ASSG Council
The Council is the organization that suggests, approves and manages the Association’s activities.
The Association:
• Facilitate the development of relations among the students of the University of Gastronomic Sciences and the university staff, the Slow Food association, the territory's population, the world of work and other third parties.
• Represent the community of students, in consultation with the bodies of the University, at the stakeholders in the development of the University of Gastronomic Sciences and from third parties in general.
• Encourage integration and cultural exchanges between Italian students and students of different nationality.
• The Association, within its aims, supports the cooperation with the Slow Food Convivium of the Students of Gastronomic Sciences, with the Alumni Association, and any other Association with similar and common purposes..

• Strengthen relationships between students and former students in collaboration with the Association Alumni Unisg.
• Promote and manage recreational or gourmet-friendly initiatives, compatible with the cultural and artistic purposes of the ASSG priority.
• Promote the participation of students in organizational dynamics and university teaching.
• Promote guidance, professional development and continuing education of members planning efforts among students.
The students enrolled to the Università degli Studi di Scienze Gastronomiche
are ordinary members.Members has pair rights and duties towards the
ASSG.

Student Representatives
The students representatives will be entrusted with the task of dealing directly with the administration of the university on matters concerning our welfare and studies.
• Proposals and, if required, give advice on matters relating to teaching, services for the students and the right to education;
• Expresses opinions on the organization of the services of part-time students for activities to support teaching, research and the right to study;
• Establish the rules for its operation, which must be approved by the Board of Directors.

Equal Opportunity
The student representative in the equal opportunity committee is entrusted with the responsibility of guarding the rights of all students regardless of thoughts or opinions, beliefs, lifestyles, academic life, physical problems or any other personal aspects which others might be inclined to discriminate against but instead should be respected.
Disciplinary Commission
The student representative in the disciplinary commission is entrusted with the responsibility of representing a student’s point of view in the commission and that it follows correct procedure of sanction if and when a student is charged with a misdemeanor. The representative has the right to question the decisions taken by the commission, made up by the University President, Chancellor, Director and the student representative to arrive at the most objective outcome. It will be the representative’s duty to investigate into the disciplinary matter, talking with the different parties involved in order to reconstruct the event objectively.
