Dear TSA Generals,
Tenacity. Supports. Achievement. It was great to see everyone at the football game last Friday
evening. It was a great opportunity for fun and fellowship…Tonight we play Dillon Christian.
Come out and support our Generals!
Today is a very important day in the history of the United
States of America. It was 19 years ago today that we were attacked by
terrorists, and the twin towers came down, the Pentagon was attacked,
and Flight 93 was prevented from further infrastructure damage when
passengers thwarted the hijacking. For those of us alive in 2001, I am sure
each of us remembers exactly where we were during the morning hours of
September 11, 2001. Tonight, during our football game, we will have a
special tribute for our First Responders along with our military personnel,
both active and retired. Please join us for this special tribute.
Our Character Trait for the month of September is SELF-
DISCIPLINE. This character trait is discussed with all of our students,
and today we had our first Advisor group meeting for our 6th – 12th grade
students. We not only talked about our character trait of the month, we
also talked about our semester goals along with TSA history, TSA
mission and vision.
Hope to see you at the game tonight. Be safe over the weekend. As I pray you know, my door is

Another awesome week!
A Message from Dr. Martin:
“Over the summer, Thomas Sumter completed an Encapsulation project which
included air conditioning unit replacement and encapsulating underneath the main
building. The money for this venture was received from the Williams-Brice-Edwards
Charitable Trust Foundation. This project was over and above our Capital Campaign
which went public in 2017. The Capital Campaign was begun, and continues, in order to
refurbish the Science Labs and the Gym restrooms. The Science Labs were finished and
opened in February 2019. The Gym Restroom renovations have been put on hold because
during our Facilities Assessment, we found the roof above the gym lobby is in dire need
of repair. We want to be good stewards of the money provided to us from donors such as
current families, alumni, foundations, and businesses. So, we have begun collecting for
our Roof Repair Fund. This is above and beyond the Capital Campaign and Annual Fund
as well as our operational budget – it is a need we require to be finished before we begin
the gym restroom renovation. We need your help to accomplish this…”
