like forever was actually about 30 seconds of this and then suddenly I dropped. Jeffrey instructed us to come back out of the machine. When I finally stood, my body felt like rubber but I somehow made my way outside of the chamber and back to the control room. “Alright maybe you guys should get comfortable with your powers,” Jeffrey said. “When y’all get comfortable enough, you guys can go home.” “Wait, go home?” Raech asked. “Yes, you guys need your strength back so we’ll begin training tomorrow at the same time,” Jeffrey said. We all stood there for a minute trying to figure out how we could use our powers. After all of us starting waving our hands around with no success, Jeffrey finally said, “Focus, just take a minute and breathe before trying again.” I stood there for a moment and took a deep breath. Then, I placed my hands together and separated them creating a small fireball. I couldn’t believe that I could create fire with my hands. As I looked up to see how my new team was reacting, I couldn’t help but notice the different appearances. Raech’s eyes went from a hazel color to a stormy gray color and her hair looked like a lighter white blond. Killua’s changed from a light blue to a dark blue color. Jade and Melena didn’t change much. Actually, Jade didn’t change at all. I couldn’t help but wonder if I changed at all, then Killua asked, “Aw man why can’t I have Pyro’s eyes?” I then learned that my eyes changed to a fiery red color. “That’s so cool, but what am I going to tell my parents?” I asked. “You’ll think of something, wear these sunglasses until you figure it out,” Jeffrey said handing me a pair of dark sunglasses. We all left within five minutes; as soon as I got home I stayed in my room until it was dinner time.******************************THE NEXT MORNING***************************I got there at 9:55 just because I was curious to see what was in store for us today. I had spent the whole day and night working on my power and I thought that I improved for a beginner. When I got there I was welcomed by Jerald before being escorted to a door marked Training. When I walked in, it was just Killua and I. “Hi,” He said. “Hi” I say, unsure if I could trust him yet. Noticing my expression he asked, “What you don’t trust me.” “No, that’s not it, it’s just I guess I’m shy around new people,” “Oh, well I learned a lot last night after playing with my powers,” “Alright that’s tremendous I hope everyone else learned something too!” says Jeffrey, barging in n followed by the 3 others. “Okay, now that everyone is here, tell me what you guys have improved on,” Jeffrey said. “I can make small force fields and my telekinesis has improved,” Melena stated. “I CAN PULL OUT A JET PACK!” Jade screeched. We again stared at her with wide eyes. “I can move things with wind, so far I can change into my cat Phillip and I’ve been working on a tornado,” “Going for big things I see,” He said with a smile “Killua?” “I can shock people whenever I want to now and I was trying to create a storm last night. Pyro?” “I can make medium sized fireballs, I can read minds, and I can even invade people’s dreams,” I said shuddering at my brother’s dream last night. “Alright you guys have improved substantially and at the end of the next two weeks of training, you’ll be perfectly ready for your first mission,” Jeffrey said. “Now let me introduce you to your trainers over the next two weeks.” Four individuals walked in, one guy and 3 women. The first one was introduced to us as Bob (Summmmmahhhhhhhhhhhhh :D) but Bob was a girl so we were confused. Bob was a short girl

with medium length blonde hair similar to Raech’s. The next one was Zeek; he was just as short as Bob if not shorter. I couldn’t help but notice how she and Zeek were staring at each other. “Do I feel some love in the air,” I asked nudging her and smiling. She just glared at me. “Alright then.” The next person was introduced to us as Marie. What is up with these trainers being short? Marie was a little taller but not by much. She has long brown hair. The last one was… Jamiehh?! And now I need an explanation. “Jamiehh, what are you doing here,” I asked. She explained to me that she was contacted by Jeffrey to help us train a long time ago. I also learned that each of the trainers came from one another’s circle. Bob and Melena were friends. Jade and Marie were friends. Raech and Zeek came from the same school and Killua didn’t have anyone from his circle. “First there will be a group practice battle so we can assess how much personal training you each really need, Jeffrey explained. “Then after the two weeks of personal training, you will again have a team battle and if you win, then you guys are official members of Supapowa Brah.” First we were put on dark blue spandex suits that have a circular emblem with a big T in the middle that I’m assuming stands for training. The five of us stepped on a pedestal that teleported us into the training arena. The arena was a very large grass field. The only thing there was the pedestals where we came from and the one that the enemies spawn from. I don’t know where it came from but we heard Jeffrey’s voice say “Alright, there is going to be 100 enemies in here that you must defeat. Good luck.” We each heard 5 beeps indicating a countdown, then a long beep indicating that the battle had begun. The first enemy popped out of nowhere and before a lot of us could respond Melena ran up to it and sliced its head with her first sword and its waist with her second sword. That girl was quiet yet dangerous and I made sure to make a mental note of that. The “enemies” were various heights, each with the same military haircut. Each of them has different random faces and the same jump suit as us, the only difference being their suit was yellow. Ten more enemies came out and the rest of us went into action. I sent a fireball hurling into one of them, burning his suit and his body until he dropped to the ground. As soon as one was killed five more popped up. I kicked one in the chest and turned to see Raech send one right into the air, disappearing in the atmosphere. I heard a scream and guessed that Killua shocked on of them. I saw Jade pulling knives from her pockets and throwing them. I turned back to see myself faced with three enemies with weapons. I dodged one, grabbing a hunting knife that she had and stabbing her with it. I smacked one with the knife and shot fire down onto him and then I beat the last one to a bloody pulp. I looked up to see at least twenty in front of me. I backed up shooting fireballs knocking out a few. I kept backing up until I bumped into someone. I turned and it was my team we were back to back in a circle and then I realized that we were surrounded by tons of enemies. We were shooting what we could into the crowd but it didn’t even make a dent. “Any plans?” Jade yelled out to us. “Let’s just ride this out as long as we can,” I replied. We fought them out for at least a minute before they were finally piling over us.

Chapter 6: The History

With my muffled hearing I heard a bell and suddenly we were all standing in the training room again. “You guys did great,” Jeffrey said. “You’re kidding right?” Killua asked “You guys lasted a lot longer than we expected,” Jeffrey replied. “Alright now follow me Supapowa School. Tasha thought that you should receive the history of the company first before you begin training so follow me.” We left the training room and walked down to a room marked School room. We walked inside and there were five desks and a chalkboard. Jeffrey walked to the front of the classroom and began. “Like I said yesterday, Welcome to Supapowa Brah Inc. where we make

all of your superhero dreams come true. The company began in 1958 when Mr. Barry Maletti, who is a billionaire, bought this building. When Mr. Maletti was a boy, he always dreamed of superheroes and things that never seemed to be able to come true. When he bought this building he began to create computer software that took him 5 years to complete. The computer software was called SPU which stands for Super Powers Unlimited. Software has evolved over the years to what we use today. All of the random computers in the rooms have a specific purpose and it’s all thanks to the software. After the software was completed, Mr. Maletti used it on himself to create his super powers. Mr. Maletti is the supreme hero and sometimes still comes to visit occasionally. After he had proof that the software worked he attracted a team that was given immortality which means they stop aging. I am among that original team and I am his Leading officer. Over the years we have had many superheroes that have come and gone. Superman, Batman, Spiderman, The Avengers all received their power from Supapowa Brah. The movies are fake ways to explain it to the world for entertainment purposes. And right now, you five are the Superheroes of today and we plan on having a bright future with you guys. Our staff is made of hundreds of employees that work to make the software better. All of them have some type of power that protects them, but nothing like how your powers will be when it’s all over. When the two weeks of training is complete and you pass your final battle, you receive your official Supapowa Brah ID’s that authorize in and out of the building and to different sections of the place without the need of an escort” I don’t like the way he said when it’s all over. I am glad that I got a background on the place that was “employing” me. Now I feel a lot more confident about this whole opportunity.

Chapter 7: Time Fly'sWe were led back into the training center where we once again are faced with our trainers. Zeek, who I am assuming is the head trainer, steps forward and says “We will each train with you all individually for two hours a person. I will train you with Hand to hand combat, Bob will train you in defense, Marie will train you in Stealth, and Jamiehh will train you in Weaponry and Gadgets. The one who isn’t with a trainer will take their time to practice their elements and abilities. Pyro you will train with Jamiehh, Killua you will train with Marie, Raech you will train with Bob, and Melena will train with me,” he said smiling at her. I looked over at her and saw that she was blushing. I followed Jamiehh onto a pedestal that led us to a training room that was completely empty. When we got there I asked her, “Were you one of the original members or are you new?” “I’m one of the original members, I was given immortality. I was actually born in 1941,” she replied, avoiding my eyes. Well this is awkward. “Let’s begin the training,” she said. For the next two hours I assembled machine guns and rifles. She introduced me to multiple gadgets. One of them was a grappling hook. I was pretty sure Jade would love training here. After those two hours were up I transitioned to training with Marie. It wasn’t really anything interesting. We talked about camouflage and how important it is and she gave me some tips on being stealthy. Then I moved to Bob who talked about how defense is just as important as offense. We had a practice battle where she taught me many tactics at self-defense and defense of my team mates. I trained with Zeek and even though he doesn’t look like it, that kid is brute strength. 2 hours and five bruises later I was in the room where I was left to train alone. I decided to work on my fireball. I liked how well I had learned it, but it has the potential to be better so I worked on it. I couldn’t work on my mind powers because I didn’t have anyone to train on. After those two hours went down the drain Jeffrey led us all to the dining room where we all enjoyed a dinner and got to know each other. I learned that Raech has friends that think she's going to be pregnant next week ;). Melena wants to have a baby even though she's only 15.

Killua has attempted to kill his brother twice and Jade has 6 Perry shirts and 4 pairs of Perry slippers. At about 10 PM we all packed up our things and went home. I was just going to tell my parents that I was at Mark's house with Jake. The next two weeks were... interesting to say the least. We were all improving rather well. I had the same routine daily. I went to Jamiehh for W's & G's, Marie for stealth, Bob for defense, Zeek for Combat and then put in a room by myself where I learned new ways to use my powers. Everyday the same routine, just like school. Arrive at 10AM. 1st Trainer from 11-1. 2nd from 1-3. 3rd from 3-5. 4th from 5-7. Alone time from 7-9 (NOT THAT TYPE OF ALONE TIME TAYLOR). Then we would chill until we were bored and ready to go home. Before I knew it, individual training was over. I was wondering how much my teammates had learned, but I never asked them. “Ok guys and gals,” Jeffrey started. “You have been training hard so tomorrow is your final test. You all are going back into the field to fight off more enemy units. I have faith in you guys.” The next morning I got to Supapowa Brah at 9:45 because I was excited to pass this test. I was escorted by Jarald and I guess the team was just as excited because I was the last one there. That's a first, I thought. “Good everyone is here. Get suited up and meet me back here in 10 minutes. If you aren't here, you won't be eligible to go in,” Jeffrey explained. “Someone's being rather strict I see,” Raech said. We laughed but seriously he was being pretty strict about it. I hurried and was ready in 3 minutes. Beat that, I thought as I was escorted back to the training room. We were all there in about 8 minutes time except for Killua. He showed up smirking five seconds before time was up. He did that purposely, I thought. Jeffrey glared at him. We all stepped onto the pedestal a lot more confident than last time. When we were out on the field I asked, “So what's our strategy this time? Stick together or spread apart?” “We don't have to stick together, we can just stay in the same vicinity,” Jade suggested. We all agreed on that and then we heard Jeffrey over the intercom asking us if we are ready. When we replied yes, we again heard the five beeps followed by the long beep. The first enemy popped up right behind me and before it could even attack, I backhanded it before taking my hunting knife and stabbing it multiple times (hehe :P).Just like before they started showing up like hydra's after you cut their heads off. I ran to my left and found myself faced with four enemies. I shot a line of fire at one of them before kicking the one next to it. I ducked under the third ones foot and pulled the foot up to its head, flipping it. I used my mind abilities to send a constant wave of thoughts through the enemies mind. It worked because it went mentally insane, got up, and ran around screaming until it finally dropped dead. I heard Killua yell, “Holy crap Pyro, what did you do to it.” I didn't answer but I stared at the fourth one ready to attack until it took out its knife and stabbed itself. When did they get weapons, I thought. I turned and then felt time slow down as Killua jumped in the air with one of the enemy units and dodged it, then kicked its back leg flipping it before sending a lightning bolt through its chest. Then Killua and Raech teamed up on a gang of at least twenty enemies sending lightning balls and air everywhere. I turned to my right and saw Melena and Jade back to back with swords fighting off more enemies. I kicked an enemy and ran toward Killua and Raech who were being targeted from behind. I jumped over them and sent a fire ball flailing down on the enemy as I helped them with the growing group. We were doing a lot better than last time. In no time at all all of the enemies were taken care of. We regrouped waiting to be transported back to the training room. “What th-,” Taylor started being cut off by a growl behind us. We all turned around and was wide eyed at what we saw. It looked like a massive sewage monster. It had dark green skin and was at least 50 feet tall. It stood on two feet and its hands were kind of curled up. “I was wondering why it was so easy,” Melena said. We all nodded in agreement. I growled again as one of its feet came down attempting to squish us. We all dodged

out of the way and sprung into action. Jade spawned a bunch of knives that Raech took and sent up toward the beasts' head using her wind powers. Killua and I tried shooting some fire and electric balls. Nothing we were doing did much damage. Melena tried blasting it with some physics and also used telekinesis to get some of the knives toward the monsters head. The monster suddenly threw something at us so fast I didn't even notice until it was right over our heads. Wait, Right over our heads! Melena used a force field to protect us. “I don’t know how much longer I can hold this, go!” she yelled. When we were out of the way she let it drop, out of breath. “Killua, your plan just might work,” I said. “What are you talking about?” He asked, forgetting I could read minds. “The plan about us using our elements together to destroy the monster,” I replied. “Ohhhhh ok we could try,” He said. We huddled together in a straight line. Lifting our hands simultaneously we shot out the strongest line of our element as we could toward the monster. It looked amazing. Fire, electricity, wind, physics, and... knives mixed into one. It worked because the monster fell back and sunk into the ground. We were them transported back to the training room. “You guys did amazing!” Jeffrey exclaimed. Ignoring him Raech asked, “What the heck was that thing?” “Oh, that was a elemente degrehos, meaning an element monster, which means there are at least 3 elements required for it's defeat. By the way you guys were performing some advanced things in there.” “Like what,” I asked “Well, you used the 'push' ability. Which means you can push thoughts into one's mind and make them think its their own. Melena you used a pretty big force field,” Jeffrey said. “My head hurts,” She complained. “And it will get better with time. Keep practicing. Now follow me to the presentation room.” How many rooms are in this place, I thought. When we got in there, we found ourselves facing a crowd of 100's of people. “Are they all workers here?” I asked. “Yes and some pretty big superheroes,” Jeffrey replied. I looked in the crowd and saw Thor. Man was he old. I saw a few others. Clark Kent was there and so was Peter Parker. We were led to five chairs on a stage and Jeffrey walked over to the mic. “Today you are here to witness the official entrance of five new superheroes to the superhero world,” Jeffrey boomed. The crowd went wild. “We are here to present official Supapowa Brah ID cards to... Pyro Jensen , Killua Zoldyck , Raech Windom, Jade Laua, and Melena Crator. So when I call your name please step forward and get your ID. Pyrooo.” I stepped forward and walked towards Jeffrey. I was nervous because I have never been in front of a crowd so large, but they were cheering for me, so it wasn't too bad. Jeffrey told me to hold the other end of the ID. He muttered something in what I assumed was Klingon and suddenly a golden aura was cast over me and I felt... great. He instructed for me to sit and did the same for Killua, Raech, Jade and Melena. After he was done he said a little speech about the history and how we've show dedication and effort before ending the ceremony. The crowd went into an uproar before returning to their jobs. Zeek, Jamiehh, Bob, and Marie cheered the loudest for us and shouted, “We trained them!!” After everyone had filed out the only people in the room were us five, Jeffrey, and Tasha. “we'll give you guys some time to bask in the limelight, but meet us in the control room in 20 minutes,” Tasha said to us. That was the first time she had ever said anything to us. It was kind of awkward but we all just said okay and headed to the cafeteria.

