Overview

The UAPM 11.3.4 Service Release was designed to:- Address a number of common r11 usability issues

reported by customers- Improve navigation and reduce the number of

keystrokes- Include a number of Argis wizards not delivered in the

initial UAPM r11 release- Bundle a number of new options currently available on

SupportConnect


Enhancements Overview

Usability and Navigation Enhancements- Default basic search values to previously used value- Usability enhancements within advanced search:

Management of existing criteria Adding ability to control field order

- Audit Trail Enhancements Exposing time stamp Sort Order ascending based upon date and time

- High growth Dropdown lists replaced by Lookups- All lookups now support the ability to resolve or narrow down

search without opening a search window. This is activated by tabbing out of the field.

- Improved Cost Center Hierarchy creation and management

All Level 2 Fixes are rolled into this release

Enhancement: Default Basic Search

Remembers the last ‘search by’ criteria field for

each user for each object.


Enhancement: Advanced Search Navigation and Management

Added ability to control field order

Added ability to identify field position when selecting a new field. The new field will be inserted above the selected ‘Display’ field.

Easily move fields up and down the list.


Enhancement: Advanced Search Navigation and Management

Improved Management of Existing Criteria- Prior to this release, to remove one criteria you had to remove all

criteria. We have added a button to allow you to remove individual criteria.

- The user will now be prompted to save any criteria changes when trying to run an advanced search after making changes and not saving them.

Enhancement: ‘High Growth’ Dropdowns replaced by Lookup Lists

All dropdowns identified as ‘High Growth’ have been replaced by Lookup Lists.- High Growth constitutes any list which has the potential to have a

long list of values. This includes many relationship fields (ex. the contact, location, and company on the asset screen) and dropdown lists including cost center, department and GL code.

In conjunction with the conversion to a lookup list, the user can now enter text and ‘tab out’ to perform a search and receive a short list of matching values.- If only one value is found, the field is populated.

The result is fewer key strokes for quicker navigation and data entry.

Enhancement: Cost Center Hierarchy Management

The screen to create and manage the cost center hierarchy has been improved.

The hierarchies values were moved from the left-hand side to the window to better manage larger numbers of records.

New Wizard: Change Asset Model

Was available in Argis via the Administration client

Allows you to reassign existing assets to a different model

Typically used when customers identify duplicate models and want to consolidate them

Also available to identify assets not assigned to models which can occur if you create assets in Unicenter Service Desk

A wide array of fields are available for mass change on each major object.

Available for all major objects (assets, contacts, legal documents, locations, models, organizations, sites, and companies)

Only accessible through the advanced search

Allows you to identify which records are eligible for the mass change based upon your advanced search results.

Allows you to:- Change all search results records- Only those records matching the field value you entered- Only those records where the field you selected is null

Wizard to move software from one hardware asset to another.

Enhancement: Create Additional Software Asset Types

Only the ‘Software’ asset type exposes the screen which presents the software license attributes.

PROBLEM: For those customers who created their own asset types, they could not identify an asset type of ‘software’ to show the software attribute screen.

This enhancement allows users to flag any asset type as software to expose and capture the software license attributes.

Enhancement: Reverse Search on Entitlements

For those customers managing a large number of software entitlements, it was difficult to locate a specific entitlement from within the software record.

The reverse search enhancement allows you to search on entitlements from the ‘entitlee’ which now includes asset, contact, location and company.- Prior to 11.3.4 you could only see software entitlements from a

hardware asset.- This enhancement adds contact, location and company.
