Shark’s Athletic Training Information

Fall 2015 – Spring 2016

On behalf of Hawaii Pacific University, we would like to welcome you to Hawaii for your upcoming athletic event. If you have any special requests, do not hesitate to contact us. For your convenience we have attached a list of supplies that will be available to you while competing at HPU. Athletic Training Room Sideline/Bench Moist Heat Packs Water Injury/Treatment ice Cups/Bottles Ultrasound Ice E-Stim Ice Bags LASER Towels (indoor sports) Whirlpool/Game Ready Biohazard waste containers We will also have emergency equipment such as crutches, and an AED available. Local EMS provides spine board, splints and vital monitoring equipment. Emergency Action Plans are specific for each location and can be found at www.hpusharks.com or emailed by request. If your team is traveling without a Certified Athletic Trainer, please notify our staff in advance of any special needs or arrangements. Please send a written letter from an ATC or MD for specific treatments to be used on your student athletes. If any of your athletes need to be taped, please send them with the necessary supplies. The Sports Medicine Clinic is located at 50 S. Beretania St. Suite C-117A, Honolulu, HI 96813. Parking is available at Kukui Plaza Mall parking garage.