Chapter 8:First MissionWe all ordered Philly Cheesesteaks and sat down. “Did anyone else feel amazing after that aura thing happened?” I asked. They all agreed that it was amazing. “What do you think happened?” Jade asked us. “Maybe it was something to make us massively stronger,” Killua exclaimed. “My guess is that it was the way of giving us a energy boost,” Melena said. I know that wasn't it, but Melena would say anything to counter what Killua says. We finished our cheesesteaks in silence

(I mean seriously whats better than cheesesteaks xD) and headed down to the control room where Tasha and Jeffrey were waiting. “First mission time!” Jeffrey exclaimed. We all stood there smiling, trying to hide our excitement. “So what is the mission?” Raech asked. “This is going to take a while to explain so listen,” Jeffrey began. “Your first mission is to travel to California and retrieve the “nagh”.” “What is a nagh?” I asked. “Its means stone. Were looking for a stone,” Melena replied. That's when we realized he said were going to California. “Wait, CALIFORNIA!” Killua yelled. “I wish I had some water to spit out.” At that moment a bottle of water was handed to him. “Oh thank you,” he said. “Ok so let's just repeat that.” “You are going to California,” Jeffrey repeated. Killua spit out his water and yelled, “Wait, CALIFORNIA! I thought our first mission would be something like stopping bank robbers or getting a cat out of a tree like the movies.” “This isn't the movies,” Jeffrey started. “This is real life. We leave those missions to the minor heroes. Now let me finish. The nagh is a very powerful weapon. It allows you to do anything, literally. Mr. Maletti invented it of course. About a month ago, the SVMA infiltrated this building and stole it. The SVMA stands for the Super Villain Mega Alliance, which is a lot like Superpowa Brah, but its designed for villains. They have been using the nagh to cause trouble in the west coast and it is you guyses job to go and retrieve it.” “This sounds like a hard mission,” I stated. “It is and it will take days but you guys are my best additions and I am trusting you to complete this mission,” Jeffrey said. “You could choose not to do it, but you guys are a team so the vote must be unanimous.” “I want to do it,” I said. Everyone else nodded in agreement. “Alright then, its settled, you all leave tomorrow morning at 8. Before you leave today you guys need to choose a leader for your mission,” Jeffrey said. “How do we decide?” Melena asked. “You can have a sparring tournament. The winner becomes your new leader,” Jeffrey replied. “Just make sure you don't group Melena and Killua together unless you want a death,” Raech said. We all laughed except for those two. I don’t really know why but those two despise each other. They don't talk to each other,They always glare at one another, and the only reason they are working together is because they were grouped together. I've never really gotten the guts to ask one of them why they hate each other so much. “Ok, so Killua and Pyro are partners, Raech and Melena are partners and Jade spars with the winner,” Jeffrey said. “Actually, I don't think we should elect a leader,” I begin. “All of us here are too competitive and leader like to actually agree and even if we did spar, no one would be satisfied besides the winner. Besides, there is more to a leader than strength and combat.” “Pyro has a point,” Killua said. “Well if that's how you want to do it, then I won't get in your way. Be here tomorrow at 8 because that's when you leave and get some rest tonight,” Jeffrey said walking away. “Well I guess we can go home now,” Jade said. It's so nice to have a day off, I thought and then I realized that I have to tell my parents that I'm leaving.

Chapter 9: Parents are coolI pulled into the driveway trying to anticipate what my parents would say. I walked up to the front door and was greeted by Macy. I gave her a belly rub as my parents walked in. “Hey there son we never see anymore,” my dad said. “HA HA,” I said in a sarcastic tone. “Listen can I ask you guys something?” “Shoot,” My dad said. “Well there's this road trip that me and a couple of friends want to go on and I was wondering can I go pleaseeee?” “Where is it to?” my mom asked. “uhhh... California,” I whispered. “Nope absolutely not, you are too young to go that far alone without adult supervision,” My mom said. “But I will have adult supervision,” I countered Supervision over an earpiece, I thought. “ I don't think this is a trip you should go on. You have to pay for gas, stopping at hotels, food, I just wouldn't feel comfortable,” she said. “Don't worry, we will be covered,” I said. I really badly wanted to tell her what the real deal was so she would

understand (maybe) but I knew she definitely wouldn't have let me go if I told her the truth. “How much does it cost?” my father asked. “It's free,” I replied. “Trisha, I don't see why he can't go. I think it would be a good opportunity,” my dad said. “So you approve of him going to California without us?” My mom asked. “Well he's barely here now as it is, I don't see what's going to change.” my dad said. “Well fine then, you win. When do you leave?” she asked directing her attention back to me. “Tomorrow morning at 8,” I replied. “Okay then, well I guess you should get packing then, but please be safe,” She said before plopping down on the couch. “Thanks mom, thanks dad,” I said before heading upstairs. I walked up to my room and opened my door and was faced with a peculiar sight. Steve was sitting on MY bed playing MY copy of GTA IV on MY PS3. “What are you doing? You know mom and dad don't want you playing that game,” I stated. “Oh... uhh.. hi Pyro, you aren't supposed to be home yet,” He said obviously nervous. “Please don't tell mom and dad, I can't get in trouble again.” Truthfully I already knew and I didn't mind it too much. “I'm not going to tell them, and I already knew. You really need to learn how to be sneaky.” I said. You need to go to Marie and learn some stealth, I thought. “Thanks, Well since your home early, I'll just leave you alone,” he said. “You don't have to leave,” I said. “I'm just here to pack .” “Pack? Where are you going?” he asked. “California.” “And our parents approved for you to go?” “Yes.” “We've gotta call the cops.” “Why?” “Because the people who approved for you to go can't be mom and dad. We laughed. I spent the next two hours packing a bunch of things. This was going to be a long trip and I couldn't forget anything. After everything was packed, I played Madden 11 with Steve for a while until is was time for dinner. After dinner I went up to my room and plopped onto my bed with Macy following suit. “I love Macy” is the last thing I thought before I drifted off into dream land. I woke up the next morning at 6 AM. I was really well rested considering I went to sleep around 7:30. I hopped into the shower. I put on some clothes with my super suit underneath them. I double checked my suitcase to make sure that I had everything that I would need. Toothbrush and paste. Check. Deodorant. Check. Brush, Wallet, Snacks. Check. Two weeks worth of outfits and underclothes. Check. Yes my suitcase is big. I headed downstairs and decided to make breakfast. Two eggs, 6 pieces of bacon (<--Heart attack), some hash browns and a glass of apple juice later, I was ready to go. I turned to go grab my suitcase when I found my parents, Steve, and Alicia staring at me. I could tell my mom dragged my dad and siblings downstairs to say bye to me because all three of them looked like they wanted to either kill her for waking them up at 7AM or kill me for giving her a reason to wake up. “Morning guys,” I said with a smile. No one smiled back but my mom. “We just wanted to wish you a good trip and good luck,” She said as if I was going to college. I hugged her and the rest of my family members before going upstairs to grab my suitcase. When I came back downstairs, my family was gone. Then I heard snoring coming from upstairs. “Yeah dad I feel the love hearing your snores all the way downstairs,” I muttered to myself. At least Macy was there to say bye to me. I went and put my suitcase in my trunk and went back inside to give Macy one last belly rub and kiss before my trip. She licked my face multiple times before I got up and walked out of the front door, shutting it.

Chapter 10: Day 1I pulled up at 7:20. I was pretty sure Jeffrey and Jarald were inside. I got out and scanned my ID, opening the door. Oh how good it felt to not have to be escorted by Jarald feeling like a prisoner. I walked into command where I found Jeffrey, Killua, and Jade. “Hey guys, and gal,” I said as I walked in. “Hey Py,” They replied simultaneously. I sat down at the table in the seat next to Jade. “So how are we going to get there?” Jade asked. “Wait till the others get here,”

Jeffrey replied. Melena, Raech, Tasha, and Jarald were all there by 7:40. “Now that everyone is here, how are we getting there?” Jade asked. “We could always fly,” Melena replied. “None of us have learned to fly yet using our powers,” Killua countered. Melena glared at him. “We could always learn,” She said. “I would rather us drive,” he said. “That's the most i've ever heard them say to each other,” I said. “Yup,” Raech and Jade agreed. “It would be faster if you could fly, but right now driving is your only option, so if you would follow me out to the garage, I can show you what you're driving,” Jeffrey said. I didn't know they had a garage. Well it was more of a car park below the building... far below. When we got there, it caught my eye. It was a Bugatti Veyron Super Short. It could go 0-60 mph in 2.4 secs and had an Aluminum, Narrow Angle 8 Liter W16 Engine with 1200 hp. It was black and red and it looked amazing. As soon as Jeffrey pulled the keys out I grabbed them and yelled, “I call driver!” “I call shotgun!” Raech also yelled. “Alright but hold your horses, go get your suitcases and then you can have the keys,” Jeffrey said grabbing the keys. We hurried and got our suitcases and stuffed them in the trunk. I sat in the front seat and Raech sat in the passenger seat. Melena sat behind my seat and Killua sat behind Raech's, which put Jade in the middle of the back seat. Jeffrey popped up beside my window. “Ok, the radio system becomes a communication system with the press of a button,” Jeffrey said. “Also I need you guys to have these devices in your ears at all times so I can communicate with you. And I mean ALL TIMES. It's water proof and I cant hear you unless you press the talk button.” He handed them to us and we put them on. Now I feel official (XD). “Now don't even turn the car on until I’m at least back in the elevator,” Jeffrey instructed. “Are you scared Jeff?” I asked smiling. “Yes I am,” He laughed handing me the keys. “The GPS system will also show up when you press the button as well. I will also give you more info on exact location once I get it. Good luck.” and with that he was gone. I started the car. “It even sounds like it goes fast,” I said with a creepy smile. “Don't kill us!” Melena yelled. “What? It's only the fastest car in the world,” I said. “Yeah I'm getting out now,” Killua said laughing. I pressed the button and the radio system transformed into a little spy station with 3 monitors. One for communication to Supapowa Brah, one for GPS and one for tunes of course :) . “Whoa, I love Supapowa Brah even more if we get to drive this all the time,” Raech said. Jade handed me the Phineas and Ferb soundtrack. SIMP- Squirrels in my pants started playing and I put the car in drive and drove off, while all five of us were singing it karaoke style. I drove out onto the street, honking at Jeffrey who was watching us from the door. As I turned the corner, I saw his hand waving to us. “Okay,” Raech started putting the info into the GPS. “It looks like it will take approximately 1 day and 18 hours to reach Los Angeles.” “Okay so we can drive for about 12 hours today and then stop for dinner and head to a hotel. Sound cool?” I asked. Everyone nodded in agreement. Everyone was doing their own little thing after an hour of driving. Killua was listening to music on his iPod, Melena was texting Zeek, Jade was still listening to the PnF soundtrack, and Raech was practicing her air powers. “Umm... Raech?” I started. “Yeah?” “Your suffocating us,” I said as I rolled down the window. “Yeah you are,” The three in the back said simultaneously. “How?” she asked. “When you use your powers, you are using the oxygen and since the only oxygen we have is in this car and your using it, We can't breath,” Jade explained. “Oh,” Raech said. “I wonder if I can suck the air out of someone's body until they die.” “You probably can. Along with becoming the air,” Killua said. “Pyro, you're going 95 in a 70,” Melena said. “And? This car was built for speed,” Killua said. “Well no one was talking to you,” Melena countered. He glared at her before going back to his iPod. We drove for another 5 hours before Jade spoke up and said, “Okay it's two o'clock, lunchtime.” “FOOOOOOODDDDDD!!” Melena exclaimed. I was pretty hungry, so I got off on the next exit

I saw and went to the Chik Fil A drive thru. “EAT MORE CHICKENN!” Jade yelled in a deep voice. We all once again stared at her. After we got our food, Raech checked the bag and said, “Crap we forgot napkins.” I figured it was time for me to test my mind control ability. “Killua, can you go get the napkins?” I asked. “No, you go get it,” I figured he would say no. I turned and stared at him trying to enter his mind and find that central location that would allow me to take control. I stared right into his eyes and found that place and said again, “Killua, can you go get the napkins?” “Sure Pyro, be right back,” he said climbing out of the car. “I can't believe that worked,” I said out loud. I went and parked and waited for him. He got back in the car and asked, “Anything else?” I forgot that he stays under my control until I let him break away. I broke it away and asked who wanted to drive since we agreed that 6 hours was our driving limit before we switch. “Meeeeeeeeeee, Killua shouted,” “Can I walk from here?” Melena asked sarcastically. Killua and I switched places and then he pulled out of the parking lot going at least 40 by the time he got to the street. We opened the compartments behind the seats and in front of the glove compartment to reveal portable TV’s. “Yay other means of entertainment!” Melena screeched. So we ate and silently watched “Phineas and Ferb” (Do you like all the recent mention of PnF Arleehhh? xD). After we ate, we drove for 5 more hours, going 100 mph almost all the way there. We reached our destination for the day an hour earlier obviously. We decided to check into the hotel before we went out to dinner. As we pulled into the parking lot of the Holiday Inn express, Jeffrey called us on the monitor. Raech answered it. “Hello my friends, how was today? Did you run into any trouble? Where are you?” “Hey Jeff, We just pulled into a hotel in Jackson, Tennessee. We’re going to go get some dinner after we check in,” Killua explained. “Okay well if nothing is wrong, have a good night and be safe and DFTBA,” Jeffrey said. “Jeff is a nerd fighter,” I said. We got our suitcases out of the roomy trunk and walked into the lobby. The lobby was amazing. It had a huge chandelier hanging from the at least 45 foot ceiling. There were multicolored pillars in four corners of the lobby and included red rugs with 3 green couches sitting on them. The lady at the front desk looked like she was around 25 and she had red curly hair that bounced on her shoulders. When we reached the front desk everyone stared at me so I spoke up, “Can we have a double sided suite please?” I asked. I had heard of them and always wanted to stay in one. There was a living room with a couch and some chairs, and on each side of the living room were rooms with two beds in each of them. “The only one I have available is on the top floor,” she said. “That’s fine,” I said smiling at my team mates who were smiling just as creepily. This situation reminded me of a story that Jamiehh had once written. It was about her and 3 of her friends that found this random letter and went on a road trip to find all the clues. They stayed in hotels like these. Maybe she was in this situation once and decided to write about it. We bounded over to the elevator and once inside, Jade hit the button marked 15. We walked down what seemed like an endless hallway until we found the door marked 1534. Killua put the key in the slot and unlocked the door. Once inside, I was hit by the overpowering aroma of cookies. “Okay so who sprayed this room with cookies?” I yelled. They ignored my question. “Okay so here are the room situations,” Raech started. “Obviously Pyro and Killua share one room and the three of us have to decide who sleeps on the couch.” “I’ll sleep on the couch,” Melena said. “Yeah that’s right the outcast sleeps on the couch,” Killua muttered. Melena’s eyes narrowed to slits when she heard that, but she kept quiet. The girls sat on the couch and Killua and I sat on a chair and opened some catalogs. There weren’t many attractions that interested us, considering we were suburb kids and not country kids. Melena and Raech were about the closest ones that were interested in the attractions. “We should go to Tropical Smoothie for dinner,” Killua said. “No, that’s fast food, we want a

restaurant,” Melena said slowly. Jade suggested we go to Chili’s. We each took quick showers and pulled on some better looking clothes before heading down to the car. Killua grabbed the keys and said, “I still have an hour left.” We arrived at the restaurant that was supposed to be 18 minutes away in just 11 minutes. We were impressed. “Killua Zoldyck, Cutting travel times since… 2 PM,” He said satisfied. We all laughed, even Melena. We walked in and again they stared all stared at me so again I spoke up, “Booth for five please?” “Right this way,” The hostess said with a smile. She led us to one of those half booth- half table things. I got in the booth part in the middle. Melena was on my left and Raech was on my right. Killua and Jade sat in the chairs around the table. I ordered the buffalo boneless wings with home-style fries and a Sprite. It hit the spot. After we were done eating, we were just having a random conversation. Killua picked up a roll and frowned saying, “it’s cold.” “That’s where I come in,” I say. I stared at the roll and my eyes glowed a deadly red color. The roll started sizzling and I looked away saying, “Roll’s done.” They all stared at me like I was an alien. “What? A guy can’t use his fire abilities?” I said. “Not in public,” Melena said. “That’s why I used my eyes,” I responded. “So, were running low on supplies already,” Killua started, changing the subject. “I think we should go to the store before we keep going.” “Should we go tonight?” Jade asked. “I think we should go in the morning,” Raech suggested. After we finished, we went back to the hotel, got in our pajamas, and put “The Lion King” in the DVD player. There was a knock on the door while the previews were playing. All of us got up and went to the door and Killua opened it. It was Jamiehh. “I WILL RAPE YOU ALL!!” She yelled at the top of her lungs laughing and running away. We were all still staring at the doorway, trying to fathom what just happened. “That was awkward,” Melena finally said. We nodded in agreement and returned to the movie. Halfway through, Killua shot up and screamed, “I HAVE AN IDEA!! Okay so we could make a retarded version on The Lion King, but this time Scar wins. Pyro can be Scar and Raech can be Simba. Simba is a retarded lion and I’ll be the monkey…” Raech turned up the volume until he got the hint and shut up. After the movie each of us went to our respective sides and went to sleep.

