Activity 1

Create a poster to encourage people to visit the Hepworth in Wakefield.

Where is it? What will you see inside? What is around the building?

Look back at your work on Barbara Hepworth and the geography of the Hepworth to include information on your poster. Use the template on the website or that you collected from school.

Andy Goldsworthy is a British sculptor who lives and works in Scotland.

He is well-known for using natural materials to create sculptures outdoors.

Can you collect outdoor materials to create your own sculpture in your garden?

You could use twigs, leaves, stones…

Look at the pictures below for inspiration.

Vincent van Gogh’s painting of his chair is one of the most iconic and well-known painting today. It can be seen in the National Gallery in London.

Can you draw or paint a chair from your house? Place an object on the chair which is special to you.
