+++~ Baby Allison Catriona Casey – the Scottish spelling is pronounced like Katrina, daughter of Marie and Kirk Casey will be baptized during 11 a.m. service on September 27th ~ Today, we are in the midst of a celebration of Rosh Hashanah with our Jewish neighbors. Also called the Feast of TRumpets it began sunset Friday September 18th and ends at nightall on Sunday September 20th."Rosh" is the Hebrew word for "head"; "ha" is the definite article ("the"), and "shanah" means year. Thus, "Rosh HaShanah" means 'head [of] the year', referring to the Jewish day of New Year. One Jewish tradition is to eat apples dipped in honey to affirm hopes of a very sweet new year! It is a day to announce with the blowing of the shofar trumpet, that Jesus is coming in the rapture, to gather the faithful.