Chapter 11: Day 2 and 3I felt tapping on my shoulder. “Pyro, wake up,” I groaned before turning over. I felt a shock go through my body (Payback) and I hopped up fast. “DUDE!! WHAT THE HECK!” I yelled. “You wouldn’t wake up,” Killua said. I walked into the living room and he followed me. Everyone else had heard us and gotten up. “Okay so I think we should have a rule that says that we aren’t allowed to use our abilities on one another unless it’s for a training session and we agree to it,” I said. The team agreed and we proceeded to get ready for today’s trip. We were all ready to the go by 7:40. We took our suitcases to the car and went back inside to eat breakfast. I had bacon, eggs, watermelon, and friend potatoes with Apple juice (I love apple juice :P). After breakfast, we checked out and headed to the car. Today Raech was driving and we headed to the Wal-Mart down the street. We went inside and split up. I made my way to the food section and at the end I ended up with 3 bags of pretzels, a 24 pack of Pepsi, some double stuffed Oreos, 2 bags of cool ranch Doritos, some potato bread and nutella. I went to the checkout line and met the rest of the team with their items. In the end we had an additional 4 bags of pretzels, a 24 pack of Mountain Dew, a 24 pack of Sprite, a 24 pack of water, 2 more things of Oreos, 3 more bags of Doritos, a box of donuts, and some granola bars. I’m glad we have a company credit card. After we checked out, we stashed the food in the right compartment (my side ;)) and the drinks in the cooler compartment on the right side. Raech was driving and Melena had shotgun. Killua was on the left and Jade remained in the middle of the back seat. “Today our goal is to make it to Mobeetie, Texas,” Melena said. We groaned. “We aren’t country kids,” I yelled. We hit the

highway and around 2:30 we stopped for lunch at CiCi’s Pizza. After lunch, Jade drove. Like Killua, she was a speed demon. Melena was texting William the whole time, I played with my iPad a lot, Killua was bouncing electricity between his fingers, and Raech was watching TV. We reached the Holiday Inn at 8:30. We then proceeded to check in. There weren’t any suites available so we purchased two rooms. “Okay so boys in one room and girls in one,” Jade suggested. We all agreed and proceeded to our rooms. Killua and I got in pajamas and went across the hall to the girl’s room. We ordered room service since it was getting late. We decided to just order 2 extra-large pizzas. Once the Pizza arrived, we sat down to watch Phineas and Ferb. I was starting to see why Jade enjoyed that show so much, but I still didn’t see why she wanted to be a platypus so much, they don’t do much. The last thing I remember was Perry jumping out of a bush in a bear suit and hearing gururururururu before falling asleep. I was the first one to wake up. All of us had fallen asleep in a huddle on the floor. I looked at the clock. 6:50. I woke up everyone else receiving curses and groans but eventually everyone was up. I went to my room before Killua fully woke up so I could get in the shower. When I opened the door, Killua was standing outside of the bathroom door. “How did you…?” I asked. “I can become electricity and travel through wires,” He stated going into the bathroom. I glared nothing in particular before setting out my clothes. I hadn’t really unpacked anything or touched anything in the room. Soon after, I took a shower and got ready then went across the hall and knocked on the girl’s door. Somehow they were ready before us, but we put our belongings in the car and Melena hopped in the driver’s seat. This time I rode shotgun. We stopped at Hardee’s to get breakfast. We were about to stop for lunch on the highway when all of a sudden, something black flashed across the windshield. Melena lost control trying to dodge them, we were all screaming as the car bounded into the woods, we were dodging trees and the whole time at least 4 of the black figures were running alongside us and then off a cliff we went. We landed on a river bank. “What the heck did you do?” Killua screamed. “I was trying to dodge whatever that was,” Melena yelled back. “Guys…” I started. “You could’ve dodged the other way!” Killua responded. “Guys...” Raech started. “You act like I purposely did it!” Melena screamed at him. “GUYSSSS!!” Raech and I yelled simultaneously. “What!!” They both said. “Where’s Jade?” Raech and I finished.

Chapter 12: What next?“She was just right next to me,” Killua said. “This isn’t good,” Melena said. I ushered Melena out of the driver’s seat since it was my turn to drive anyway. I tried to start the car but it wouldn’t catch. “Crap, it’s no use,” I said. I was about to hit the monitor to call Jeffrey but he beat me to it. “Guys, what is going on?” He asked. “Okay so something black popped up, I dodged it, losing control, and then we went into the woods with some black things still following us then we flew off a cliff and landed on this river bank and then we noticed that Jade is missing,” Melena explained. “She has been kidnapped, but I don’t know what by,” He started. “Go to a hotel and I’ll try to find out where she is. It looks like you guys are doing a side mission.” “Why can’t we find her now?” Killua asked, obviously furious. “We don’t know where she is and you guys need rest. Killua, just trust me,” Jeffrey said. “We have no way of getting to the hotel, the car won’t start and we don’t know where we are,” I said. “There is a hotel just right outside the woods,” Jeffrey said. “I guess we will walk then,” I said. “We’ll send you a new spy car as soon as we can,” Jeffrey said before his image faded. We collected our things from the car (we had two extra suitcases filled with food and drink). “We need to get back to the cliff to reach wood level,” Raech said. “We could fly,” I suggested. Raech controlled the wind to send our things up there. “Would y’all like me to carry you guys up?” Raech asked. “No, we need to learn on our

own,” I said. She shrugged and used the wind to carry herself up. “Your turn!” She screamed down. Melena was next. She created a force field around herself and started to float upward. When she got up there, she looked noticeably tired. There must have been wires in the ground because before I knew it, he had reformed on the cliff. I was the only one left. I focused and before I knew it my whole body was covered in flames. I floated more than flew up. “I feel like the Human Torch,” I screamed. Just as easy as I covered myself, I got rid of the flames. My friends were sweating because of the heat. I noticed I was in my super suit. “Someone burned their clothes off,” Melena said. We bounded through the woods until a hotel and a sign that said Welcome to Albuquerque. “Were in New Mexico,” Raech stated. We went inside the lobby and paid for a suite. When we got to the room, we ordered lunch but all of us were too distracted to eat. I was pacing around the room trying to figure out where Jade could be or who it was that took her. I finally got an idea. “Guys, I can contact her through my mind powers,” I said. “She might be too far away,” Killua said. “My mind reading is based on relationship, not distance. I would be able to read her mind and unlock the secrets of her mind easier than the maid lady that’s about to knock on the door,” I said. She knocked and I got the extra towels she brought. “Well don’t just stand there, Do it!” He said. I was searching the farthest frequencies that would enter my brain. My brother…nope. My sister… not it. My parents… nope. I finally found one that I knew was Jade’s because I saw Perry the Platypus. She was having an action filled dream. That meant she was sleeping… “Jade!” I tried to call out to her. No answer. I tried again… still no answer. I came back to reality. “Where ever she is, she is sleeping,” I said.

Chapter 13: Jade’s POVSomething black ran across the windshield… the car lost control. We bounded into the woods and flew off of a cliff, and then everything went dark. I was suddenly in a dark room that consisted of a toilet, a sink, and a mattress. I went to the door and beat on it. “Hello!!! Someone help me,” I screamed. I backed as far away as possible and generated a rocket launcher. I launched it at the door. No luck. I was scared, confused, and tired so I decided to lay down on my mattress and go to sleep. I dreamed of Perry the Platypus. We were in the original arena where my team and I first used our powers together. I was sitting on a blanket, and then Perry skipped across the grass to the blanket, holding a picnic basket. He sat down and we had a wonderful lunch. I stared into his eyes and I nuzzled my nose on his bill. He chattered and then a big war broke out. By big war, I mean Xhirxhti. She looked about nine months pregnant. She yelled at Perry and then turned to me. She started chattering furiously and throwing platypus babies at me. I could have sworn that I was hearing Pyro calling my name but I couldn’t respond. That’s when I woke up. There were three men in the room. “Hello my name is Cartank,” said the one in the middle. I was assuming Cartank was the leader and the other two were his henchmen. “Where am I? What do you want from me?” I asked. “I want answers,” He simply stated. “I know you know where the nagh is.” “And what makes you think that?” I asked. “That is what your mission is, to retrieve the nagh,” Cartank said. “Seriously, how many people are after this thing,” I thought. “I don’t know where it is,” I said. “Don’t lie to me! I wasn’t born yesterday,” He said. “Obviously… seriously look at that gray hair, you could at least style it,” I said. I shouldn’t be defying him, but I do need to try to change the subject. I heard Pyro’s voice in my head just like in my dream. He said, “Jade, can you hear me?” “Yes, I can hear you,” I said (via my mind) relieved to hear a familiar voice. “Oh Thank god, Where are you?” He said. “I don’t know. I woke up in this random room and have no clue where I am. This man is asking me where the nagh is,” I said. “Okay well were going to come find you as soon as we get another spy car,” He

said. I was about to respond but I was hit by Cartank (who I’ve been ignoring) and then everything went black.

Chapter 14: The Saving“Jade… Jade… JADE!!,” I said. I was talking to her just a minute ago and then there was silence. “Something isn’t right,” I said. “I was talking to her, and then everything went silent.” “Did you ask her where she was?” Raech asked. “Yeah, but she didn’t know where she was and she said that her captor was looking for the nagh,” I responded. “Maybe Jeffrey can help.” I sat on the bed and pulled out my laptop. Jeffrey answered almost immediately. “Did you find anything,” I asked. “Nothing,” He responded. “Well I have good news, I talked to her and she doesn’t know where she is, but her captor is looking for the nagh,” I said. “Interesting, I will look through the databases and see if I can find anything,” He said before signing out. It was about 7 at night and today was tiring. I went to my side and hopped into to bed before dozing off. I heard a car alarm in my head. It was so loud that it woke me up. I looked over at the clock. 3:45 AM. -__- I went to the window and saw a Hennessey Venom GT, The second fastest car in the world. I knew that was our new spy car. I woke everyone else up and showed them and we all went downstairs in our pajamas. We got to the car and opened it to find the keys in the front seat. This car was better than the Super short. This car was the same, but it had an autopilot feature and could fly. “I think we should go now,” Killua said. We quickly agreed and ran upstairs to get ready. We were all ready to go at 4:30. We had checked out and I hopped in the driver’s seat. We realized we still don’t know where she is. “Okay, now what?” Raech asked. “I suggest we go west,” Melena said. “I suggest we go east,” Killua said. While they were debating, I noticed something. There was a piece of paper that seemed to be glowing on the ground near the car. I got out and picked it up. It read:

Dear Supers, I see that you realize that Jade is missing. You have come find her. I’m not going to tell you where she is. But let’s talk about popularity. I like Hannah Montana. Don’t you? Also I have a daughter named Arlee who loves her. Anyway until next time,

Cool guy

I walked back to the car and showed it to the team. “Where do you think she is?” Melena asked. They debated different locations. I wasn’t listening. “Arlee, Montana,” I said. “What?” They asked. “Arlee, Montana,” I repeated “That’s where she is.” “Umm... Okay, we can try,” Raech said. She put it in the GPS. “That takes 19 hours if we drive. Even if Killua drove to cut time, it would still take about 13 hours and we don’t know if we have that long,” She said in a worried tone. “We don’t have to drive,” I said. I then pressed the button that transforms the car into a flying ship. We were above the clouds. “Okay so this thing goes 300 MPH, so we’ll be there in about 3.8 hours,” I said (I’m a math genius btw ;)). With that being said, I pressed on the gas. The speedometer said 300, but it felt so normal. “What do you think is happening to her?” I asked. “Well you said that someone was trying to find out where the nagh is. They’re probably torturing her for an answer,” Raech said. “She isn’t dead,” Killua started. “They wouldn’t kill her unless they got what they wanted.” “Maybe she did give them what they wanted,” Melena said. “I doubt it,” I said. Raech looked like she wanted to say something, but she didn’t. We rode the rest of the time in silence and just like I had said, we were in Arlee, Montana 3 hours and 48 minutes later. “Okay we’re here, now what,” Melena asked. At that moment, Jeffrey called us. “I have discovered that Jade is in Arlee, Montana,” Jeffrey said. “We’re already here

