Applying to study at Monash is different to applying to university through QTAC. This guide will giveyou tips on how to apply through VTAC for Monash courses and scholarships, it alsofeatures information on accommodation and QCAA score conversions.

WHAT IS VTAC (VICTORIAN TERTIARY ADMISSIONS CENTRE)?VTAC is the Victorian version of QTAC, who are responsible forprocessing applications and offers for places in Victorianuniversities. The two centres operate independently. The offer youreceive from VTAC does not impact your offer from QTAC.

Important tip

When registering at vtac.edu.au, use an email account that you willhave access to well into next year.

Apply for SEAS (Special Entry Access Scheme)

The Special Entry Access Scheme SEAS adjusts your Monash selection rank in recognition ofcircumstances that may have affected your education. This givesyou a better chance of getting an offer for the course you want.You’ll receive adjustments that re�ect the severity of yourcircumstances. The adjustments are made to your achieved ATARwhich then produces your selection rank. Monash uses yourselection rank during the selection process.

You may be eligible if you satisfy the criteria for one ormore of the SEAS categories:

ACCOMMODATIONMonash Residential Services looks after all aspects of studentaccommodation at Monash University.

Applications for on-campus accommodation in 2021 will open on 1September 2020. There is no cost to apply and accommodation isoffered on a '�rst-in, �rst-served' bases so we recommend applyingearly. There is also no cancellation fee if you no longer wish toproceed with your application or live on campus.

MRS also have an off-campus advisory service to assist studentswho wish to live off-campus.

Scholarships at Monash fall into the following categories Equity,Achievement, Leadership or Accommodation 

Apply for Equity scholarships through the VTAC scholarshipapplication form. Leadership scholarships require a directapplication, while Achievement scholarships will be automaticallyassessed based on your ATAR and preferences.
