• Several of the Questions we asked were:– What school do you belong to in Pace?– What kind of games do you play?– How many hours do you play?– How much money did you spend on videogames in 2005– Have you subscribed to any MMORPGS?– Has gaming influenced your social-life?– Does society have a bad view on videogames?– Do you think games influence children’s development– Which form of entertainment provides the most fun for you?

• We were able to get information from 25 people for our survey.– 14 males with an average age of 21– 11 females with an average age of 20

• Out of the 25 people, several were from different schools.– Dyson 9 (36%)– CSIS 10 (44%)– Business 4 (16%)– Education 1 (4%)

• According to our survey most of the people that play games here at PACE come from the CSIS or the Dyson schools.

• Our second question was what type of games do most people play?

• According to the graph and our survey, men and women enjoy different types of games. – Men prefer role-playing, sports, and strategy

games, while women prefer adventure and other types of games.

– However both men and women almost seem equal when it comes to action games.

• In total out of the 25 people:- 13 of 25 play action games– 4 of 25 play adventure games– 15 of 25 play role-playing games– 7 of 25 play sports games– 8 of 25 play strategy games– 5 of 25 play other types of games

• How many hours people spend playing videogames in a week

• What we found out was that most people spend around 10-15 hours a week playing videogames, and others spend around 4-8 hours playing.

• Very few spend over 25 hours a week playing videogames.

• Here it is visible that people spend $50 or less on videogames on average.

• It can also be said that men spend more money on videogames than women do.

• Because MMORPG’s like Everquest are usually not free, and require a subscription fee, it is not surprising that most of the people checked no.

• According to the graph most people believe on some scale that videogames influence their social lives, or not at all.

• It is also surprising that men or the most to agree, and women are the most to stay neutral on the subject.

• This is controversial today.

• On the 25 people that we surveyed most agree that society has a bad perception about videogames, though if more people were surveyed it might very well be even between agree, or disagree.

• This question is also very controversial .

• Most agree that videogames have an influence on children’s development.

• Whether they do or not is yet to be proven beyond a doubt, but it would not be a surprise if it was proven.

• For the most fun men and women are different on the issue.

• According to the graph men think videogames are the most enjoyable, while women seem to like music and reading just a little bit above videogames.