Jeffrey,” Killua said. “Oh… well this is awkward,” He said. “I’ll work on finding her exact location. We’ve been trying to find her using her tracking device, but it’s not responding.” We decided to wait on Jeffrey. We couldn’t make him seem like a fail twice, so we went to IHOP for breakfast. I got strawberry filled pancakes and bacon with apple juice. Raech sighed before saying, “Guys, what if we can’t save her. We’re new to this business.” “We are going to save her, there is no what if we don’t!” Killua snapped. “I’m just saying that we don’t know if she is alive or where she is!” she snapped back.“We’ll figure it out!!” He yelled.“Guys!” I yelled in a silent tone. “Calm down, you’re attracting attention to our table.”I waved at everyone that was staring at us and turned back to my plate. After we finished, we walked into the parking lot. “We have nothing to do until Jeffrey calls,” Killua said. “I’ve been working on some cool new abilities… I guess I could practice them.”“How about a spar?” Raech asked. “I’m not sparring with a girl,” Killua replied.“Why? Are you scared?” She asked. “Fine then, you’re on,” Killua responded.We walked to the back of the restaurant that only had a dumpster and lots of open space where we wouldn’t be seen. I summoned a fire bell and Melena counted down. “3…2…1…” I rung the bell that sounded more like something being eaten by flames. Killua ran towards Raech and she created a tornado that prevented him from getting closer. He tried to shoot electricity but Raech used wind to counteract it, creating a storm. It started to pour down rain. “We’ll I won’t be using my power anytime soon,” I said to Melena, who was laughing. Raech flew and kicked Killua in the shin; He grabbed her stomach (anyone catch the reference?) and sent electricity through her body (Bad choice). The electricity hurt her, but it made her into what looked like a human storm. She created a powerful wind storm with electricity that separated the two and Killua slowed down time, flying up through the wire to the other side of Raech. Time returned to normal and Killua tackled her to the ground (anyone catch that reference? XD). She reacted really fast and sent him into the air, he then disappeared into the power lines and he was taking electricity from the power line to shoot at her. The lights around the restaurant began to flicker. I read her mind and I knew what she would do next. “Melena, put a force field around us,” I instructed. She didn’t hesitate to do it. Raech began sucking in the air in the area, causing the electricity to stop flowing Killua reappeared on the ground suffocating. He was turning purple. Was she trying to kill him? Just when it looked like he couldn’t hold on any longer she let go and he lay there gasping for air. She kneeled down and said, “Never mess with this Aero kinetic girl,” She walked passed us and got into the car. We helped Killua up and walked back to the car. “You lost to a…”I started. “Don’t say it,” he said cutting me off. When we got in the car he snapped, “WHAT… THE HECK… WAS… THAT!!” “You thought it would be easy to fight me, so I showed you the truth,” Raech said. Luckily, Jeffrey called at that moment to prevent further argument. “Jade is at 4536 Monlet Rd.,” Jeffrey said. “It has a secret floor in that building, just like Mt. Olympus. Marie and Bob got the details on the location.” “How did they do that?” I asked.“They made some calls,” Jeffrey relied. “Head over there, It should be only about 10 minutes away.”I hit the “End call” button and Raech began to drive towards our location. When we got there, I stood there wide eyed. The building had at least 30 floors. “How exactly is there a city looking building like this in a mountainous area?” Melena asked. “Exactly,” We all said together. “Let’s go in,” Killua said. “Wait!” I started. “This is a trap, that’s why he left the note, He’s expecting

us. He knows that Bob and Marie were the ones that called as well. They’re drawing us in to capture us for more information.”“I think you’re right, this seemed too easy,” Raech said.Our plan was simple, but it will be effective… I hope. We walked inside and I knew immediately that the teenage guy worked for whoever Jade’s captor was… I could feel it in his spirit that he was an amateur. My powers have been evolving rather quickly. I spoke up, “Can you take us to the 31st floor?” I asked. Before he could respond I said laughing, “Just kidding, this isn’t The Lightning Thief.” Just like I expected he said, “Actually we do have a hidden floor,” He said excitedly. “Want to see it?” He led us to the elevator and a button that read 31 appeared. He pressed it and we moved at what I was sure wasn’t even normal elevator speed. When the door opened, Raech immediately suffocated him. Poor kid. We looked out the door and the place looked… Hot for lack of a better word. There was a long floating road that was over lava that led to a black mansion. Melena put an invisible force field over us and we began to walk. I was really tempted to jump in and swim just because I could survive. Two men in jumpsuits snuck up on us and hit the force field, alarming us. (BTW I was just thinking of this… Spikes can go through force fields but wind could redirect them) Melena turned one of their bodies into a black hole and the hole sucked in the other guy. “I realllly want to jump in and swim,” I said. “Concentrate, we are on a side mission,” Killua said. “I’m trying my best, but fire attracts me,” I said. “But lava isn’t fire,” Melena said. “But, its closer to fire than aero, tele, or electro kinesis,” I responded. We continued walking until we were to the front door, only getting attacked twice more in which Killua fried some people and Raech directed them right into the lava. They knew we were there so we decided not to use the front door. Our plan was simple, Raech would turn into a mouse (yeah I forgot about the transfiguration too XD) and go inside, distracting/scaring people. When we got the chance we would move to the roof and eliminate the guards on the other side of the house before making out way to the roof. Once on the roof Melena would make a portal that would take us inside, hopefully over Jade’s room. “Ready?” Raech asked. “Ready,” We all responded simultaneously. Before our very eyes, Raech started to change. She shrunk in size and grew four stubby paws and a pointed nose. The only thing still connecting Raech and her mouse form was her eyes. I’m terrified of mice so I told her to hurry before I pee on myself. She scurried under the door and I immediately heard screaming. We hurried around to the side where I took out a guard with a bowling ball made of fire to the head. When we got around to the back the groups of guards were heading towards the doors. Melena created an invisible box and I nonchalantly placed a red explosive stone inside of it. Raech made the box hover and Killua shocked it, making the rock and the guards explode (creative enough Taylor?). I was worried that the noise would alert people inside, but I remembered that Raech was in there distracting them. Like we planned, we each used our specific power to get to the roof. Once we were on the roof, I tried to read Raech’s mind to see where Jade was because she is supposed to find Jade. “Raech? Where are you?” I asked her“I’m running around upstairs looking for the right room,” Raech replied.“You caused a bit of ruckus there,” I said laughing“Haha, I finally got away from them,” She replied laughing as well.“We’re on the roof, so I’ll be waiting for your direction,” I said.“Alright, I think I’m getting pretty close,” she replied.We sat there and waited until I felt the air change outside. We knew at that moment, that Raech has found her and was waiting for us. Killua found the place where the wind was most… swirly and that’s where Melena created the portal. The drop into the room was farther than I thought.

“That was a long drop,” I said staring at the ceiling before noticing a horrifying sight. Jade’s was in Raech’s lap and Jade was unconscious and bleeding. Raech looked like she was terrified. “She isn’t breathing,” Raech screamed. “Ohmygod! Ohmygod! Ohmygod!” Killua and I yelled. Raech was on the verge of tears and Melena was the only one being calm. “Killua, stop running in circles and shock her,” Melena said. “Wait, What?” He asked. “Shock her to get her heart going again and Pyro is going to help me work on her wounds,” she explained. He hesitated but did as he was told. She was breathing again, but we knew it wouldn’t last long if we didn’t get to work. I created a hot needle for Melena who had to use mini force fields on her fingers so it wouldn’t burn and she got to work on her wounds. Jade had wounds on her face, chest, and arms. She started to sow the gashes and instructed me to seal the stitches with flames. We worked while Killua and Raech guarded for about 12 minutes before we were done. Then, we all just sat there as we waited to see if Jade would wake up. “How long do you think it will be till they realize were here,” Melena asked.“I don’t know, but she needs to wake up soon,” Raech said.“I could try to shock her again,” Killua suggested.“I’m afraid that her heart might stop again if you keep doing that,” I said.“If we had a bucket of water, we could dump it on her and see if she wakes up,” Melena said.“It’s too bad no one has the water element,” Killua said. We all nodded in agreement. “Wait… we could create a storm,” Raech said.“Yeah, if we want them to realize were here faster,” I said sarcastically.I suddenly got an idea; I decided to test something that could be dangerous. I went and sat down in the corner. I felt my consciousness being stripped from my body as my spirit was standing before me. I looked at my face. I looked like Taylor after science class, blank. I felt so… free. I got right to work and entered Jade’s consciousness. It was a dark place. “Jade!” I called out. “Yes?”I found her moving slowly towards the light at the end of a tunnel “Stop, Don’t go to the light.” I said.“I don’t have any other way out; I’m tired of lingering in the darkness. Wait how did you get here?”“I stripped my consciousness from my body and came to lead you out.”“Umm… okay so what is the way out?”Crap, we were surrounded by darkness. I actually really don’t know how I got in here.“Umm… follow me,” I said.

Chapter 15: Still The Saving

“What happened to Pyro?” Raech asked staring at me like I never really existed.“His consciousness has left his body, that’s why his face looks blank,” Melena started. “He went to save Jade,”“That sounds really dangerous,” Killua said.“It is, he could become trapped in there with Jade,” Melena said.“I hope he knows that he’s doing… for both of their sakes,” Raech said.

Back inside Jade’s Consciousness

We’ve been wandering around the darkness for what seemed like forever. I can see why she got lost; I’m starting to worry that we won’t get back to the real world.

“Do you know where we are?” Jade asked.“Truthfully no, but I got in so I have to be able to get out right?”“Uhhh… sure,” She said with a ting of doubt. “We can’t even see where we are going.”

“I can take care of that,” I said creating a flame to project light.The light helped a lot. We were standing in a very long corridor that had at least 500 doors. I then figured out how we would get out. “We have to find the right door,” I said.“There is like 500!” Jade replied.“That’s why we are left to choose the right one.”“How do we choose the right one?”“I have no idea,”I was starting to get weak, I could feel my image fading, if I took this much farther I would either die, or pass out. I don’t want to find out which one. Jade started to take notice.“Are you okay? You look a little… transparent,” She said.“I’m fine for now… we need to hurry though,” I replied.We started running door to door listening… I noticed that I could hear a low, creepy breathing behind every door. Spirits… I decided to pick a random door. I ran to door 348 with Jade following close behind. I barged in a found an orange hologram of myself.

Back in the real world (Melena’s small POV)

“What the…” Killua started“Melena? Why is Pyro turning orange,” Raech said.When I looked at Pyro, everything about him turned orange. His skin turned orange (no racist jokes XD) and his eyes had changed to an orange color. I really didn’t know how to explain it so I just said that.“I have no clue what’s going on with him,” I said.“I hope both of them are okay,” Raech said. “I’m surprised no one has found us yet,” Killua said.Killua had a point. It had been at least 30 minutes and no one had found us yet.

Again back in Jade’s Consciousness (and Pyro’s POV)

I stood there, staring at an orange version of myself. I looked like I belonged on the Jersey Shore, but I did like the eye color. When my hologram spoke it sounded like I hit puberty 10 times over.“Do you want to get out of here alive?” It asked us.“Of course we do,” Jade and I said simultaneously “I have a test for you, and if you pass, you will be allowed back into the regular world,” It said. Before we could respond, it continued, “Here is the test. You both must separate my laundry.”We both stared at him with an expression that says “…”“You’re kidding right?” Jade asked. “Well there is an official test, but I need my laundry done so were just going to let this slide,” He explained.

He waved his hands and suddenly we were in a room with white walls and all it had in it was a washer, a dryer, and a big pile of clothes. “Okay so you have one minute to separate all of my clothes. If you pass, you go home. If you fail, you both die,” he explained“Okay starting to see the complicated side because that’s a lot of clothes,” I said.“The test begins in 30 seconds. I need a white and a colored pile. If they are successfully sorted, you leave,” He said. “Position yourselves.”Jade and I ran to the big pile and we decided that I would go for the white clothes and she would go for the colored clothes. My hologram yelled go and we started sorting like there was no tomorrow. Jade generated something that would help her sort faster. There was no rule against it and as long as it helped I had no complaint. I never knew I was good at sorting clothes. Jade and I were done in 52 seconds and when we finished we yelled, “NOW WHAT!” laughing.“Okay, you have passed my test now get out,” He said waving his hands. I suddenly felt like air and then I was back in my body. Jade and I both shot to life. I rushed and pulled her up and shared a big group hug.“Oh my god what happened?” Raech said hugging us tighter.“Ummm… I would love to explain but I’m hearing voices and I predict that we have about 30 seconds before someone barges through that door and attacks us,” I said.That’s when I noticed that Jade still looked sick. She looked pale and unstable. “Jade lost a lot of blood, I don’t think she can fight,” Raech said, preventing Jade from falling. “We’ll fight, protect Jade,” Killua instructed Raech.Just as he said that, at least ten guards burst into the room. Raech pulled Jade to a dark corner and Killua, Melena, and I got in the position to fight. They didn’t immediately attack us like I expected, instead a larger, buff man with short brown hair and an earring in one ear stepped forward. “I am Cartank and none of you are leaving until I get the information I want,” Cartank said.“Excuse me sir, but we have a destination to reach so if you would just step aside,” I said.“I have a stone I need to obtain and no one is leaving until I get it,” Cartank said.“Are you talking about the stone or the directions to the stone,” Killua asked.“The latter,” Cartank replied.I was apparent no one was going to move until we gave up some info. I looked at Melena and she immediately knew what to do. She ran and tackled Cartank and I shot an explosive orange fireball (well that’s new) at the left and Killua shocked some people on the right. Melena was wrestling with Cartank but looked up for a second and said, “RUN!” We all burst into action. Raech scooped up Jade, threw her over her shoulder and started running with Killua and me closely following. Melena rolled over Cartank and started running behind us. If I hadn’t been so concerned with getting out alive I would have stopped and admired the walls, which were red with waffles on them, and the ceiling, which was like a battlefield. When we ran out of the room, we went to the left and ended up in a long corridor. We were following Raech because she knew where she was going. We ran down the corridor until we found some stairs that led us further down, hopefully towards a door. I was starting to feel tired, which isn’t usual because I haven’t even gone that far, but I kept pushing on. On the stairs we had a surprise waiting for us. Killua and I jumped ahead and took care of them while Melena took care of some of the enemies in pursuit of us. We kept going down a long flight of stairs. I shot a few fire bombs, still wondering about the orange flames. We managed to make it to the ground floor but then we were quickly surrounded. Raech started spinning at an abnormal speed and we were in a tornado,

then suddenly we were outside. It wasn’t long before people started pouring out the door and we started sprinting toward the elevator to take us back to normality. We were running as fast as our feet could take us and I was starting to fall towards the back of the line. I didn’t understand why I was so tired. People were starting to catch up with me. We were getting close to the elevator now but I was getting farther behind everyone. Everyone else was at the elevator and I was still kind of far away and the enemies were catching up to me. They screamed words of encouragement to me and I saw Jade pull out a rocket launcher. Raech yelled, “Duck!” before Jade fired. I rolled forward just in time, the missile barely missing me. I picked myself up and ran into the elevator and Melena pressed the button to lead us down. I was feeling really light headed. When we reached the lobby that’s when i felt my eyes grow heavy before everything went dark.

Chapter 16: A Break

Chapter 16: A Break

When I woke up, I was in a hospital. It was a bright morning and looked to be about 9 AM. I was confused. How long was I here and why?  The last things I remember was running into the elevator that led back down to the real world, or was that a dream? Was the whole Supapowa Brah Inc. a big dream? I was relieved when I heard Jade’s voice. “Someone is finally up,” She said with a smile.“Do you know what happened... however long ago?” I asked.“I don’t remember much, but you did save my life.”“You must have forgotten that you saved mine as well. By the way,  the rest of the team helped too.” “Well at least I know that we all care about each other.”I smiled at her. At that moment, Raech, Killua and Melena came in.“Good Morning you two,” All three of them said with a smile.“Good Morning,” We both replied, smiling back.“Killua must have been so scared last night alone,” Raech said smiling at Killua.“Raech, I’m going to throw you into a trash can,” Killua said.We all laughed. “What’s going on?” Jade asked. “Well last night you lost a lot of blood Jade and Pyro, you overexerted yourself by leaving your body as long as you did and then performing multiple vigorous actions,” Melena said.“Last night they did a blood transfusion on Jade and they injected a bunch of crap into your body,” Killua said. “Pyro after you were done, you were sleeping and we could have taken you to the hotel, but they insisted on keeping you overnight to be safe.” “We had a hard time trying to explain what happened to you guys,” Raech said.“Both of you are being discharged today,” Melena said.I let this sink in; it was starting to come back to me.  All the darkness, the running, the tiredness. Killua helped Jade up while Melena and Raech helped me up.  I actually felt amazing; almost like I did after the ceremony in VA.  They signed some papers and then we were allowed to leave.  After we got in the car Raech asked, “So what happened?” “Well I remember being in the car before.... wait, is this a new car?” Jade asked.

