Hello Phoenix, Scorpius and Taurus.

We hope you are all well. Here is a fun art project for you to try at home.

Art project – Self portraits

Task: Self-portrait.

Split your piece of paper into quarters and draw 4 different self-portraits in the style of different artists. (Andy Warhol – pop art, Pablo Picasso – abstract, Henri Matisse – dots, Salvador Dali – melting.)

Resources you will need – 1 sheet of paper, a pencil, colouring crayons, internet device to research other examples of artists work. Resources from school – Examples of 4 artists’ work in this document.

We hope you enjoy doing this project. You could share your finished artwork on our FROG website.

Have lots of fun and we will see you soon!

From Miss Turner, Mrs Brown, Miss Evans and Mrs Backrath

WAGOLL This is a portrait that Miss Turners friend drew of her at school. She used Salvador Dali as her inspiration too! It’s a little bit spooky (hopefully not because it is Miss Turner!) but you can really see the melting details on the face. Your self-portrait inspired by Dali may look similar to this!
