Create and Share Your Company Page, Lead Generation and Advanced Searching




Create a Company Page




Create A Company Page

1. From the top navigation, click on Interests, then Companies.

2. On the right-hand side, click the yellow button marked “Create A Page”.

3. Enter your Company name(100 characters max.) and your Company email address. Verify, click blue “Continue” button.





4. Add your Company information.

5. Create a Company description.

6. Add your Company website URL.

7. Click Publish.





Important Character Limits (incl. spaces)

1. Company Name: 100 characters max.

2. Company Description: between 200 and 1,500 characters max.

3. Specialties section: 256 characters max.

4. Website URL: 256 characters max.





Important Image/Logo Considerations

1. Banner: 646px X 220px. Max file upload is 2MB. Acceptable file formats: PNG, JPEG, JPG, GIF.

2. Logo-Standard: 100px X 60px. Same file formats. May resize to fit. TIP: make image wider, not taller.

3. Logo-Square: 50px X 50px. Same file formats. Most commonly used on network updates.





Upload Your Logo

1. Click arrow on blue “Edit” button at top-right of your Company page. This can be found below your photo.

2. Select “Edit Page”.

3. Scroll about halfway down until you see “Image”, “Standard Logo”, or “Square Logo”.

4. Browse to locate your Company logo image. Click “Add Image”.

5. Click “Upload”, then click “Save”.

6. Click “Publish” if you have not published your Company page yet.





Upload Your Banner Image

1. Follow steps 1-3 from previous slide.

2. Browse to locate your banner image. Click “Add Image”.

3. Click “Upload”, then click “Save”.

4. Click “Publish” at the top-right of the screen.





Assign a Company Page Admin

1. You must be a 1st-level connection to include him/her as a Company page admin.

2. Click arrow on blue “Edit” button at top-right of your Company page.

3. Scroll down to “Company Page Admins” (above Images).

4. Beneath Designated Admins, starttyping your connection's name. Thesystem will offer one or more choices.

2. Once you select the person, their name will appear above your own as a Page Admin.

3. 4. Click “Publish” at the top-right of the screen.




Share a Company Page




Share A Company Page

1. From your Company page, find the blue curvy arrow next to the blue Edit button.

2. Hover over this arrow to see the four social media platforms to which your Company page can be shared: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and GooglePlus.





3. Share to LinkedIn as a personal status update, to a group or person, public or private, etc.





4. Share to the Twitter profile you are signed in to at that time. The post has some text pre-written, along with the link to your company page.

You can add text as long as you do not go over 140 characters (incl. spaces).





5. Share to your Facebook profile as a status update. You can also share to a friend's Timeline, your Page, to a Group, or as a private message.





6. Share to your GooglePlus profile page and to your circles, groups you are a member of, or individual people.

You will need to add some text to this post and choose which groups or circles you wish to include in notifications.

1. Follow your current clientsand prospects.

2. Participate actively in 3-5 groups.

3. Use new Publishing Platform for strategic article writing.

4. Share links to ebooks, blog articles, and webinars strategically. (Use 80/20 rule.)

5. Customize Pulse for articles of interest; cull for both author's and commenter's information.

6. Use Advanced Search to narrow by:a) 1st-, 2nd-, 3rd-degree connections

b) Group members

c) Title (i.e., owner, president, etc.)

d) Location

e) Industry

f) Keywords

g) Past companies

Search for people with skills7. Type in the skill in search bar 8. Select from auto-finish

Search for similar people with skills9. Review list from above search 10. Click “Similar” – view results

12. Click the people icon, or the number of connections

13. View results. Send a message or InMail, if appropriate.

14. Click on Connections – Keep In Touch.

15. Choose a 1st-degree connection.

16. Scroll down the profile to Connections. Click on a name.

TIP: You can also click on “Shared” to see who you might know in common, or “New” to see new connections.

17. Send an InMail or message, if appropriate.

18. Click on Advanced search option.

19. Select Group Members, then choose a Group.

20. Fill in criteria you want to look for (i.e., keywords, title, etc.).

21. View results. Send a message or InMail, if appropriate.

BONUS: How To Remove A Connection #11. Go to the profile page of the person you wish to remove as a connection.

2. Click the arrow in the blue Send A Message button.

3. Scroll down to the last list item, Remove Connection. Click the link.

4. This person is no longer connected to you. No notification is sent to him/her.




BONUS: How To Remove A Connection #21. Sign in to LinkedIn. From the main menu, click Connections.

2. Find the connection you wishto remove.

3. Hover in the person's area/square to view the More link.

4. Click More link and click on Remove Connection.

5. This person is no longer connected to you. No notification is sent to him/her.