“Yes, continue,” Melena said.“I remember being in the car and then I was suddenly gone.  I woke up in the room we were in last night and I remember being scared and cold and hungry. I didn’t know what else to do so I just took a nap.  I woke up to Cartank barging in demanding information about the location of the nagh.  I was avoiding his questions when I heard Pyro in my head. We were having a conversation until Cartank started to abuse me and i felt my consciousness slipping.  I guess he just left me there because I found myself wandering in this dark place, so i’m assuming I was in a coma. It felt like forever and then Pyro showed up and guided me out.  That’s when we encountered a orange hologram of Pyro with a massively deep voice asking us to sort his laundry if we wanted to live,” Jade said.“That probably had something to do with why I have orange fire now,” I said.“That’s why you turned orange!” Killua said to me. “What?” I asked.“Everything about you turned orange, just like that hologram,” Killua explained.“Well you guys are out now and everything is as normal as it can get,” Raech said.Melena started the car and we drove to a hotel. “Shouldn’t we be moving closer to California?” I asked.“I think we all need a day of relaxation and rejuvenation, so we didn’t check out of the hotel this morning,” Killua said. “Luckily, this isn’t a time sensitive mission.” I shrugged and just walked inside. I realized that I was starving so I ordered breakfast from room service.  We just sat around for a while watching TV and talking. Around 2 we got lunch from subway because we were going to the park after and needed something healthy.  After subway we went to Arlee Park, which wasn’t too far from the hotel. We took a jog on the nature trail and since the park was deserted, we practiced on our flying abilities.  Jade couldn’t actually fly, so she pulled out a jetpack.  Killua wasn’t technically flying either but as long as he had electrical wires near, he could move through the air.  After a while of practicing that, we played a game of soccer in the field. Jade and Raech are excellent soccer player, Killua and I, not so much. Melena was the referee. Jade and I won against Killua and Raech, but it was a close game since Raech and Jade were so competitive.  Around 5, we went to the movie theater and saw a movie called “Party fest”.  It was about two teenagers who threw the best party ever while their parents were away, it was amazing.  After the movie we went to dinner at Olive Garden.  We went inside and we were seated. “Today was amazing fun, we definitely needed that break,” Raech said.“Yeah and I now know that Jade and Raech are competitive soccer players,” I said laughing“I know, Jade literally threw herself at me to get the ball,” Killua said.“When we get home, we should have another day like that,” Melena said.We all nodded in agreement, then the waitress came and took our orders and brought our salad and bread sticks.“The breadsticks and salad here are amazing,” I said.“Agreed,” Everyone else said.We ate in silence because it was just that good.  After we ate, we headed back to the hotel room. Once inside we decided to play a game.  We didn’t bring any board games but Killua brought cards, so we played BS.  We practically laughed the whole time.  We played for an hour before we went to our respective rooms and went to bed.  This was definitely a day I won’t forget and with that I closed my eyes.

Chapter 17: Back on track

In my dreamI was in my bed back home. I was confused because the mission isn't over yet. There was a pretty bad storm going on outside and it was 3:15. I got up and was surprised that Macy wasn’t at the foot of my bed like she usually is. I walked out of the door and knocked on Steve’s door.  No answer. I decided to just open the door and was confused that I didn’t find him. I walked over to Alicia’s door and knocked before coming in and not finding her in her room either.  A little scared and creeped out, I headed to my parents room and didn’t find them either.  I went downstairs only to find that it was dark and lifeless. I checked every room and the house was deserted.  By this time, I was pretty scared. I headed back downstairs and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror.  I was taken aback by my appearance. I was a little bit taller and I had a goatee.  I looked like I was about 18 or 19 years old. I heard something outside so I opened the front door and found the biggest battlefield I have ever seen.  Our house was in the middle of the field.  There was a war going on in the vicinity of my house. On my side, I recognized lots of people from SupaPowa Brah, including Jade, Raech, Killua, and Melena. On the opposing side, I recognized Cartank and his team and a man with close cut hair and light skin.  The thing that caught most of my attention was that behind the opposing side there was a stage where my parents and siblings were tied up. There was about 4 other families tied up which I assumed were the rest of my teams families. Everyone was standing still then all of a sudden Bob yelled, “ATTACK!” and everyone ran forward fighting in the rain.

Back to realityI woke with a start.  It was actually storming outside, really bad.  I looked at the clock. 4:25 AM. What is up with me waking up in the middle of the night all the time? The next line of lightning woke Killua up. “Was I sleep storming?” He asked.  I wasn’t sure if he was serious or not.“How is anyone going to get sleep when it’s all stormy?” I asked.We went out into the living room and turned on the light, waking Raech.“Was I sleep storming?” She asked. I still wasn’t sure if they are serious.Jade and Melena walked in looking deadly.“No one can sleep with all of this storming,” Jade said. “Can’t one of you turn it off?” Melena asked Raech and Killua.“We haven’t evolved enough to control storms,” Raech said.After she said that, the power went out.  I heard tons of stumbling but somehow a candle ended up in my hand and I lit it up.“Doesn’t this hotel have a generator?” I asked.Jeffrey was calling us and when he answered his face was in a panicked state.“Guys, you have to leave now!” He simply said.“Explain please,” Killua said.“You guys are in the midst of a hurricane that Branden created with the nagh... it can do anything,” Jeffrey said.“And Branden is?” Jade asked.“The leader of the SVMA,” He said. “The storm he created is taking over the whole west hemisphere of the world and you guys need to get there to stop him now!”“Okay so now this is a time sensitive mission,” Killua said.

“Branden’s Hideout/ lab are hidden at the Hollywood sign,” Jeffrey said. “I have faith in you guys. Good luck.” he said before signing off.We were done packing in five minutes and ran downstairs.  The storm was... BAD.  There were already lots of down trees and power lines and the wind was blowing at 200 mph. We eventually all made it to the car Killua started it up.“Okay, 19 hours. WE DON’T HAVE 19 HOURS,” I yelled.“Oh, don’t worry.  I got it under control,” Killua said in a questionable tone. “I can get us there in 4 hours... maybe 3 in a half.”He suddenly back up did a donut and peeled out of the parking lot.  We were on the highway in a minute. He was going the max speed of the car, which was 260 mph. The odds worked in his favor since the highway was deserted and there were no cops around. “You know, it is still raining!” Raech said. “You make a wrong move and we could spin out.”“I know what I’m doing,” Killua said focused on the road.I tried to fall asleep but I couldn’t, considering how fast we were going and how bad the storm was. After about three hours, we encountered a pretty huge flood. We started hydroplaning and we couldn’t see a clear way to the road. We started floating along, but Jade knew what to do. She waved her hands and suddenly I heard a motor. She turned the car into a hovercraft, (with Raech’s help) and suddenly we were back in action. Killua increased the speed immediately. The road was flooded for at least 10 miles before we found actually ground again, the car was changed back into a car and we continued on our journey. We were in Los Angeles about 30 minutes later. By now it was around 7:30 in the morning, but it was still dark outside due to the storm. We decided to park the car on the street below and hike our way up to the sign. It was still raining very badly.“THUNDERPITS!” Killua yelled.We stared at him blinking. “Sorry, thought it would lighten the mood since you can’t use your powers right now,” Killua explained.“You guys ready to face our biggest enemy?” Jade asked. We all nodded before getting out of the car. We started walking up Hollywood Hills.“I’ve always wanted to come here,” I said in awe.“Yeah, but I’m pretty sure you didn’t want to under these conditions,” Melena said.“Yeah, but were still here completely across the country and its cool,” Raech said.We continued hiking up until we saw guards around the fence. I didn’t realize that the Hollywood sign was guarded.“How do we get to the Hollywood sign if it’s guarded and how does Branden keep a hideout?” I asked.“There has to be an alternate way to get in,” Killua said.“The rain is so thick, maybe they won’t see us climb the gate,” Melena said.“This doesn’t make sense,” Jade said.“We have to think logically, like we did to save Jade,” I said.“I got nothin,” Killua said immediately.“Yeah, me neither,” I responded.“Uhhh… I have an idea,” Melena said.She faded and disappeared. I assumed that her telekinetic power could make her turn invisible. I suddenly saw the guards drop. The girls on our team have swag. She then dismantled the cameras and reappeared, telling us we could climb over the gate. I felt like we were in jail because we were in a gate and a bright light was beating down on us. We each walked around

the tall sign. We found no signs of a secret entrance. Melena made portals but they just lead us to the other side of the sign. Raech flew up trying to find secret entrances. All I could do was stand there due to all the rain. I walked around the back and pushed the bottom corner of the H and it revealed a small square of light.“I think I found something,” I said in an uneasy tone.Killua, Jade, and Melena bounded over as Raech descended and came over. We all stared at the square for about a minute before Melena stuck her finger in it. She was sucked into the tiny square of whole light.“Ummm…,” I said.“AWESOME!!” Killua yelled before doing the same thing Melena did and being sucked in.“That may be the way in,” Raech said and she followed in their footsteps. Jade and I looked at each other and shrugged before sticking our fingers in the square.

Chapter 19: The fight

My spirit was pulled from my body and it went in one tube as my body went into another. I was the only one that would understand what happened. When I reached the bottom of the tube my body was standing and my spirit followed close behind, going back inside of my body. We were in a room with orange walls and a carpeted floor. The walls were filled with paintings and pictures of who I assumed were Branden. “Is this the hideout?” Jade asked.“Yes, I can sense the presence of evil,” I said.We walked over to the door and Killua opened it, peeking around the corners before ushering for us to follow him. We walked out of the room and went down a hall and turned to the left. We ran down some more until we heard voices. We went to the end of that hall and peeked around the corner. There were two guards coming. Melena and I got up against the wall. When they turned the corner, before they could react, Melena and I stabbed each of the guards with our knives. One of them was still alive, so Raech suffocated him. Melena disposed the bodies into a black hole and we checked around the corner once more before continuing. We went left, and then right, then two lefts, and three rights, then we encountered big double doors. I went up to the door and listened. I heard voices and I could tell that Branden was inside by the things that were in his mind. Mind powers do come in handy. “Ready?” I asked. “Ready,” They all responded.With that clarification, we burst through the doors and stood in a line posing in a super epic team type way. I was in the middle. Raech and Killua were to my left, and Melena and Jade were to my right. Branden was the same guy that was alongside Cartank in my dream. The place looked incredible inside. The ceiling was about 100 feet above our head and the walls were made out of metal. About every 20 feet was a glass case full of something. Some had awards, some had heads (I hope those aren’t real), and one was full of pictures of a dog. Along the floor line was a bunch of controls and in the smack middle was a circular control panel where he was now standing, staring at us. I could see that he was shocked, and I could also see that in the middle of his control panel was the nagh. It was a dissymmetrical stone with jagged edges that glowed different colors. On either side of the control panel were 3 guards.“Well, well, well… You must be Supapowa Brah’s new supers,” He said in a snake like voice. “Allow me to introduce myself. I am Branden Plinchen, creator of the SVMA.”

“Well, well, well if it isn’t Branden, our arch rival,” Melena said.We all stared at her. “What? I always wanted to say that,” She said.“Pyro, please have your members pay attention,” He said.My members? And how did he know who I was? “They aren’t my members, actually were a team and were Jeffrey’s members,” I said sounding less confident than I had hoped.“Ahhh Jeffrey, How is he doing?” Branden asked as if he was really interested.“This isn’t twenty questions!” Killua screeched, “Were here for the nagh and then we’ll be on our way.”He actually sounded confident when trying to be.“I know what y’all are here for, but I’m not going to willingly give it up,” Branden said.I was tired of this guy and the games he was trying to pull.“Charge!” I yelled and that’s exactly what we did. Suddenly there were lots of guards separating us from Branden and the nagh. I shot some fireballs and did a few flips. Before I knew it we were in the glass case (which was pretty roomy) 40 feet above the ground.“How the heck did this happen,” Killua asked in a surprised tone.“Well, we burst through, played twenty questions, started fighting and ended up in here all within four minutes,” Jade said.“It seems that Jeffrey and his team of losers haven’t trained you enough,” Branden yelled up at us.I was pretty calm, but something about Branden and the way he was constantly bagging on Jeffrey was really getting on my nerves. Melena tried to kick the glass. No use. We all decided to kick at the same time. Still no use. Killua tried shocking it, I tried explosive fireballs, Jade tried a rocket launcher while Melena protected us, and Melena tried a portal. None of which worked.“The glass is a mix of bullet resistant, optical, and laminated safety glass,” Branden started. “It’s practically indestructible.”I tried to enter Branden’s mind and alter his intentions but it wasn’t working. Quite frankly I wasn’t sure who we were up against. He seemed like a superhuman, but this may have just been because of the nagh. I was planning on trying to get one of guards to open it, but they left before I could have the chance. We tried to break the glass for at least an hour, but after that we gave up. We sat there feeling defeated. After we finished trying to escape, Branden left. No one had come back in since.“I feel like a failure,” Raech said.“We haven’t failed yet,” I said. “He has to let us out some time doesn’t he?” “I don’t think he’s going to let us go,” Melena said.“I have a plan,” I whispered.“Let’s hear it, and why are you whispering” Killua asked.“I can’t say it out loud, I’m sure were being monitored,” I whispered back. “I’ll tell you all through mind messages.” I looked at all of them and relayed the message telepathically. They all nodded in approval.“So what now?” Jade asked.“Hugs!!” I yelled. We all got up and hugged each other individually. I hugged Jade, Raech, and Melena and then we had a huge group hugs (like all the hugs Arleeeh).Branden came back and brought us Hardee’s breakfast before leaving again.“At least he’s feeding us,” I said.

“HARRDDDEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!” Melena malfunctioned. “I love Hardees” she said. We ate in silence and after started playing I-spy. Raech started us off.“I spy with my little eye… something red,” She said.“My eyes,” I said.“Ketchup,” Killua said.“The shirt hanging on the wall,” Killua said.“Killua, you were right,” Raech said.We played a few more rounds of that before Jade summoned some playing cards so we could play more BS. I silently waited for my opportunity that didn’t come. Even though I couldn’t penetrate Branden’s mind, I could still read it. He knew of my plans; I don’t know how but he did. He was purposely not sending anyone in here. I started thinking of new plans on my own. Suddenly I remembered something that I learned in chemistry. I realized that we couldn’t break it individually, but we had to work together.“New plan,” I said. “We need to work together.”“We tried… EVERYTHING!” Melena said. “Raech, Killua, and I can break us out of here,” I said, ignoring her.“Explain?” Killua asked.“Okay, so first Killua and I have to super heat the glass and then Raech has to super cool it, the change in temperature should either crack it or make it easier to crack,” I said. “This is some super hybrid glass, so we have to put in a lot of effort into it. The fire will melt the plastic in the optical glass and the air will crack the glass.”They all nodded. Killua sent a striking lightning string into the glass as my body covered itself with fire used my flamethrower ability to shoot fire at the glass. I kept increasing the temperature and I got up to 1500 kelvin (2240 Fahrenheit). Killua’s lightning bolt started changing to a red color. Melena, Jade, and Raech started sweating even through Melena’s force field. We stayed like this for about 30 seconds before we stopped. Immediately, Raech ran forward and started moving her hands, immediately the temperature dropped… a lot. The temperature was about -678 degrees. The sweat had dried up, but now it was obviously extremely cold. I used my powers to heat my body up to normal temperature. Eventually a long crack formed in the glass. I started to feel weak again, along with Killua and Raech. Melena put her hand on my chest and I felt a force go through my body. I felt as if everything was rejuvenated… well, it was. “Why didn’t you do that before?” I asked.She just shrugged. Jade ran up to the glass and kicked it, breaking it this time. We jumped out and landed on our feet like bosses.“I’m so glad I paid attention that day in Chemistry,” I said. Feeling like a boss, I ran up to the nagh, but was shocked as I tried to grab it.“Owww!” I screeched. It hurt a lot worse than when Killua shocked me.“It has a field around it. You have to put in the code to disengage it,” Killua explained.“I wish I had known that 10 second ago!” I yelled grabbing my burning hand.Jade went and started typing away on the computer. I don’t know when she became a techno geek, but she seemed to know what she was doing.“What are you doing?” Raech asked.“I’m hacking the systems network so we can disengage the protection mechanism on the nagh,” She explained.When she said that, 15 of Branden’s guards burst in and the four of us remaining sprang into action. I ran to one and vaulted over him before kicking him in the back and throwing a knife

into his throat. Raech was sending 3 of them into the air and letting them drop. Time was slowing down and speeding up as Killua kept jumping into the air and kicking people in slow motion (I swear he loves that). Jade would summon swords and guns and gangster like items, taking out some in between her typing. Melena was basically creating a force in people’s body and expanding it until they exploded. We easily took them out, but I knew that Branden would be back here soon. We ran over to the computer where Jade was and watched. Her hands were moving very rapidly. We were encouraging her when behind us we heard, “Well, it looks like Jeffrey’s monkeys got out of the glass.”It was Branden. We all slowly turned. He was giving us a death glare. That glass was probably expensive to make.“It’s five to one; do you really think you can win?” I asked.“I don’t have to try,” He said.30 more guards popped up out of the blue. “Seriously how does he do that?” I asked going into action. I took out five people before I looked and noticed that the nagh and Branden were gone.

