THE PRESIDENTIAL CROSS CHAT XRAY STEVE

On behalf of the Rotary Club of Diamond Creek, I wish to welcome

you to the Combined Services Dinner 2012.

I ask you to celebrate the contribution you have made, in your

own special way to the Diamond Valley Community.

Please welcome each other, there are members from the Men’s

Shed, Diamond Valley Lions, 1st Diamond Creek Scouts, Road Safe Metro Nth Eastern, Blue light Disco Diamond Creek Police, Diamond Creek CFA, Greensborough Lions, Living and Learning Centre and Councilors and representatives from Nillumbik Shire Council.

Our special guest speakers tonight are your representatives,

giving us a brief overview from your organisation or Club. This

will be informative, inspirational and entertaining. A snapshot of

the various Service organisations here in Diamond Valley.

Approximately 15 years ago, the Rotary Club of Diamond Creek held a dinner which would enable the local Diamond Valley Service Clubs to get together and be able to learn about the remarkable work that each of them undertake in our local community. This dinner has become an annual event with a different club organising it each year.

I wish to thank our major sponsors, Nillumbik Shire Council and

the Bendigo Community Bank. They support many of our efforts to

serve those in the Diamond Valley area.

President Steve Crosling.

The Diamond Creek Town Fair layout has now been updated and

distributed to all Stall holders.

We now have an all weather event.

With coloured Market Stalls along Elizabeth Street giving a ‘Street

Fair’ appeal.

Using the hard car park surface around Coventry oval the Market

stalls continue with food, coffee and Ice cream stalls along the way.

New exciting additions include the Bendigo Bank's sponsored

'Enchanted Forest' children's stage area, complete with fairys,

goblins, story tellers and more.

On the oval Sports Action. The 60 meter running track and many

sporting clubs promoting active displays. The Greensborough Plaza

sponsored Main Stage is also on the oval - bring a picnic rug, sit back

enjoy the space and the entertainment.

The new layout has also increased the Children's ride area, with

more space you can expect more new rides.

The Car display, always a favourite attraction now is located along

the grassed incline spectators area to the western end of Coventry

Oval. What a spectacular way to display the Cars.

If your Club or Association wishes to be part of the Fair, with over

aprox. 30,000 visitors during the day to book, go online to:
