My CollegeI graduated college from
Appalachian State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Elementary Education.
Where I’ve Taught
I completed my student teaching in Statesville, North Carolina in 3rd
Grade. Since then I have taught at2nd and 3rd grade at Troutman
Elementary, 4th grade at Monticello Elementary, and 3rd
and 5th grade at Cool Spring Elementary all in Statesville, NC.This will be my 5th year here at
Lindley.
My HobbiesI love to knit and crotchet,
cross-stitch, garden and can vegetables, play the piano
and sing. I also like to watch movies and go to the beach.
Although I did not take a beach trip this summer, I am looking forward to the next
time I can go.

My Favorite Books
I love all types of books. I really enjoy reading books
that a part of a series. I also like to read several books by the same author if I like
their style. My favorite series is the Outlander
Series by Diana Gabaldon. I also like to read Karen

To enjoy my last 4 years of teaching before
retirement.

Welcome to fourth grade! I grew up and lived in Statesville, North Carolina for most of my life. I moved to High Point in the summer of 2016 and began teaching at Lindley in August of 2016. This is my 27th year of teaching elementary school. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades in my teaching career. I have 3 children of my own and 3 stepchildren. The oldest is 21 and the youngest is 13. 5 of the 6 still live at home. I absolutely love teaching and genuinely believe this was my calling! Although we are starting school off virtually and not face to face, I have no doubt you guys are going to do amazing! My goal every year is to be there for both my students and their parents. Together, we will do amazing things.