Chapter 20: The final fight

Everybody else noticed at the same time. “Go!” Jade yelled. “Melena and I will stay here and fight.”Killua, Raech, and I looked at each other before vaulting over others and running out the door. Luckily, Killua remembered the way out. We didn’t know how to get out though. I kicked the wall out of frustration.“Wait, we reformed out of that vent,” Raech said pointing to the vent above my head. “All we have to do is touch the vent just like we touched the square to get in.”“Are you sure?” Killua asked.“No, but y’all don’t have any better ideas,” Raech said.“She’s got a point,” I said.Killua shrugged and then Raech flew up there and touched her finger to the vent and she was sucked up.“Okay it works,” I said.Killua nodded before springing up electrically. I followed suit and flew and touched the vent and I went on the adventure of being pulled apart and put back together again. We were back in the rain again and that meant I couldn’t use my powers. Raech flew to the top of the Hollywood sign and searched for Branden. She found moving running in the hills behind the sign. “This way,” She said.We ran in the direction that Branden was going. We were going over the Hollywood Hills and soon we would be at the beach that connects California with Asia. I couldn’t do much but run. I wasn’t sure if he knew we were behind him but he didn’t stop running. Suddenly he turned around and shot a line of water at us, Killua shocked the water and Raech used the air to redirect it back at him. Now I knew why he was using storms to destroy the world. He possesses the Water element. He just became my weakness. He was impaled with the water and I could hear groans, telling me that he was hurt. I still had training in hand to hand combat, so I ran up to him and attempted to punch him. He dodged it and attempted to kick me. I rolled out of the way and tripped him. Raech then appeared over him and threw him into a hill. He dropped the nagh and Raech used air to pull it toward her.“Stop the storm,” Raech yelled at the nagh.We waited but nothing happened. Branden was starting to get up but Killua shocked him,

paralyzing him for a minute or two.“I recall Jeffrey said something about talking to it in either Klingon or Latin,” Killua said.“Mevyap sis,” Raech said.The rain slowed to a very light drizzle. We stared at her in astonishment.“When did you learn Klingon,” I asked.“I never did, it kind of naturally came out of me,” Raech replied.“It must have come with our powers, the knowledge of Klingon and possibly Latin,” Killua said.The light rain meant I could use my power again, to an extent. I quickly coated my body with fire, but it was doused by a water wall hitting me. I felt like I was in the ocean. When I finally got to my feet, Branden was standing there again with the nagh. He started saying something and before he could finish I flew over to him and made a ring of fire around him. I ran through the fire and tackled him to the ground. He flung the nagh somewhere. I punched him in his face multiple times before he kicked me, knocking me off of him. Killua sent electricity into his body causing him to stumble back and Raech created a tornado around him and I sprinted to find the nagh. I ran over a hill and Branden came up behind me and tackled me, we fumbled over each other trying to reach it. Raech flipped over the hill and grabbed him by one arm as Killua grabbed the other one. I started walking over to the stone, and then he became water dissolving to the ground and reformed with the stone in his hands. Raech, Killua, and I sprinted towards him and he put a water wall up in front of him. I tried to walk through it but it was a solid wall. Killua tried shocking it, but that didn’t work. Raech attempted to move the water with air, but that didn’t work either. Suddenly I looked up and there was a black dot in the sky and I noticed that it was getting closer. It smashed into Branden, breaking the wall. I looked and noticed that it was Melena and Jade. I looked back over the hill and noticed that a large group of people were running toward us.Jade quickly turned to us and said with a guilty smirk, “We kind of brought some trouble along with us.”Melena ran up to Branden and started sword fighting with him. The rest of us ran back up the hill and started fighting the group head on. I flipped a few guys and stabbed them. Raech flung one guy into the air, I flew, grabbed him, and kicked him down, and then Killua slowed time and kicked him in the face. Jade then ran up to him and hit him with the butt of her rocket launcher (she really loved that thing). I shot some explosive fire at some people. I looked back at Melena and she was still fighting with Branden. I heard someone yell, “Thunder Pits!” before seeing a flash of light. That had to be Killua. I then heard a growl. I turned and found myself faced with a tiger. He has tigers too, I thought to myself.“Uhhh… Nice kitty?” I said in a question like tone.He bared his teeth and was about to pounce, but then I heard a roar and a lion ran and stood in front of me. The lion turned and looked at me and I could see the stormy gray eyes that belonged to Raech. Raech roared again and pounced, starting a full-fledged fight with the tiger. I would have to thank her later. I ran over to Melena, who looked like she was getting tired and created a fire sword before charging at Branden. Now it was 3 swords against one. I used what I learned in sword practice. I parried Branden’s attack before I sliced his shoulder. He groaned and Melena and I crossed our swords attempting to attack in three places but he put his sword up to protect himself. He kicked me in my stomach sending me flying and he punched Melena, she hopped up and picked me up using telekinesis“Go,” she said to me. “I got this.”I nodded my head and ran back up the hill yet again. I flipped over Jade, who was crawling and

stabbed one of the guards. I heard a growl behind me and looked at Raech who hopped on the tiger and bit its neck, killing it. She then took off and started mauling people. I heard screams and snickered as I ran to my next target. I flipped him and hit him dead in his Adams apple, causing him to choke. I heard a scream and saw Melena on the ground. Branden said something and suddenly all of my friends were tied up. Branden came up the hill and stood there. I wondered why he didn’t tie me up, and then I realized that it was because he could beat me. He simply said, “Get him,” Before all of the guards ran toward me. The front line hit some solid invisible force. Melena had put up a force field to protect me. I turned and faced Branden who was smirking at me. I knew this would fail but decided to try shooting a line of fire at him. He shot water to douse the flames before they were even close to him. I sighed and flew over to him. He shot what felt like another ocean towards me and I hit the ground hard. I just had to get close enough and I could harm him. I got up and faced him. He stared at me as if he were sizing me up. I spread me hands as far away as I could and yelled, “vocare Draco (summon the dragon).” Suddenly a 1 foot baby dragon with hair appeared, made out of fire. “I seriously didn’t think that would work,” I said specifically to no one.I picked up my dragon and looked at him saying, “Get him.”The dragon flew fast towards him and bit Branden’s leg, burning it. Tyson shot fire at Braden, but Branden rolled out of the way and shot water at him. The dragon was doused thanks to his water. I got angry that he hurt my dragon and caused him to disappear and my eyes became a deadly dark red. I looked back at Killua and he looked just as angry as I did. He didn’t like it when people hurt any type of animal, even if it wasn’t physically real. Branden was staring at the burn that the dragon put in his leg. I had a plan. It was a pretty difficult one that would require energy, but on this trip, I discovered I could do almost anything when I was upset or angry. I flew up in the air and faced the crowd of Branden’s guards. I looked at all of them, my eyes glowing red. Everyone else looked at my eyes and theirs turned red as well. They were under my control, I could already feel my grip on their minds slipping away, so I quickly yelled, “Get Branden, but don’t kill him.”Melena put down the force field and they all charged for him. I ran and untied all of them. I looked back over the hill and we all walked towards the crowd. As I approached the back they made a path for me and when they spread, creating a path in the middle, I saw that two of his guards had Branden with his arms behind his back. I walked up to him and he glared at me. I snatched the nagh from his hand and said, “Melena?” She approached him and created a black hole saying, “Throw him in.”The guards promptly threw him in. “Where is he going?” I said.“Someone into the time pockets of space. He can’t escape and he will die.” Melena said.“So…Uhhh… what are we going to do when they get from under your control?” Raech asked.“Like this,” I said. I faced the crowd and said, “You have been fired form SVMA and you are to go home and get a regular job.”They all nodded their heads and I broke the connection. All of them started walking away as if they weren’t sure of their surroundings. I just stood there staring down from the hill. The rain had stopped and it was windy outside. I looked at my watch and it was only 2:15 PM. “Our mission is complete,” Jade said excitedly looking down the hill.“We still have to get it back to the headquarters,” Killua said.“There’s no telling how many problems we may have getting back,” I said.As if suddenly that sparked something else, I heard someone yell, “There they are!” We turned and found people in suits coming towards us.

“Really? What’s next?” Jade asked.“Run,” Melena said without looking at any of us.We started sprinting in the other direction towards the car. We were running down lots of hills. I was faster than everyone else, but Jade was a close second. Eventually Raech started flying all of us followed suit. When we got to the bottom of Hollywood Hill we started running so we wouldn’t freak anyone out. Everyone started coming back outside since the hurricane was over. We didn’t stop running until we reached the car. Killua jumped into the driver’s seat and immediately did a donut and drove in the other direction towards home. By the time we got on the highway, I saw a gang of cars behind us. They were in hot pursuit of us and we were still trying to breathe and fathom what was going on. Once we finally processed what was going on. I leaned out of the window and started shooting orange fireballs. Jade leaned out of the other window and shot a few rockets. We were also being followed from the sky, so Raech stirred up the wind patterns a little, causing them all to crash. Melena chucked one of her swords out of the window which bounced off of one of them and came back to her like a boomerang.

Chapter 21: Heading homeEventually we destroyed all of the things that were following us, but Killua didn’t slow down. He kept speeding until it was nine o’clock at night. We were in the Clovis hotel in New Mexico. We hadn’t spoken since we got in the car and we still didn’t talk until we reached our hotel suite.“What the heck was all of that?” Killua asked.“Another organization that seemed to be after the nagh,” Raech said.“They looked like the CIA or the FBI,” Melena commented.“No, it wasn’t either of them. Uhhh I know that they look like. ,” He said looking around as if he was uncomfortable.We stared at him before I said, “Let’s just get some sleep and get on the road tomorrow,” I said.“We should probably eat first,” Jade said.My stomach growled. She was right. I realized that we hadn’t eaten since this morning. We ordered room service and it was there in a matter of minutes. After we were done eating, Killua and I went to our side of the room. We had decided that it would be safest if Melena were guarding it. I drifted into a deep sleep soon after hitting my pillow. I was awoken by the sound of a stumble. I shot up quickly and listened, normally I would think that someone was up getting a snack, but as I entered all of my friends’ minds, all of them were having dreams. I got up and opened the door, peeking out of it. I noticed a man was walking through the living room, looking for something. I looked back at Killua, who was still sleeping. There was an intruder in our hotel room. I moved into the living room quietly. The person was looking under the TV. “So, what’s going on here,” I said, flicking the light on.The man quickly looked up. He had on a spandex suit that had an R with a circle around it in the corner. He looked at me before forming a boulder and throwing it at me. I rolled out of the way and flipped over the couch, kicking him in the face. Four more people jumped into the window and I slapped one before kicking another. One grabbed me and threw me over the couch and I crashed into a glass vase. I rolled and wiped the stray glass off of me before standing up. One of them kicked me in my side. He stepped on my chest and he lifted his hands. I could feel the air being sucked out of the room and I was starting to lose my breath. Just when I felt like I couldn’t hold on anymore, Killua busted into the room and shocked the guy standing on my chest. He fell back and I got up.“It’s about time you woke up,” I said.“I’m surprised you did,” he countered.

I shrugged and then went back into action. Killua and I hopped over the couch and I grabbed one the guys and slapped him into the wall. I tossed him towards Killua who grabbed him and shocked him, sending 5000 volts through his body. Somehow the guy didn’t die, he just dropped. Melena, Jade, and Raech ran in and immediately jumped into the actions. I heard Raech snarl at someone, Jade was shooting something and Melena was sword fighting. I kicked one guy out of the window, breaking it. I turned to them and said, “We have to leave now.”Raech nodded before moving her hands around. She was packing bags for us with air. I jumped out of the window and opened the trunk. A few seconds later the bags flew into the trunk. I ran to the driver’s seat and started the car. My friends jumped out shortly after and I pulled out of the parking lot. I drove as fast as I could on the street, but when I got to the highway I was close to 300 mph. They didn’t seem to follow us, but I wasn’t taking chances.“Melena, do you have the nagh?” Raech asked looking back at her.“Yeah, and I got some of the hotel pillows,” She said with a smile.“They were so comfy,” Jade said.“They were,” We all agreed.“How many people are after this thing?” Melena asked.“So far there have been 3 groups, 1 of which we terminated,” I said.“This thing must be really important,” Jade commented.“Well it is the most powerful weapon in the world,” Killua said.“Do you guys think we could get back home with the nagh?” He added.“Probably, but that messes up the story line and rushes the ending,” I said (;“So where are we stopping tonight?” Jade asked.“I don’t think we can stop, every time we do we get attacked,” Raech said.“We’ll drive in shifts until we get back then,” I said.“But if we keep driving at this speed, we’ll be there in less than 6 hours,” I added.The sun started to rise and traffic started forming so we transformed the car into flying car mode, so I put the car into auto pilot and went to sleep, along with everyone else. I was awoken by a beeping noise coming from the car. When I looked at the panel above the monitor, I saw that there was something in our vicinity. I looked out of the rear view mirror and surely there was a missile coming towards the car. I quickly pressed the auto pilot off button and jerked the wheel downward to avoid it. It went past the car, but looped back around. I turned the car right before flying up. By this time, everybody else was awake and aware of the current situation. I was dodging it left and right, listening as everyone tried to direct me which way to go.“Those are heat seeking missiles,” Jade said. “I can tell by the four dots around the main point.”I jerked down again as it went over the car and looped back around. I mounted the machine gun and started shooting it towards the missile. It exploded and just in time Melena put a force field around the car as the fire hit it. I looked behind me and there were three more coming our way. I wasn’t sure what the source was, but I knew they were after the nagh.“Make that 4 groups after it,” Melena yelled.I had an idea. Raech saw my face and knew what I was going to do. “NO!” she yelled.“Why? I’m fire resistant. Obviously it won’t hurt me,” I said.Before she had a chance to respond I had opened the door and jumped out, going into flying mode. I moved toward the missiles and two of them followed me, the last one going toward the car. I wasn’t worried because I was sure my friends could take care of it. I started flying fast, the missiles close behind. I was looking for the source that the missiles came from. I didn’t know I could fly this fast, but it felt amazing. I opened my mind to see if I could hear any thoughts close

by. The only ones I did hear were my friends. I searched my mind and heard faint sounds coming from above. I flew up and of course the missiles followed. I flew above the clouds and immediately spotted the spies that were following us. I flew towards them and when they realized I was coming towards them with a missile behind me, their faces were funny. I flew right through the window and into the back and the missile crashing into the vehicle, causing it to explode. Now I was just falling because the plane exploded to pieces. I used my mind powers to locate my friends and they were a little surprised when I knocked on the window, so they could let me in. I hopped into the back with Jade and Melena and Raech speeded back up to our top speed.“We need to get to Supapowa Brah soon,” Melena said. “We can’t just fly there, and land, were being followed by many obviously,” I said.“I can turn us invisible when we have two hours left,” Melena said.I knew that would take a lot of her energy. “Do it when we get about an hour away,” Killua said.I nodded and she just said, “Okay.”We flew in peace for about two more hours, which meant it was time for Melena to turn us invisible. She lifted her hands and touched the side of the car; suddenly all of us were invisible. Her powers have grown a lot. I was pretty sure that eventually she would be able to turn things invisible without even touching us. It felt really weird being invisible and I kept playing with my invisible fingers. I realized that we were almost home and were about to see the one’s we hadn’t seen in 8 days. “We were only gone for eight days,” I said.“NO, we’ve been gone for like three weeks,” Killua countered.“Actually, if you count the days, he’s right.” Raech corrected.We descended and Melena used her keycard to get the garage open and we drove in, not becoming uninvisible (I don’t care if it isn’t a word) until we were parked. We got out and got our suitcases, moving inside quickly. We went inside and scared the crap out of Jeffrey. After he got over his shock, he hugged us… tight.“I was starting to worry that you guys wouldn’t come back when you didn’t answer,” he said.“When did you call?” Melena asked.“A lot for the past two days,” he said.“The car must be messing up,” Killua said.“Everyone will be so happy to see you,” Jeffrey said.We followed Jeffrey into the hang out room and got many cheers when people saw us. Some got up and cheered and some came up to hug us. Melena raised up the nagh, receiving bigger cheers, some coming from Jeffrey. I was glad to be home.

