The Lighthouse KeeperWatch the video clip of another short animation of the story about a lighthouse keeper.Think about how this story compares with the one from yesterday. Think about the character of the 2 different lighthouse keepers. How is the atmosphere different in the 2 stories?

Can you draw a picture and an explanation of what you would do if you were a lighthouse keeper and your lantern had broken? Like the men in the story, what could you do to solve the problem? How could you return light to the lighthouse so that the ships don’t crash into the rocks? Use the sheet to help you set it out, if you wish.

Titanic – What was there to do on board?Have a look at the PowerPoint to read about the differen things that the passengers could do on board to keep themselves entertained.Using some of this information, can you design a poster or make a leaflet advertising the Titanic to passengers? What would make people want to buy a ticket to sail on her?

Have a look at some modern posters below for an idea of what to do. You could include: a picture of the ship, when the ship is sailing, what the bedrooms are like, what the food is like, what there is to do on board, etc.You could also research your own information if you want to include other facts.
