  • Working Group Open Space DRAFT Vision

By 2040, it will be a basic right of all communities to have equitable

and adequate Open Space resources. Open Space will facilitate the

development of transformational spaces that foster creativity and pride,

promote physical and mental health, and inspire environmental

stewardship. Everyone in Los Angeles will have access to Open Space

that serves the needs and celebrates the character of each community

as part of a cohesive green network. Los Angeles will be a city that

embraces a unique interconnection between its diverse ecosystems

and built environment to protect its climate, biodiversity, and scenic

    beauty.
