The Founding of The UN

• With outbreak of World War 2 on September 1, 1939, the League of Nations was viewed as an ineffective failure

• On April 25,1945 at a conference of International Organizations, in San Francisco, California, the idea of our present day United Nations was created

• The United Nations was officially created on this date when the United Nations security council ratified the U. N. charter
