Wecome Note
Dear reader, We are extremely proud to release UNITED FRIENDS’s Annual Activity Report 2014-15. We welcome you to our organisation and hope that you will be impressed with the work we have achieved over the previous year. Our work during 2011/12 continued to focus around our ten main project areas of Health, rural sports, literacy & adult for free education, IT Education and free coaching centre for poor, dropout and backward for the welfare of the society, Governance and Livelihood, Skill Development and Self-Employment and we have also undertaken large amounts of work through the networks we are involved and associated with. UNITED FRIENDS’s involvement in these networks has become extremely important to the organisation as they are an opportunity to work with similar organisations towards a unified goal. Our participation in these networks also presents us with the possibility of sharing our practices amongst like-minded organisations. Recently, it has become important not only to concentrate on the work that we are achieving but also on how UNITED FRIENDS is perceived. We are striving to become a transparent and accountable organisation and have taken steps towards this through gaining accreditation from Credibility Alliance and the development of workplace policies. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved in the successes and developments of this organisation during the last three year, especially all of our funding agencies, resource agencies and partner organisations for their support, guidance and collaboration. We also wish to thank the local communities that we work with who make the projects possible through shared endeavour, participation and the willingness of volunteers. Lastly we feel it is very important to thank our staff and well-wishers. At UNITED FRIENDS the hard work and dedication of the staff continues to help this organisation to deliver achievements and make a real impact for development in our local communities. Our vision of the vulnerable leading a healthy and dignified life has still not materialised and there is a lot more work that can be done, but by demonstrating to you our achievements of last year we hope you will be able to see the steps that are being taken in the right direction. Finally, we extend an invitation to you to visit our organisation to witness our work. We are always happy to meet people interested in what we do and who give us the opportunity to demonstrate the progress that we are a part of.
