•Weld Inspections were added ensure our engineering was built to specifications.

• W-T Communication Design Group, LLC self performs all engineering services including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Land Surveying and Tower Mapping / Inspection, Weld inspections.

• Subcontractors are used for specific items that are geographically driven. Items such as Environmental, Geotechnical and Land Surveying are better performed by those companies who are familiar with the local region or area.

• W-T Communication Design Group, LLC is staffed with over 50 Project Managers, Engineers, Designers and Drafters.

• The W-T Family of Companies employee another 80 individuals. Each are equipped with a wide variety of skills that expand the staffing of W-T CDG on an as needed basis.

A Project Manager supervises a team of designers who then supervise a pool of drafters. Each team will only work for one customer. So, the design effort is customer focused and client specific quality control is maintained.

For some client builds or programs we may add project teams by region or by shear project volume.

• W-T CDG has active contracts will all the major wireless carriers and a number of regional providers.

• As part of this current work, W-T has firsthand knowledge of the technologies and equipment used by each carrier in most regions.

• We have capitalized on the knowledge and experience gained from working with the carriers. It has given us a competitive advantage with the Tower Owners. Knowing that W-T understands the requirements of the carriers, tower companies have us under contract. They utilize W-T CDG in order to provide designs for build-to-suite projects as well as tower and compound expansions.

Since 2003, W-T CDG has been a critical team member for US Cellular’s Mini - Mod Cell Upgrade program and has completed 1100+ equipment swaps.

As a key provider for T-Mobile in the Midwest, T-Mobile and Nokia utilized the services of W-T CDG to assist with the UMTS implementation of over 600 sites in the Chicago metropolitan area.

• All projects are tracked with our own MS Access Database.

• All work is requested and confirmed with a Service Request Memorandum (SRM). The SRM is also used to request a purchase order.

• Project Managers are required to know and understand the project scope.

• Out-of-scope work is addressed between the W-T CDG Project Manager and the client’s Project Manager.

• Scope modification may be minor and not require a change order. In other cases, a significant change might warrant a “change order” or contract revision.

Quality Control• Quality control is a primary function at W-T.

• No job or task leaves our offices without a quality control check and review by a second project manager.

Quality Control Subcontractors

• Subcontractors are not scapegoats, When work is done by W-T Communication Design Group, LLC, we are completely

responsible and accountable for its accuracy and delivery schedule. The fact that a subcontractor may or may not have done the work is not relevant.

• At W-T CDG, we use more than one subcontractor when possible to augment our staff and skills. By using at least two vendors, we can better meet timelines by shifting work as we see fit. By having multiple vendors for the same trade we can utilize peer reviews when necessary to spot check quality control.

• All products, regardless of the source, get quality control checked prior to delivery to the client or for permit submittal.

Project Ramp-Up

• At W-T CDG, we groom our staff from the bottom-up. We pride ourselves on finding junior achievers and giving them a place to grow. We have an extremely low employee turnover rate.

• Depending on project size and timing, we try to “bump” everyone up. We bring in new drafters from temporary placement agencies, college or technical school recruiting campaigns.

• We advance the drafters who have “picked-up” on the programs and tasks they have been working on. We then evaluate a designer and coach them into the position of Junior Project Manager. We may also assign them to a smaller/less demanding project. Then, we shift project managers working on smaller projects to the larger projects and so on.

• Currently, with a staff of 40 employees, W-T CDG is on track to complete 2,600 projects in 2008.
