Mangalyaan

Few Indian achievements have led to instant

national pride as much as the success of the

Indian Space Research Organization’s (ISRO)

Mangalyaan Mission to Mars. To place a satellite

in Mars’s orbit in the first attempt is no small

feat. That it was done on a Rs.450 crore budget,

the cheapest Mars mission so far makes it even

more remarkable. The Zeal of the ISRO staff,

along with cutting edge science, made the

mission successful. Now the question is do we

take the greater message from the ISRO

mission? Do Indians have a scientific

temperament?

The answer is no, we don’t. We want to use

science for our selfish interests, but want the

option to reject it when it doesn’t suit our

purposes. If we broaden the definition of science

to logical thinking, we fail even more.

Still we want to celebrate ISRO. Well, if we really

do want to congratulate ISRO, the best

contribution we can make is to give science a

little more respect in our lives.

If India wants to belong to the modern world- we

have to become more scientific.

Let the successful mission to Mars be a turning

point in the way we look at our world. Let there

be God in our hearts. But let there also be science

in our minds.

PATNA

(20TH, 21ST AND 22ND AUGUST, 2019)

Event: - THREE-DAYS AMCAT ASSESSMENT DRIVE FOR THE 1ST SEMESTER

& 3RD SEMESTER STUDENTS AT MACET, PATNA

About the Event- The AMCAT Assessment drive for 1st Semester and 3rd semester

students of A.K.U was held in the Dept. of Computer science Engineering of the

college on 20th, 21st and 22nd August under the supervision of Mr. Md. Nadeem

Enam (Assistant professor, Department of ECE & Employability skill

coordinator, MACET). He addressed the gathering of students from all branch

(ECE, CSE, EEE, CE & ME) comprising of 1st and 3rd semester of Engineering. The

assessment drive continued for 03 consecutive days. Each day ASPIRING MIND

Resource person conducted the assessment drive (forenoon session followed by

afternoon session).

The assessment made the student aware of their individual skills (Quantitative,

reasoning, Basic programming & Domain specific) which they must have during

the placement. The highlight of the assessment drive was to familiar the

students with CBT (Computer Based Test) which has now become the very

popular mode of assessment in almost all kind of exams. In this context students

were also enlightened of the fact that the AMCAT (Aspiring Mind Computer

Adaptive Test) is a global platform where students can assess their college

percentile as well as national percentile for their further improvement.

Aspiring Mind is actually a global agency which conducts the assessment drive

across the globe and issue a certificate of proficiency to the participants.

The outcome of the event was very productive as the students were highly

motivated and satisfied with their participation in the assessment drive.