Chapter 22: It’s not over yet

We followed Jeffrey back into a room, which I had never seen before. It had a safe in it. The safe required a password, then he had to rotate the lock like a school locker and then finally he had to scan his key card before it opened. We walked in after him and were encountered by a room a lot bigger than the building. I was assuming it was a compressed room. In the room was 2,597 doors leading to rooms. “Each door in here has a different combination,” Jeffrey said.“Isn’t that a lot to remember,” Killua asked.“That’s why I have a notepad in door 257 that is also in a safe so that’s the only one I have to remember,” Jeffrey said.

“What if you forget the combination to door 257?” I asked.“We have a procedure for that specific door in case that happens,” Jeffrey said.I shrugged as Jeffrey got a ladder and climbed until he got to door 1,563. He entered a combination and scanned his keycard before the door opened. A platform protruded from the door and we all stepped up and walked in. In that room there was 10 doors and Jeffrey walked to door 7 and scanned his keycard. When we went inside there was a case, where Jeffrey had to put in a letter password, number password, locker combination and scan his keycard. The case opened and he placed the nagh in the case before closing it.“Back where it belongs,” He said with a smile.“Why did you bring us in here?” Raech asked.“You guys saved it, and the world, you deserve to know where it is,” Jeffrey responded.We walked back down to the actually headquarters and went into the conference room. We all sat down around the table and Tasha came in, handing us all red folders. Inside was what looked like a report.“This is the report for your trip,” Jeffrey said.We all stared at him, so he continued. “This shows you how long you were gone, what you retrieved, things that you guys could improve on, and even what you are good at,” He said.“Wait, the tracking devices showed what goes on?” Melena asked.“Yes, we have a team that monitors all of you. We couldn’t get as much for Jade since Cartank destroyed her device,” Jeffrey said.I looked in my folder. Under Needs to improve, Jeffrey wrote, Improve on finding loop holes around your weakness, also I am sending you on a separate journey, soon.I almost lit the folder on fire. “You’re sending me on a journey alone?” I asked.“Yes, you need to expand your abilities, and you need to do it alone, because I see you as the leader and therefore, you need to be better prepared,” Jeffrey said. “But, we’ll talk about that later.”“You will all be rewarded for your loyalty and good job,” Jeffrey added.He walked over to the table and asked, “What do you all desire?”Killua spoke first saying, “I want an all access pass to all the restricted areas and countries.”Jeffrey stared at him, but agreed. Melena asked for double sided light sabers instead of swords. Arlee asked for hugs, and Raech asked for a Hellhound. Jeffrey agreed to all of the terms and Jeffrey said something into the walkie talkie about a hellhound. Suddenly a baby hellhound bounded into the room and ran straight to Raech. She picked it up saying, “Awwww, how cute,” Raech said. Jeffrey looked at me and said, “I already know what you want.” Suddenly a baby dragon that looked just like the one out of fire peered around Jeffrey’s leg. It ran over to me and I picked it up, it looked at me and snuggled into my chest. “I’m going to name you Tyson,” I said smiling as he licked my chin.He put him down and Erebus started running around very fast as Tyson started flying after him. We all laughed as they started playing. We all pulled into a huge group hug since that was Jade’s request.Tasha came in and gave Raech and I all the things we would need to take care of our new pets. She gave us fire resistant spray, a big food bowl, live animals, and a water container. The only thing I had to do now was figure out how I would take care of Tyson without my parents finding out. Before I could get too deep in thought, Jamiehh, Bob, Zeek, and Marie came in and congratulated us and said our training would continue. Zeek immediately ran to Melena and hugged her. He then cleared his throat and asked, “Umm… would you like to go out on a date

with me tonight?”“Sure,” She said blushing.All of girls in the room awed, while Killua, Jeffrey, and I just stared at each other.“So, I guess we can home now, I have to get ready for my date tonight,” She said beaming.“Actually, you can’t go home yet,” Jeffrey said.“Okay, so just do whatever else you need to do, then we can go,” Raech said.“Yeah I mean you guys aren’t going home for like two weeks,” Jeffrey said.

Chapter 23: Say What

“TWO WEEKS!” We all yelled simultaneously.“Yes, two weeks,” Jeffrey said like it was nothing.“But, why?” I asked.“Look, I understand you want to go home, but there are multiple people and organizations going after this stone. You guys encountered 3 in just one day! They are still looking for us and if you guys leave now, you’re going to be in danger, so just hang out her for two weeks,” Jeffrey explained.“Were going to go mad!” Jade yelled.“And what about my date?” Melena added.“You’re date can take place her, we have a restaurant in one of those doors,” Jeffrey said. “We have amusement parks, parks, movie theaters and other attractions behind others. You’ll be fine”“Wait; there are actual things behind those doors?” I asked.“Yes, I’ll give you guys a listing of the doors later,” Jeffrey said. “Now let me direct you to your rooms.”Again, we followed Jeffrey until we were in a compartment labeled Rooming. We walked up some steps and we were on floor 9. I discovered then that everyone that worked at Supapowa Brah lived there, or most of them anyways. My room was room 923. Killua’s was 922, Jade’s was 924, Raech’s was 921 and Melena’s was 925. I walked into my room with Tyson. It was a room with red indestructible glass, made specifically for me. It was carpeted and had a bed, with a 55 inch flat screen TV mounted on the wall. I had my own separate bathroom and I also had a desk. It also had an intercom that I could use to contact anyone in the whole building, which seemed endless to me now. It wasn’t huge, but it was amazing. I put Tyson down and let him run around, while I sat out his bed, and his food bowl. I called him and he just looked at me. I guess I’ll be watching How to train your dragon later. Jeffrey came in and asked me if everything was okay with the room. I told him yes, but asked him if he could bring me a copy of the movie. He nodded and left. I picked Tyson up and put him in front of the food bowl. I got a mouse out of the terrarium in the room and put it in the bowl. Tyson quickly devoured it, chasing his tail after. I laughed at his enthusiasm. It was around 1:30 in the afternoon, so I knocked on my friends doors and we went down to the cafeteria for lunch. I got another Philly cheesesteak with a mountain dew and fries. We just sat there and talked about our plans, since we were stuck there for two weeks. We decided on meeting at the park at 4:30 to play soccer. I went back up to my room and was surprised that Tyson didn’t tear anything up. I found two papers on my desk; one said Schedule on the top and the other said Door listing, which was thankfully labeled alphabetically. I looked for park and found that it was door number 345. I looked at what was my schedule. From eleven to twelve, I trained with Jamiehh. From twelve to one, I trained with Bob. From one to one thirty was lunch. From one thirty to two thirty, I trained with Marie, and

from two thirty to three thirty, I trained with Zeek. Jeffrey added as a little note that from three thirty to four, I would be training Tyson, which I didn’t have a problem with. After that we were free to do anything. I sat on my bed, which was very comfy, and laid there. Someone then knocked on the door. “Come in,” I said.It was Jeffrey. He handed me How to train you dragon before asking, “So did you get everything?”“Yeah, were planning on going to the park at 4:30,” I responded.“Good, you guys will see that it will be fun here,” He said before walking out, closing the door behind him.I just laid there until it was four thirty. I threw another mouse in Tyson’s bowl and he pounced on it as I walked out. I was laughing as I closed the door behind me.“What are you laughing at?” Killua said as he came out of his room seeing me laughing.“Tyson pounced on a mouse,” I responded.“Ahhh… Fun…,” He said in a sarcastic tone, staring at me.“Yup,” I said before banging on Raech’s door. I heard a muffled, “Come in,” so I opened it and was immediately covered in fire. It was Erebus, luckily I was fire resistant. “Why does someone with the air element have a hellhound?” I asked.“Because I like hellhounds,” She responded.“He should get along with me, since I have the fire element” I said attempting to pet him. He growled at me a little.“Erebus, be nice,” She said to him. “Pyro and Killua are good and on our side.”After she said that, he let me pet him. “We should bring our pets so they can play,” She said.“Okay, the small park doesn’t have woods for them to get lost in so that sounds good,” I said, unlocking my door and putting a leash on Tyson. By the time Raech and I reached the highway again, Jade and Melena were there. We left the rooming area and walked down the hallway until we found the door with the safe. We put in all the passwords and combinations (which were on the paper) and made our way to door 345. After it was opened we walked in and shut the door. It was like an alternate universe. It was a small park with a playground and a field for soccer. Beyond that was green fields for miles, but we couldn’t walk into those boundaries. We set Tyson and Erebus down so they could go play and we split up into teams. It was Jade and I against Raech and Killua, while Melena was the universal goalie. I put the ball in the middle and tapped it over the line, before passing it to Jade. She ran down the field before passing it to me. I attempted to kick it, but Raech stole it and took it the other way. Melena used a portal to get to the other goal. Raech passed the ball to Killua, who kicked the ball in the air in slow motion before jumping and kicking it, full speed at Melena, who blocked it. Jade and I had the ball again. She ran to the other end of the field and I kicked it, full speed. She jumped and did a bicycle kick making it in the back of the net. Killua kicked the ball towards Raech, but Erebus hit it and Tyson set it on fire.“Where there goes the ball,” I said.“They must have thought it was fetch,” Melena said.We all just went to the playground and sat there while our pets played in the mulch. Jade summoned a Rat and a deer and sent both across the field. Erebus bounded after the deer and Tyson flew after the rat.“So, you guys know that Pyro and I technically won right,” Jade said, giving me a high five.

“It was interference, so no one wins,” Raech said.“Whatever,” I said smirking.Melena and I started swinging, while Raech and Jade were talking about sea monkeys and Killua was playing with the animals. At 6 o’clock we went back into the building and got ready for dinner. We went down to the conference room and Jeffrey was waiting for us with Tasha. He said the food would be ready soon. Melena was the only one not there because she was with Zeek on her date in room 564“We should have a movie night,” Jade suggested.“Okay, What movie?” Killua asked.“How to Train Your Dragon,” I said.No one objected to it, so after dinner we got some snacks, and the four of us piled into the movie room behind door 253 with our animals and started to watch the movie. It was amazing with four people being in an empty theater. I ran up and down the aisles with Killua and Jade multiple times before the movie started playing. I laughed when Toothless swallowed the fish and regurgitated it and Hiccup ate it. After the movie we all went to our rooms and I laid on my bed, turning on my TV. Today was Wednesday, so nothing that good was on. At 11 PM, I turned off my TV and thought about my day. Tyson jumped onto my bed and slept on my feet. I thought that maybe it wouldn’t be so bad being stuck here.

Chapter 24: Let the weeks commence.When I woke up, it was 9:35. Tyson was still sleeping, so I got up quietly and looked at the calendar. July 10, 2012. Summer was halfway over and I still had summer reading to do for communications at school. I got up and went to the intercom, asking Tasha if she had copies of The Great Gatsby, The Scarlett Letter, and The Hunger Games. She said yes and that someone would bring them by eventually. I asked her if she could bring me a pen and some sticky notes as well. In 3 minutes Jerald, brought me all the supplies I needed and I got right to work. I read the Hunger Games first, since it was my favorite. I was halfway done and had half of the annotations I needed by the time Raech knocked on my door at 10:30. I opened it and she asked, “You coming to breakfast?” I nodded before changing out of my pajamas and into my suit. When I got back out there, Jade was waiting as well. We waited for Melena and Killua before going to the cafeteria and getting a breakfast of Bacon, eggs, Toast, and hash browns. The whole time Melena had a smile on her face.“Someone had a good date last night,” I said, noticing the smile that wouldn’t leave her face.“Yeah, it was amazing,” She said. “Were going on another date tonight.”“Last night, we went to a movie and he held my hand. Today were going to dinner and then the planetarium behind door 1463,” she added.We finished eating quickly and headed down to meet with our first trainer. Jamiehh had a new set of weapons for me to try today. It was a machine gun that shoots at three points.“Okay, so when I call rape, shoot,” She said nonchalantly.I got my aim steady and she yelled, “Raaaapeeeee!!!” so I shot and hit all three just below the middle of the target. Jamiehh told me that it was good and we worked on that before I switched to a double sided sword. I worked on that with Jamiehh and we had a mini spar until the hour was up. I quickly moved on to Bob and as soon as I came in she started attacking me, I dodged her attack and vaulted over her. I dodged a few more of her attacks and blocked some others before I slid under the table and yelled, “Stop!”She smiled and said, “Good job, you know how to act when you are attacked by surprise.”

We spent our hour pretty much sparring, before I went to Lunch. I had a healthy lunch of salad and apple juice before I went to Marie. When I walked in the first thing I hear is, “You didn’t use much camouflage,” She said, scolding me. I got scared but then she said, “But you were good at stealth when you needed it.”I smiled but she made me work on camouflage for the hour. Halfway through, I heard and explosion come from Jamiehh’s training room. “Oh gosh, what did Jamiehh give to Killua that was explosive?” I said.Jeffrey came in and said that everything was alright; Killua was just playing with some Alkali metals.“Which one?” Marie asked.“Francium,” He quickly responded before going off down the hall.I continued to work with camouflage until it was time to train with Zeek. I liked hand to hand combat training the most. As soon as I came in, I was expecting an attack. I rolled out of the way and ran towards Zeek, I attempted to kick him, but he moved and hit me in the back of my head. I turned around and dodged his oncoming fist and pushed him back. I jumped over a table and slid back under tripping him. He got up immediately and flipped me onto the table. He kicked the table over and I hit the ground. I got up and kicked the table back towards him. We went on like this mostly for the hour, until training was done. After training was done, I went to my room and I began training Tyson, All I did was try to help him learn his name and to sit. He was a very obedient dragon; he just didn’t know his name. I took a nap until Jade, Killua, and Raech knocked on the door for dinner at seven. We went downstairs and Killua pulled out a paper, with a flyer that read Superhero Convention, It was in one week and I was sure Jeffrey wouldn’t let us go.“You know Jeffrey isn’t going to let us go to this right,” I said.“We can try, I mean we do have super powers, we deserve to go,” He responded.“He won’t go for it,” Raech agreed.“It’s just one night, what’s the worst that could happen?” Killua asked.“I don’t know, but you could at least obey Jeffrey’s rules,” Jade said.Killua shrugged and we finished eating in silence. After dinner, I went into my room and played with Tyson for about an hour. We had a fire competition… that didn’t end to well. After Jeffrey scolded me, I laid in bed and watch TV. At 10, Jersey Shore came on. When the theme song came on, Tyson jumped up and started moving excitedly. I hoped he didn’t act like Snooki when he grew up. I shuddered at the thought and told myself that I needed to tell Taylor this idea next time I saw him. After that went off, I went to bed. When I woke up, it was 10 AM. Tyson was already awake and trying to get inside the terrarium. I got up laughing and getting a snake out for him to eat. I was moving past him and he looked at me and moved his snake. He was a protective little dragon. I read more of my book, before going down to the cafeteria. Raech and Jade were already there when I got there. Killua and Melena came down quickly behind me, not talking. They still hadn’t learned to like each other. We ate and at about 10:50 Jeffrey came in and told us to follow him. We followed back into the examination lab, where he had a radar. He pointed to it and said, “This is the amount of enemy forces searching in the state.” There were a lot of dots on it and I mean A LOT! He zoomed in before saying, “This is the amount of forces searching for us just in the Richmond- Sandston area. This is why you guys are stuck here.”There were at least 15 dots in this area. “How many people are after the nagh exactly,” Jade asked, her voice rising a little.“At least 10 organizations,” He said. “Could be more than that, but there are no less than that.”

