Welcome to WaterWorkx, the first patented Body Toner thatuses water to create a natural, smooth and self-determinedworkout with variable resistance.

The WaterWorkx has been designed to allow each and everyuser to work at their own pace and intensity. This makes theWaterWorkx a machine suitable for all users, whatever yourage, fitness level or aspiration.

We feel that being able to exercise in an environment thatencourages you to discover your own level of intensity is themost natural way to exercise. Combined with the aestheticquality of the WaterWorkx we are sure your workouts willbe fun and enjoyable.

WATERWORKX – UNIQUE WATER RESISTANCE

By using water to create resistance the WaterWorkx providesa smooth and effective exercise platform. Water resistancealso ensures a safe workout, free from exposed movingweight plates.

WaterWorkx only engages concentric muscle contraction(the muscle shortens while generating force), whileremoving the common eccentric muscle contraction (themuscle elongating under tension) typical in standard weightmachines. Eccentric muscle contraction is proven toresult in greater muscle damage and soreness.

INNOVATIVE WATER RESISTANCE

The WaterWorkx water resistance system consists of tworesistance components:

1. Base ResistanceAs with all conventional exercise machines, the WaterWorkxresistance can be adjusted. Instead of selecting from a fixedset of weight plates, the water valve is variable, controllingthe flow of water through the turbine.

Resistance can be set using 'Water Flow Zones' read offthe measuring needle at the top of the water tank. There are10 zones or levels (0-9), where “0” represents the lightestresistance and “9” the highest level. All exercises should beconducted beginning at a low level of intensity and increasedin the course of training.

2. Self-regulating resistanceThe faster the water flows through the cylinder, the higherthe flow resistance. The WaterWorkx cylinder is designed insuch a way that even minimal changes of velocity create anoticeable effect on the resistance.

We label this the “self-regulating component”:The harder you pull, the higher the resistance.

The same principles of this form of resistance also apply toWaterRower rowing machines (www.waterrower.com).

The key advantage of this resistance concept is that it isvirtually impossible to lift too heavy a weight. Therefore, thedanger of injury to muscles and joints is decidedly reduced.

The limit to how hard you can work is your bodies owncapacity. WaterWorkx can therefore be said to set itselfto each users ability level and thus provides a truly individual workout.

THE WAY IT WORKS…

The WaterWorkx distinctive feature is the patented watertank, consisting of two interlinked cylinders (chambers).This tank is both strong and extremely light-weight.

With each pull the water tank creates a vacuum in the innercylinder (chamber). This vacuum, causes the water to besucked through the valve of the outer cylinder into the innerchamber. The valve in the inner chamber can be regulatedby turning the metal dial at the top of the tank to increaseor decrease resistance.

MAIN FEATURES

WaterWorkx has been created to meet your individualtraining requirements. The wall bars offer many differentgrip positions, offering support during exercises andstretching.

The pulling bars and accessories can be fastened to theWaterWorkx through the top or bottom pulleys respectively.The lower rotation (swivel) pulley expands the exerciseradius, allowing further side pulls.

With WaterWorkx you will work all major muscle groups(both individually and in combination with each other) - legs,arms, chest, abs and glutes - as well as increasing flexibility.

1. BarsNot simply to add to the aesthetics of the machine, thesebars add stability during exercise and offer a variety ofpositions for stretching

8. Lower Pull CableThe lower pull cable is led over a pivotable pulley.This enables a wide range of exercises which can beperformed to the side as well as in a straight line

The WaterWorkx Exercise Manual includes more than 100 strength building and stretching exercises, as well as full body toning suggestions.It is further possible to create your personal full body workout or circuit training and record these in writing.For example “Toning of Body Zone X”: Choose the body zone you would like to train/exercise. Select 2-4 exercises from this body zone and work out in strength building, endurance or hypertrophy ranges.Pick a circuit or reps workout and exercise a different body zone in your next workout. Of course you can also combine several body zones per workout.

TRAINING

WaterWorkx will enable you to train all major muscle groups– individually and in combination with each other. Arms, legs,chest, abdominals and glutes can be individually toned, whileyour back and joints become flexible and resilient.

The Exercise Manual which accompanies each machinedisplays a wide variety of exercises. This Manual can befixed onto the wall bars, so that you can leaf through itduring your workout.

The body zones are distinguished by different colours andthe individual exercises numbered.

TRAINING

There are two basic, correlated workout approaches:

1. Classic TrainingYou conduct/execute an exercise as closely aspossible to the training ideal

2. Differential TrainingYou develop a personal training style

Both approaches ultimately form an entity or rather amethodical workout structure. To be on the safe side,a beginner workout, for example, should strictly followthe respective training recommendations from theExercise Manual (classic training).

As sufficient endurance and experience is gained(especially with regard to exercise weight, exercise speedand its specific intensity), as well as a good assessment ofyour personal resilience, your workout should becomemore diversified (differential training).

The “wrong” and “right” of the exercises begin to fade andyour personal, individual style develops.The engine behind this development is a “fluctuation”of the exercise parameters: exercise types, training time(morning/evening), training atmosphere (music/peace),training frequency, training weight, motion speed, extentof motion, number of repetitions, length of intervals, gripposition, feet position and posture.

This methodical build-up leads to the development of anintuitive training routine, which develops as more experienceis gained. Train, therefore, with your head, heart and lots ofcreativity and fun!

The gentle water resistance does not merely guaranteethe fluidity of the motion sequence, but simultaneouslyminimizes muscle stiffness, due to the fact that duringthe elongation phase of the muscle the eccentric musclecontraction is omitted.

It is precisely this stretching of the flexed muscle that isinevitable when training with solid weights. According tomost sports physicians, this is the culprit which leads tomuscle ache.

WATERWORKX ATTACHMENTS

The WaterWorkx cable attachments are easily fastened tothe top or lower pulleys using the snap hooks provided.These offer an excellent range of motion and stability duringexercise. The different attachments provide for an extensivenumber of exercises to help keep even the most demandingusers engaged through the variety offered.

The Mid-Pulley connects both the top and lower pulleysand provides a range of exercises utilising both pulleyssimultaneously.
