On Sunday, February 20th, a bold declaration was made from the pulpit… declaring Winter officially over!

Less than 12 hours later, with 6 fresh inches of snow on the ground… Santa & the Pastor were seen running for their lives… vowing never to be taken alive!

In another weather related story… several members and friends of AUMC, the Mut-

tons, the Nells, and Janet Crafa to name a few… have disappeared in recent days… nowhere to be found. There have been rumored sightings placing them in the WARM, TROPICAL environs of Hawaii! However, this is highly unlikely as they would never leave their friends and family behind in the cold of winter!

In another, totally unrelated story… Del Roberts retired this month! While we cele-

brate with him on this mile-stone… he has been rumored to turn ashen gray, and very pale when shown copies of Jan’s “honey-do”, and AUMC “volunteers needed” lists!

… Yes it has been a very long

Winter… and we (including our Florida “Snowbirds”),

She also as-sisted in various fund raising efforts (including the creation of a battalion of “sock monkeys” during their craze in the 1950’s. Covenant Prayer From John Wesley's Covenant Service , 1780

I am no longer my own, but thine.

Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt.

Put me to doing, put me to suffering. Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for

thee, exalted for thee or brought low for thee.

Let me be full, let me be empty. Let me have all things, let me have nothing.

I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal.

And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

thou art mine, and I am thine. So be it. And the covenant which I have made on

earth, let it be ratified in heaven. Amen.
