Sono oltre 90 le degustazioni, masterclass e walk around tasting a caratterizzare il 52° Vinitaly. Tutte si si svolgono nelle saleappositamente attrezzate da Veronafiere. Di seguito quelle organizzate con la collaborazione di Vinitaly.

Sunday 15

Argento Room, Palaexpo Level -1 – 11.30 a.m.-4.30 p.m.Tre Bicchieri 2018 at VinitalyGambero RossoWith its 31 issues, Gambero Rosso’s “Vini d’Italia” guide has become the most widely distributed and authoritative Italianwine guide. Created by a team of more than 50 experts, led by curators Marco Sabellico and Gianni Fabrizio, the guide isdistributed all over the world with translations in German, English, Chinese and from 2014 also in Japanese language. The31st edition evaluated the production of 2485 wineries and has individually rated more than 22 thousand wines. Of these,436 obtained the TRE BICCHIERI score, the guide’s highest recognition. At Sala Argento1 participants will have theopportunity to taste many of these veritable Italian wine masterpieces, including big name labels. Prestigious brand as wellas boutique estates and up-and-coming wineries.

Tulipano Room, Palaexpo Level -1 – 3.00-5.00 p.m.The magic of very old vines: Donne del Vino presents wines made from vines up to eighty years of ageDonne del Vino in collaboration with Vinitaly The Donne del Vino association presents a series of wines obtained from their historic vineyards: all the wines in the tasting are made, wholly or in part, from eighty year old vines. This first time-ever tasting provides a unique learning opportunity to discover and appreciate the complexity and depth that only truly old vines can deliver. Italy's incredible biodiversity of native grapes and wines will be spotlighted by tasting wines made from different grapes in seven different italian regions. Ian D'Agata, author of the multi-award winning Native Wine Grapes of Italy, will lead the tasting and highlight the importance of old vines in wine.

Argento Room 1, Palaexpo Level -1 – 11.00 a.m.-1.00 p.m.Grand tasting: An invisible link between Bolgheri and Pessac-LéognanOrganized by Vinitaly (tasting is lead by Raoul Salama) Château Malalartic-Lagravière 2009, Domaine de Chevalier 2009, Château Pape Clément 2009, on the one hand, Grattamacco 2010, Ornellaia 2010 and Guado al Tasso 2010 on the other, are proof of this strong relationship, which will be illustrated by the actual presence of their respective owners.

B Room, first floor Hall 10 – Starting form 3.00 p.m.Millebollerosé sparkling Rosé tastingTasting tour taking in 10 classic Italian Rosé wines. (Tasting is lead by Franco Ziliani).This tasting proposes ten Italian classic Rosé wines, from areas with designation of origin as well as without, made using canonical grapes such as Pinot Nero or Chardonnay or native Italian grape varieties. It seeks to demonstrate and document the heterogeneity and quality of classic Italian rosé wine-making. The selection ranges from Franciacorta to Trento Doc, Oltrepò Pavese and Alta Langa and will include astonishing classic method pink wines from other areas such as the Veneto, Sicily and other regions.

Argento Room 1, Palaexpo Level -1– Starting from 3.00 p.m.Grand tasting: Masi, 30 years of amarone at VinitalyThe Thirtieth Technical Seminar at Vinitaly provides the chance to assess the contribution the Masi Technical Group hasmade to winemaking and viticulture in the Venetian regions during the thirty years of its research and presentations. Theresult is a great horizontal-and-vertical tasting to define the characteristics of Amarone in the light of the techno-scientificevolution that over the last three decades has transformed Valpolicella’s great red wine into one of the symbols of Italy onthe export market.

Argento Room 1, Palaexpo Level-1 – Starting from 3.00 p.m.Grand tasting: WINES FROM AROUND THE WORLD overseen by Riccardo CotarellaCollaboration between Veronafiere and WRT* once again brings a special tasting to Vinitaly 2018 focusing on wines fromvarious parts of the world. Prestigious Italian wines will be tasted and analysed alongside others from France, Japan,Palestine, Romania, Russia and the United States of America - all of which are overseen by oenologist Riccardo Cotarella.

The event is scheduled on Tuesday 17 April at 15.00 in Argento1 Meeting Room - Palaexpo, entrance A2 (basement) duringVinitaly 2018, International Wine and Spirits Exhibition held in Verona 15-18 April. The event will be attended by producers,caterers, distributors, buyers and journalists from all over the world.

Journey around the world of rosé winesHost Franco ZilianiTasting tour with 10 rosé wines from various parts of ItalyThe Italy of wine today boasts a wealth of rosé, pink and blush wines from classic and traditional production areas such asthe two shores of Lake Garda, Abruzzo and Apulia, as well as other areas better known for their red wines demonstratingunexpected and modern skills through rosé wines of great personality made using strictly native grapes. This tour travelsfrom the North of Italy as far as Sicily (Etna) and seeks to demonstrate that even Italy has something to say in the context ofgrowing interest in rosé wines on international markets.

Most importantly, the Ceretto family has always realized the great importance of the historic crusof Barolo and Barbaresco and over the years have bought prime vineyard plots in some of Barolo's and Barbaresco'sgreatest crus: for example, Cannubi San Lorenzo in Barolo, Prapò in Serralunga d'Alba and Asili in Barbaresco.

Iris Room, Palaexpo Level-1 – Starting from 11.00 a.m.Vinitaly 2008-2018: 10 years of FIVI as told by its foundersOrganized by Slowfood and Vinitaly - Speakers: Giancarlo Gariglio and Matilde PoggiSlow Food took part in organizing the first conference of winemakers which would lead to the foundation, on July 17 of thesame year, of the Italian Federation of Independent Vignerons, FIVI (Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti), anorganization that today counts nearly 1000 members.To mark this important anniversary, Slow Food organizes, in collaboration with Vinitaly, a degustation featuring all the mainplayers of that exciting time, including Costantino Charrère (Les Cretes), Ampelio Bucci (Villa Bucci), Peter Dipoli, ManniNossing, Leonildo Pieropan, Saverio Petrilli (Tenuta di Valgiano), Walter Massa and Paolo Saracco.

THE DOCTOR WINE SELECTION Organized by Vinitaly in collaboration with Daniele Cernilli

Vinitaly Tasting - The DoctorWine Selection is the Vinitaly-tasting event, in collaboration with the journalist Daniele Cernilli, to present Italian excellence to the Horeca operators, both Italian and foreign, present at Vinitaly. DoctorWine has selected over 160 labels of white, red, rosé and sparkling wines from the various Italian regions. Inside the Vinitaly Tasting a free tasting area has been set up with wine-dispensers, in collaboration with Wineemotion, where sommelier preparations explain the characteristics and peculiarities of the wines, and a room dedicated to the thematic seminars held by the journalist Cernilli.
