    2.0 SOIL INVESTIGATION REPORT

    BO COA CHT

The site soil investigation is being carried out at present. Based on the earlier Phases of thedevelopment and knowledge and understanding of the soils in the area, the site has a sandfill ofapproximately 1.4m on top of the existing natural ground. As the soil investigation report has notbeen completed, the foundation design at this stage will be based on the soil investigation report fromthe other Phases of the development. .Cng tc kho sta chtangc thc hin. There are numerous methods to maintain the stability under the application of the horizontal loads(Wind or Seismic). For these simple 3 storey villas stability is achieved by reinforced concretemoment resisting beam and column frames located in both directions.C rt nhiu phng n duy trn nh di ti trng ngang (tI trng gi v a chn). i vin nh ca khu bit th2 tngn gin, ta dng khung ct v dm b tng chng un t theo c hai

For this project both the British (BS) and Vietnamese standards are to be used. The BS codes will bedesigned calculation of dead loads, live loads, load combinations and the elemental size andreinforcement design for all concrete items. The Vietnamese codes will be used for both wind andseismic loads as these 2 items are subject to local geographical conditions.i vi D n ny, c hai Tiu chun Anh (BS) v Tiu chun Vit Nam u c p dng.