For some reason Killua thought it was a good time to ask Jeffrey about the convention. He suddenly said, “So there’s this superhero convention and we were wonderi-““No, it’s way too dangerous,” Jeffrey said before he could finish. I looked at him with a smirk that said, “I told you so.” He ignored me before saying, “Come on, it’s just one night and we can protect ourselves.”“No, now go to training,” Jeffrey said sternly.Killua pouted before walking out of the room. Training pretty much went the same way as the day before. I shot stuff, Killua caused explosions, and Tyson still doesn’t know his name.

Chapter 25: heheheeheh <sneaks around>

Today was July 17th and I woke up at 8:30. I was almost done with my summer reading projects, so I got up and worked on some of them. Tyson learned his name so I called him over and fed him. He ate quickly, jumped on my bed and went back to sleep. I laughed at how lazy he was. I heard a knock, so I yelled, “Come in!” Raech came in with Erebus. She asked me if I wanted to join Her, Jade and Melena in an early morning run through the woods with the animals. I quickly agreed before picking Tyson up, attempting to not wake him.“Killua isn’t going,” She said when I headed towards his door.“Why?” I asked in a curious tone.“Today is the convention,” She said.“Oh yeah,” I muttered. I wanted to go, but I knew Jeffrey wouldn’t allow it in any way. Jade and Melena came out and we walked to the door with the large park and wood trail behind it. After inside, Erebus and Tyson immediately took off down the path, racing. The four of us started running in an effort to keep up with them. We ran 3 times on the large path. When we were done, I realized that Jade had a picnic basket, with healthy breakfast in it. Killua showed up around that time.“Did I miss the running?” He asked.“Yes,” We all said in unison.He started running down the path and the animals went with him. Jade pulled Strawberries, bananas, watermelon, grapes, apple and orange juice, toast and butter out of the basket. After I got a little bit of everything, Killua and the animals came back. He sat down and started getting food and he was quiet, so I could tell he was upset. We pretty much started eating in silence, since it was that good.“What time is it?” Melena asked me.“Uhhh…10:15,” I responded. She got up and started walking away.“I’m going to breakfast with Zeek,” She said walking away. So that was why she didn’t eat that much. We went to training as usual, but at lunch I could tell that he wanted to suggest something. “What’s on your mind,” I asked already knowing what was on his mind.He glared at me before asking, “Is anything private with you?”“Nope… now tell us,” I responded.“I was thinking, we could sneak out and go to the convention at 6,” he said.“But, Jeffrey said no,” Melena said.“Nothing is going to happen and if it does, we can protect ourselves,” He said.We all just agreed, because I needed some fresh air from the real world. Killua was obviously surprised at how quickly we agreed. We went on with the rest of the training day. We saw Jeffrey on the way back to our rooms.“Guys, I’m sorry for not letting you go to the convention. I hope you understand the

importance,” Jeffrey said.“Of course we understand Jeffrey, were just going to head over to room 937 to the amusement park if you need us,” Raech said.“Alright,” He said smiling at us.“I hope that amusement park has other people in it,” I said.“It has holographic people, they seem quite real though,” Jade said.I went into my room and took a shower before putting on my suit and some clothes over it. After I was ready, I met the others in Melena’s room and went over the plan. “Okay, so were going to go to the amusement park, but at 5:30 were going to leave with the help of my invisibility, which means you guys will have to touch my shoulder until were out of the building. Questions?” Melena explained.“How are we going to get out of the door without being seen?” Raech asked.“I’ve been working on either an invisible portal, or being able to walk through them like a ghost. If I can get my body that far away from existence, I should be able to succeed,” She responded.Raech nodded and with that we went toward the door chamber. We left Tyson and Erebus in Melena’s room and left them lots of snacks to catch until we came back. We were walking down the hall to the door chamber and Killua said with a fake smile, “Were just going to the amusement park, nothing suspicious going on.” I elbowed him in his side and he stifled an, “Ow.” We continued walking towards the door, receiving looks from the people in the hallway. When we got there, I was surprised when I saw a full amusement park beyond that door, but the people were indeed holographic. I rode the intimidator, since I was no longer afraid of heights. At 5:30 Raech used air to collect Killua and me in the middle of the ride and we went over the plan one more time. After going over the plan, Melena instructed us to put our hands on her shoulders and once we did her body disappeared. I read that Telekinetics need great concentration if they are going to turn invisible and create force fields, I don’t know how Melena does it. We snuck past everyone and as a joke; I waved my hand in front of a few people. When we got to the door, Melena started created a portal that was invisible without her touching it and we stepped through. When we got to the street, we let go. It felt so good to breath real air and be outside again. We ran around the corner and initiated the next step. “Now we need a taxi, because we cannot fly,” I said, putting emphasis on cannot. “Where are we going to find a taxi in Richmond, or anywhere around it?” Killua asked. I shrugged, but Melena looked like she had an idea. “What is it,” I asked her.“I have a friend whose dad owns a taxi service. All we have to do is call him and he can get us there in no time,” she said. “Just pretend like you don’t have powers though.”She called him and he showed up in five minutes. He got out of the car, hugging her saying, “Hey Mel! Haven’t heard from you for weeks.”“Hey! I know, I’ve been… busy,” She said hesitantly.“I know how that goes, Where to?” he asked as we got into the taxi.“The convention center, There’s something going on there tonight,” She said. “By the way, these are my friends, Pyro, Raech, and Jade… Killua is our monkey.” She added. We all laughed, except for Killua. 20 minutes later, we were standing in front of the convention center. We thanked out driver and paid him before he drove away and we walked inside. Inside was amazing. There was a table set up with all types of food with superheroes faces on them. The special guest for the convention would be Spiderman and Thor. We had to make sure they didn’t see us. They weren’t normally around, but I was sure they knew we were supposed be staying at Supapowa Brah. After we tried some food, we took off our clothes, so we just had our uniforms

on. I felt so liberated and free, sneaking out. Immediately Killua starting going around to mingle and I followed suit. I met a lot of superhero nerds and I pulled Jade along with me since she was a nervous person. I met a girl named Jill, she was… interesting, but very cool. She was dressed up in a Spiderman costume and called herself Spiderwoman. Raech brought over a guy named Mikey and introduced him to Jade and I. I could tell that she liked him by the way she giggled whenever he said something. I checked out a few expos and poster boards before the announcer came on stage. He was announcing for the costume contest. I knew for a fact we wouldn’t win because no one knew where they came from and our costumes weren’t that interesting. “I am Stan Lee,” The announcer said. He wasn’t Stan Lee; he was a tall man with a Stan Lee costume. “I am here to announce the winners of the costume contest. In first place is…Julia Thornton.” She had an amazing costume. It was like a compilation of all the members of the Justice League’s costume. “In second place is… Jill Nelson.” It was the Spiderwoman that I saw earlier, I had seen better, but hers was pretty good. “And in third place… is… Pyro Jenson.”I blinked at my name being called. I really didn’t understand how I won, but I walked up and received a gift certificate to Carini’s. I thanked “Stan” before walking off stage. Something wasn’t right about that guy or me winning. “Now were going to do our honorable mentions,” Stan continued. “For best mingler, the winner is… Killua Zoldyck!” He ran on stage excitedly and accepted his prize. Raech won best flirter, which caused her to turn a bright red. After his announcements, Spiderman and Thor came on stage and everyone cheered. Jade and I probably cheered the loudest because Spiderman was our favorite super hero. They came on stage and talked about adventures, but they never talked about where they started, which was Supapowa Brah. After they talked, they left and everyone continued to have fun. I still didn’t feel right about something. I went to Melena and asked her about it and she felt the same way, so we went to Killua and he said, “You guys are just nervous because you sneaked out; chill a little.” I couldn’t shake the feeling that we were in danger. I hadn’t seen “Stan” since his announcements. I went to look for him. I heard him behind a door in the back and the words I heard were, “Send the attack, they’re here.” My mouth hung open for a minute before I ran to Melena. “We have to leave now!” I said.“Good, let’s go get the others,” Melena said.We saw Killua first and said in unison, “We have to go now!”“Why?” He asked, seeing our panicked expression.That’s when I heard an explosion. We turned and the roof of the building was completely destroyed. “That’s why…,” I said turning to him.“Stan” flew across the room and approached the three of us. “Where is the nagh?” He asked.“We don’t have it,” I said.“That’s BS, all the organizations know that you all retrieved it from the SVMA,” He responded. “Well, you aren’t getting it from us,” Melena said. He lunged at her and she flipped out of the way. People were in a panic and started to run wild. There was robotics piling into the room. I destroyed some with explosive fireballs. I lit both of my hands on fire and ran towards them, hitting them with fire hands. I heard some shocks and explosions. I couldn’t find Melena, but one of the robots had randomly been destroyed, so she must have been invisible. Jade was hitting them with swords, and butts of guns. Raech had created a wind storm in the building and the robots were being hit with random things. We eventually were in a circle, and one of them pulled out a machine gun. Melena put up a force field and the bullets bounced off of the field, hitting them, including some mortals. Force came

from Melena’s body and destroyed a lot of them. I ran into the crowd and boiled the insides of some of the robots, causing them malfunction. Suddenly there was a rope around my body. We were tied to the floor, by now everyone was gone except for “Stan’s” clan and a few hurt mortals. Stan walked over to us and a helicopter showed up. He lifted us up with Telekinesis and suddenly the helicopter went to the ground. Jeffrey, Jerald, our trainers and a lot others from Supapowa Brah busted in and destroyed the robots. I had never seen them fight before. Jamiehh was using a half machine gun, half rocket launcher to defend herself. Bob was being defensive but destructive, Marie was sneaking around killing them from behind, and Zeek was going hand to hand with a lot of them. Jeffrey was fighting Stan. Jeffrey kicked him in his chest, and he flew back. He rolled backwards and attempted to throw a mug at Jeffrey but Jeffrey dodged it and threw a table. It his him and he gave up. He left on a random motorcycle and they untied us. Jeffrey saw our certificates and said, “Destroy those; there are tracking devices in them.” We did as we were told and Killua said, “Jeffrey, were sor-,”“Save it,” Jeffrey interrupted coldly. We got into an invisible car. It was an awkwardly silent ride home, and Jeffrey didn’t say a word to us, no one did. When we got back Tasha said, “Conference room.” We did as we were told and went in there. We sat down and Jeffrey came in with a water bottle. He took a sip before saying, “What were you guys thinking? You guys deliberately went to that convention and ignored what I said. You guys knew how imperative it was for you guys to stay here and you went anyway! I am very disappointed in you all! I bet you guys didn’t know that the convention was planned by a secret agent, that “Stan” guy… Now they know what state we are in and I’m sure a lot of others are going to be here soon! I knew that the convention was dangerous and there would be an enemy there… I’ve learned. Not to mention that you destroyed the most popular building in Richmond. We’ll probably be all over the news tomorrow!”We all hung our heads low; we had never seen Jeffrey like this before.“Because you have disobeyed me, you will train 2 hours with each trainer each day, you won’t be done till 7:30 but you need to learn a lesson. You may not be able to go home next week now either, now that our position has been compromised!”He walked out and left us there to feel sorry for ourselves. Jade looked like she was on the verge of tears, she usually doesn’t do anything bad. We didn’t even say another word to each other; we just went to our rooms. Tyson was as excited has he usually was when I walked it, but I wasn’t in the mood. I just climbed into my bed. Sensing my sadness, Tyson jumped up and crawled next to me. I fell asleep immediately.

Chapter 26: … the end… maybe

In the morning, I read a little bit and fed Tyson. I turned on the TV and like Jeffrey said, we were on the news. We weren’t identified, but they had footage of the destroyed Coliseum. I felt really bad about sneaking out. I went down to breakfast and Raech was sitting there with Jade and Melena. I got some breakfast and sat down with them. We didn’t really talk much. Killua came down when we were done, when he sat down he said, “Guys I’m really sorry for getting you guys in trouble… I’ll tell Jeffrey that it was my entire fault.”“You don’t have to do that… were a team, were all to blame,” I said.The girls nodded in agreement. He seemed happier that we didn’t blame him. On the way to training, we apologized to Jeffrey and he accepted it, but still seemed a little upset. We went to training and it was horrible, our trainers hit us harder because we would’ve lost last night, if they

didn’t show up. It was around 8 when I was done because I had to train Tyson. I went down to dinner and everyone was already there. I ate and immediately went upstairs to sleep even though Tyson wanted to play.*****Today was Tuesday, July 24th, the day we were originally going to go home. We were all really grumpy today. I loved Supapowa Brah, but I missed my family, including my dog. I had been training Tyson to stay in my room, even with the door open. I also taught him to fly back to Supapowa Brah when I wasn’t home and I would pick him up when he could come back. Suddenly I got a call on my phone, it was my mom. I answered it quickly.“Hello?” I said.“Hey, when are you coming home?” my mom asked in a stern yet calm tone.“Soon, I promise, were having tons of fun,” I said.“Fine… you better bring back souvenirs,” She said laughing.“Of course,” I said laughing.After we finished talking, I went to training… again. After training, we ate dinner and had a movie night. The next morning, Jeffrey ate breakfast with us. He then started smiling and when we asked him about it, he pointed to our luggage and animals that were now on their leashes standing there. “You can go home now,” He said.I immediately got up and went to my luggage. None of us could keep the smile off of our faces. We hugged each other before leaving to the car park to get our cars. I put my stuff in the trunk and Tyson hopped in the front seat. It felt weird being in my car again. I drove home and parked on the street. I carried Tyson and told him to fly around to my window in the back, he did as he was told and I just hoped he wouldn’t be seen. I unlocked the door and there was no one there. My parents were at work and I assumed that Alicia was out with her friends. I went into my room and Steve was on my bed playing my game. When he saw me he ran and hugged me. Macy ran over and jumped on my excitedly. I gave her a belly rub before turning to Steve.“Whoa, I thought you were gone for good,” He said.“Nope, nice to see you too,” I said laughing. He and I had never seemed bonded before, but I guess the trip made us miss each other. I decided that I could trust him with my secret.“Why are you home alone,” I asked.“Mom trusts me… I just can’t use the stove while she’s gone,” He said.I laughed before saying, “So Uhhh… can I trust you to keep a secret?” I asked.“Sure, lay it on me.” He said.“I mean you can’t tell anyone, even your best friend,” I said.“I promise I won’t,” he said in a worried tone.I walked over to the window, let Tyson in, he landed on my bed and started to sniff Macy. I ran to cover Steve’s mouth because he looked like he was going to scream.“Is… that a… d-d-dragon?” He asked in a nervous tone.“Yes, his name is Tyson and he’s nice. Just pet him,” I said. He petted him hesitantly and Tyson started to lick his hand.“See, he likes you,” I said.Steve smiled an uneasy smile. “How did you get him?” He asked.I told him the story of everything that happened from the letter (which I showed him) all the way to the very moment of me standing before him. When I was done, he simply said, “I don’t believe

you.”To prove it to him, I lit my hand on fire. “Ummm… how it that possible?” he asked.“Because I have super powers,” I said in a duh like tone. I covered my whole body in fire and started to hover above the ground. Tyson started flying with me and breathed fire on my body. It was a trick I taught him just for demonstration. Steve was amazed, so I showed him things that I could do until mom got home. When she got home she called, “Steve!”“Yeah?” he called.“Come here for a minute,” she said.He went downstairs and I followed him closing the door behind me. When I got there she turned around and I said, “Hi mom.”She ran to me and gave me a hug… a tight hug. “Oh my baby, I’m so glad that you’re safe,” She said still squeezing me.“I thought I was your baby,” Steve said pouting. She hugged him and asked, “How was the trip?”“I’ll explain when dad and Alicia get here,” I said.Until they got there we all just watched TV and I helped my mom with dinner. When my dad and Alicia came home, we went through the same routine as when Steve and mom saw me. I made up a fake, realistic story about how the trip was and they mentioned that I was darker, like I had gotten a tan. After I explained my dad asked my mom “Did you here on the news about the people who destroyed the coliseum?”I looked at Steve and he was looking at me. I pretended like I didn’t know what he was talking about. We all just sat down and watched movies like the family we were when I was a kid, and I liked it.
