Relate Bedfordshire and Luton are holding an auction event in Luton to raise funding to increase

the weekly delivery hours of its young people counselling service at the TOKKO youth space,

Luton. From April Relate will be delivering 22 hours per week and yet it still has a waiting list of 70 young people - and growing!! It is a fantastically

successful service but Relate needs to fund more hours to meet the demand.

The date and venue of the event is: Monday 8th June, 6-8pm, UK Centre for Carnival Arts,

Luton

We have secured an auctioneer, Russell Beard, of Coopers Beard, local estate agents with an auction house in Woburn.

We are putting together 'lots' for the catalogue,

wherever possible based around what people might enjoy doing as a special experience without

it costing too much for the donor for example, Coopers Beard is offering the highest bidder training in how to be an auctioneer for a day.

Is there any way you could assist us in

offering something for auction, ie design work, legal advice, a weekend break, etc? We need 30 lots in total with values from 5 upwards (so

everyone could bid) and ideally we need these by the end of this month.

We are working with the Carnival Arts Centre to get one of the steel bands from Luton Carnival to

'play people in' and a couple of performers to welcome/entertain as well. We will offer guests a
