Outstanding Student Awards, congratulations!
Several students are considering Ferris State University as a college
choice. On their way home Sunday, they stopped by Ferris to visit a
former Upward Bound student, Rosa Escobar and she gave
them a mini-tour. Thank you Rosa!

Fundraisers
In the last newsletter we shared that Boston was a consideration for the summer
cultural trip. We have not made it a final decision because to date, we do not have the
participation we need to fund the basic travel budget. To meet our goal we need to
have more student participation. 9th & 10th grade students should sell enough prod-
uct or raise enough funds to have a profit of at least $50.00. Students who are
currently 11th graders and will be seniors this summer should raise enough funds to
have a profit of at least $75.00. The students who raise a profit of at least $350.00 and who have met all
other criteria will be able to participate in the cultural trip. This will be a ‘thank you’ for helping the
program raise enough funds to meet the minimum budget required for standard program activities and
with the cost of the cultural trip.
