The Food Hero Social Marketing Campaign has been expanded and enhanced in countless ways thanks to so many amazing program participants and community partners. The Food Hero Champion Award was created to recognize accomplishments and honor these important contributions throughout our communities with a certificate. How to use the FH Campion Award Certificate Blank certificates can be 1) ordered from the campus team, or 2) accessed
online and printed individually at your county / partner site. It can be awarded to anyone, such as students, adult program participants,
parents, volunteers, community partners / staff. Recognize a variety of accomplishments/contributions. See below / online for
ideas. It can be personalized several ways: handwritten, entered by computer, or a
combination of both. Gold OSU certificate seals may be available from Extension Admin to enhance
certificates. Get the word out – let partners know how to access this certificate and
encourage its usage.Award Application SuggestionsRecognize youth/students: Exemplary food tasting leadership, during nutrition class and in the cafeteria. Healthy lifestyles leadership at ABC Elementary School / in ABC’s Classroom. Completing a series of Food Hero tastings or filling a Food Hero passport. Outstanding artistic contributions to the Food Hero Plan for Good Health
calendar.Acknowledge teachers, administration, staff, PTO members, parents – and beyond: Consistently engaging students with outstanding extended nutrition lesson
discussions. Role modeling and encouraging water consumption in the classroom. Going above & beyond to support nutrition education at ABC Elementary / in the
cafeteria – facilitating over # hours of nutrition education / providing # FH recipe tastings to over # students.
Demonstrating culinary creativity – trying Food Hero recipes at home / involving children in Food Hero recipe preparation.
