NATIONWIDE President Trump saidon Monday the“holdovers” still serving inthe White House and inthe National SecurityCouncil from the Obamaadministration were beingreplaced, denouncingleaks and embarrassingdetails of transcripts of histelephone conversationswith leaders of Australiaand Mexico as “disgrace-ful.” He said “Obamapeople,” or career civil ser-vants, who worked in pre-vious Democratic andRepublican administra-tions, were the source ofthe leaks. Trump continued hisassault on mainstreampolling on Monday, tweet-ing that any poll showinghis controversial immigra-tion ban was unpopularwas “fake news” while as-serting his internal statis-tics were superior andmore accurate. Trumpsaid negative polls werefaked, “just like the CNN,ABC, NBC polls in theelection. Sorry, peoplewant border security andextreme vetting.” At the same time, lawyers for Minnesota andWashington state told afederal appellate court on

Monday that it would “un-leash chaos” if it lifted anorder temporarily haltingTrump’s ban on refugeesand travelers from sevenpredominantly Muslimsterrorist countries fromentering the U.S. Thestates said the ban harmedresidents, businesses, anduniversities, adding it was“unconstitutional.” On Sunday, SenatorLindsey Graham told TheJournal Editorial Reportthat Democrats who re-fused to vote for SupremeCourt nominee Neil Gor-such risked looking like“you lost your mind,”pushing back on the no-tion that Senate Democ-rats could becontemplating a filibusterto try to block Gorsuch, who was nominated lastweek by Trump.
