On behalf of myself and the county board I would like to welcome the both

Westport U12 teams to this U12 County Shield Final.

The U12 Mayo Camogie League has grown this year to six teams with

Claremorris playing and both Westport & Castlebar able to field two teams. It

has been a busy summer for all with lots of fixtures being played and it is great

to see so many girls taking up the sport and enjoying playing.

The very best of luck to both teams and coaches today. No matter what

happens today, Westport Camogie is the winner! The most important thing in

sport is to enjoy playing the game and making friends. Let us never lose sight

of this.
