Keywords: bionomics, in vitro culturing of deutonymphs of A. micronyx, squeezed from tail-hair follicles of the 13-lined ground squirrel S. tridecemlineatus, produced tritonymphs after 4 days. Tritonymphs cultured on active dry yeast and tail-scabs produced adults by the ninth day. The first eff was laid on day 11, larvae hatched by day 16, and protonymphs developed by day 23. Adults are similar to those of A. sciuricola and Chortoglyphus arcuatus
